Reading Jeremiah 8 for Monday, April 11th. God really doesn’t like it when His people worship idols. 

Reading Jeremiah 7 for Friday, April 8th. God wants obedience over offerings and sacrifices. 

Reading Jeremiah 6 for Thursday, April 7th. Jerusalem will be attacked by an army from the north, because nobody in Jerusalem will listen to or obey God. 

Reading Jeremiah 5 for Wednesday, April 6th. God plans to punish Jerusalem and allow terrible things to happen to them because not even one person deals honestly and seeks the truth. 

Reading Jeremiah 4 for Tuesday, April 5th. God speaks through Jeremiah telling his people to turn from their evil ways and aim to know and understand how to do good. 

Reading Jeremiah 3 for Monday, April 4th. Don’t be like Judah who turned to the Lord in pretense. 

Reading Jeremiah 2 for Friday, April 1st. God tells his people that they have rebelled and forsaken Him, and will suffer consequences from that choice when He withholds support from their trusted allies. 

Reading John 15 for Thursday, March 31st. Jesus teaches his disciples that they need to stay connected to Him, and what they can expect from the world after He leaves. 

Reading John 14 for Wednesday, March 30th. Jesus explains that to know Him is to know The Father. Then he predicts the evening’s events. 

Reading John 13 for Tuesday, March 29th. Jesus teaches the disciples to serve one another as he served them, then predicts his own betrayal and Peter’s denial. 

Reading John 12 for Monday, March 28th. Jesus had a meal with Lazarus and others, and many Jewish leaders who were interested in seeing Lazarus, and put their faith in Jesus, but were afraid to confess their faith publicly. Prophesies were fulfilled and some refused to believe, which also was a fulfillment of prophesy. 

Reading John 11 for Friday, March 25th. Lazarus dies, and Jesus is moved by the sad moment, and then He raises Lazarus to life, which causes quite a reaction among the Pharisees, especially one who prophesies that Jesus will die for the Jewish Nation. Now Jesus is being actively hunted by the religious establishment. 

Reading Jeremiah 1 for Thursday, March 24th. God calls Jeremiah to tell his people that they will be attacked, but not to be terrified. God will keep them safe. 

Reading Isaiah 66 for Wednesday, March 23rd. God esteemed those with humility and those who revere His word. 

Reading Isaiah 65 for Tuesday, March 22nd. God welcomes people, but they are obstinate and reject Him. God will bless his servants. 

Reading Isaiah 64 for Monday, March 21st. God is so powerful and we are all sinners, but ask Him not to remember our sins forever. 

Reading Isaiah 63 for Friday, March 18th. God unleashes his wrath, then his redemption. 

Reading Isaiah 62 for Thursday, March 17th. God renamed Zion and other nations notice it. 

Reading Isaiah 61 for Wednesday, March 16th. It is good to have The Lord’s favor. 

Reading Isaiah 60 for Tuesday, March 15th. Zion will be no longer repressed, and will get several building upgrades and lighting enhancements. 

Reading Isaiah 59 for Monday, March 14th. If God sees injustice, He will look for a person to stand up and intercede, but if none are found, He will bring justice himself. 

Reading Isaiah 58 for Friday, March 11th. God calls out people for fasting while fist fighting each other and neglecting the poor and needy among them. 

Reading Isaiah 57 for Thursday, March 10th. “…no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.” -vs. 1b 

Reading Isaiah 56 for Wednesday, March 9th. Don’t be depressed because you can’t have children. God will bring you more honor with His name than children could bring you. 

Reading Isaiah 55 for Tuesday, March 8th. Don’t worry about what is not bread and what does not satisfy. The thirsty are invited to come to The LORD. 

Reading Isaiah 54 for Monday, March 7th. God describes Zion as a rejected widow who He takes as His own and protects and allows to flourish under His care. 

Reading Isaiah 53 for Friday, March 4th. Jesus had nothing notable in his appearance to attract others to himself, and was a man of sorrows. His innocent death brought intercession for all who believe to reconcile us to God. 

Reading Isaiah 52 for Thursday, March 3rd. Prophecy I believe is referring to Jesus’ marred and disfigured face before his crucifixion and the affect on all nations. 

Reading Isaiah 51 for Wednesday, March 2nd. Zion was subject to God’s wrath, but now his wrath will be directed to their oppressors and they will be saved from being trampled underfoot. 

Reading Isaiah 50 for Tuesday, March 1st. We can persevere through ridicule and suffering because we know The LORD will vindicate us. 

Reading John 10 for Monday, February 29th. Jesus teaches about how he is the only gate to safe pasture and his followers are sheep who trust and know the good shepherd. The Jews then tried to stone Jesus for blasphemy, but he got away. 

Reading John 9 for Friday, February 26th. What is worse than spiritual blindness? False piety and denial. 

Reading John 8 for Thursday, February 25th. Jesus has a talk with some Jews about their affiliations and motives. 

Reading John 7 for Wednesday, February 24th. Jesus goes to the feast of tabernacles and many people argue about who he is. 

Reading John 6 for Tuesday, February 23rd. Jesus said and did things that made it harder to follow him. 

Reading Isaiah 49 for Monday, February 22nd. Israel is God’s servant and will be rescued by God, to His glory. 

Reading Isaiah 48 for Friday, February 19th. God pre-announces the rescuing of his people from Babylon, so that their idols don’t get the credit. 

Reading Isaiah 47 for Thursday, February 18th. The daughter of Babylon has a rude awakening coming. 

Reading Isaiah 46 for Wednesday, February 17th. God brings his righteousness close. 

Reading Isaiah 45 for Tuesday, February 16th. God is all there is, don’t ignore His power. 

Reading Isaiah 44 for Monday, February 15th. God does not like idolatry. 

Reading Isaiah 43 for Friday, February 12th. God declared Himself the only savior, and explains that forgiveness is for His own sake. 

Reading Isaiah 42 for Thursday, February 11th. God prefers to lead the blind on unfamiliar paths, than to have them trust in idols. 

Reading Isaiah 41 for Wednesday, February 10th. God helps His people, and asks what idols have done to benefit those who trust in them? 

Reading Isaiah 40 for Tuesday, February 9th. God is hard to describe, but He is powerful, and is available to comfort His people. 

Reading Isaiah 39 for Monday, February 8th. Hezekiah is congratulated by representatives of a country that is prophesied to later carry away all of his kingdoms possessions and members of his household, but still is glad for the news not being worse. 

Reading Isaiah 38 for Friday, February 5th. Hezekiah gets sick and is told he is going to die, but cries out to God in prayer. God extends his life another 15 years. 

Reading Isaiah 37 for Thursday, February 4th. Hezekiah requests help from God regarding his enemy. God saves. 

Reading Isaiah 36 for Wednesday, February 3rd. Hezekiah’s kingdom of Jerusalem is challenged by the field commander of Assyria. 

Reading Isaiah 35 for Tuesday, February 2nd. This chapter talks about what will happen when God removes the curse from this world and rewards the righteous.
