Reading Exodus 36 for Friday, May 12th. Moses had to tell the people to stop bringing offerings, because they had enough to finish the temple.

Reading Exodus 35 for Thursday, May 11th. The people are reminded not to work on the sabbath day. After collecting necessary supplies, the first two master craftsmen and art teachers are filled with God’s spirit.

Reading Exodus 34 for Wednesday, May 10th. Moses had a radiant face that scared people at first.

Reading Exodus 33 for Tuesday, May 9th. God shows his glory to Moses without showing him his face, because he didn’t want him to die.

Reading Exodus 32 for Monday, May 8th. Moses broke the first two tablets on the ground when he saw how depraved the Israelites were and Aaron failed a test of his leadership.

Reading Exodus 31 for Saturday, May 6th. God fills Bezalel with His spirit and gave him artistic skills and abilities to craft many things designated for service in God’s temple.

Reading Exodus 30 for Friday, May 5th. Instructions are detailed for making anointing oil and incense that we are explicitly commanded not to make to enjoy for ourselves, but only for anointing priests and for burning in God’s presence.

Reading Exodus 29 for Thursday, May 4th. Instructions are given to make Aaron and his sons ready and consecrated so that God will dwell among them and the Israelites.

Reading Exodus 28 for Wednesday, May 3rd. God gives details on what the priests are to wear, and the design of what is to be made of.

Reading Exodus 27 for Tuesday, May 2nd. Instructions are given for the building of the altar, the courtyard, and a golden lamp stand that is to be burning continually for generations.

Reading Exodus 26 for Monday, May 1st. Instructions are given for the building of the Tabernacle.

Reading Matthew 22 for Friday, April 28th. People will be ‘like angels’ at the resurrection, in that they will not be married or given in marriage.

Reading Matthew 21 for Thursday, April 27th. Jesus started cleaning up the wrong things happening in His father’s house, and told a story that eluded to his death.

Reading Matthew 20 for Wednesday, April 26th. God will be generous with whoever He wants, so don’t be envious of others or you are missing the point.

Reading Matthew 19 for Tuesday, April 25th. Jesus says you can learn a lot from little children, so don’t hinder them.

Reading Matthew 18 for Monday, April 24th. Forgive each other or God will withhold His forgiveness to you.

Reading Exodus 25 for Saturday, April 22nd. God gives Moses His plans for how the Temple’s furnishings are to be crafted, and from what materials.

Reading Exodus 24 for Friday, April 21st. God, Moses, The elders and the people prepare to receive God’s law, and the altar and the people get sprinkled with blood. 

Reading Exodus 23 for Thursday, April 20th. More laws to ensure the fair treatment of property including livestock and that honest testimony is given. 

Reading Exodus 22 for Wednesday, April 19th. Do not curse the ruler of your people. 

Reading Exodus 21 for Tuesday, April 18th. How to resolve legal damages for Hebrew slaves and manslaughter vs murder offenses. 

Reading Exodus 20 for Monday, April 17th. God gives the Ten Commandments to Moses and the Israelites. 

Reading Exodus 19 for Saturday, April 15th. God tells Moses how he can be approached and by whom. 

Reading Exodus 18 for Friday, April 14th. Jethro, Moses’ his father-in-law had some helpful advice to give him. 

Reading Exodus 17 for Thursday, April 13th. The people grumbled and argued with Moses about their thirst, and God miraculously provided water for them. A battle ensued with the Amalekites, and the Israelites continued to win, as long as Moses’ staff was being held up. 

Reading Exodus 16 for Wednesday, April 12th. God delivered only enough bread and meat for each and every day for forty years, and allowed double to be collected before the sabbath day, so they would not need to go out on the Sabbath. 

Reading Exodus 15 for Tuesday, April 11th. Miriam and others sing and play tambourines to celebrate what God has done. 

Reading Exodus 14 for Monday, April 10th. God fights for the Israelites and miraculously kills all of Pharaoh’s chariot drivers in the sea. 

Reading Exodus 13 for Saturday, April 8th. God guided the Israelites through the desert by day and night with a pillar of fire and clouds. He instructed them to give their firstborn to Him as well. 

Reading Exodus 12 for Friday, April 7th. God spared the lives of the firstborn of those who obeyed His instructions for the Passover. 

Reading Exodus 11 for Thursday, April 6th. The Lord sends a message to Pharaoh that he will kill all the firstborn sons of Egypt, but Pharaoh still does not let them go. 

Reading Exodus 10 for Wednesday, April 5th. Moses asked Pharaoh to let the people and their livestock go, but Pharaoh would not budge even though Egypt suffered for it. 

Reading Exodus 9 for Tuesday, April 4th. Really bad plagues came and caused pain and suffering for the Egyptians, but Pharaoh would still not let the Israelites go. 

Reading Exodus 8 for Monday, April 3rd. Even Pharaoh’s magicians were convinced that God was acting in the miracles, because they could not turn dust into gnats, but Pharaoh did not listen to them. 

Reading Matthew 17 for Friday, March 31st. Jesus is transfigured while meeting with Moses and Elijah, Peter offers to build shelters for their guests. Jesus later explains how John the Baptist was a fulfillment of Elijah’s return. Jesus heals a boy that his disciples did not have enough faith to heal. Reading Matthew 16 Thursday, March 30th. Jesus refuses to perform another miracle for the benefit of the Pharisees, gives authority to Peter after he correctly identifies Him as the Christ, then later calls Peter Satan for having in mind the things of men, rather than God. 

Reading Matthew 15 for Wednesday, March 29th. Jesus heals a Canaanite woman’s daughter, even though she was not His first priority. 

Reading Matthew 14 for Tuesday, March 28th. People were healed by simply touching the edge of Jesus’ cloak. 

Reading Matthew 13 for Monday, March 27th. Jesus taught in parables, and didn’t explain all of them to the general public. 

Reading Matthew 12 for Friday, March 24th. Jesus upsets the Pharisees and highlights the importance of his relationship with those who obey the Father over his biological relatives. 

Reading Exodus 7 for Thursday, March 23rd. Moses performs miracles as God commanded him, but Pharaoh’s magicians did similar miracles, and Pharaoh was still not willing to allow The Israelites to go. 

Reading Exodus 6 for Wednesday, March 22nd. God tells Moses to ask Pharaoh again to let His people go, but Moses asks why anyone would care to listen to him. 

Reading Exodus 5 for Tuesday, March 21st. Moses tells Pharaoh what God commanded, but Pharaoh only made the work harder for God’s people. 

Reading Exodus 4 for Monday, March 20th. God prepared Moses to confront Pharaoh. Then Moses meets with God on the way to Egypt, and, to avoid their son’s immediate death, Moses’ wife Zipporah does an emergency circumcision on their son to confirm his also being set apart as one of God’s chosen people. 

Reading Exodus 3 for Friday, March 17th. God has a plan to address the situation between the people of Israel and Egypt. 

Reading Exodus 2 for Thursday, March 16th. Moses is born, hidden, raised as an Egyptian, and kills another Egyptian for beating an Israelite. He then flees as a fugitive to a place where he is accepted, and then is given a wife. 

Reading Exodus 1 for Wednesday, March 15th. The new Pharaoh saw the Israelites as a threat, and tried to suppress their growth. 

Reading Genesis 50 for Tuesday, March 14th. Jacob was taken to be buried with his relatives after being embalmed. Joseph had mercy on his fearful brothers. Joseph died at the age of 110. 

Reading Genesis 49 for Monday, March 13th. Jacob gave prophetic words for each of his sons, gave instructions on where to bury him, and then he died in his bed. 

Reading Genesis 48 for Saturday, March 11th. Joseph visits his father Israel and his sons are blessed in a different order than expected.
