When were driving in the rain, we always give ourselves extra space, because we know it takes us longer to stop in the rain than it does on dry pavement. So why don't we do the same when it's "raining" in our daily lives? When we're feeling irritable, or on edge, why aren't we giving ourselves some extra space to help avoid crashing into those we love?
