Ep 93Ep. 93 - Angell Deer - Shamanism, Forestry, Medicine, & Service

Hey everybody! Episode 93 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friend Angell Deer. Angell and I met last year when he hosted myself and my colleague, Merav Artzi, where we ran plant-medicine retreats at his wonderful property, The Sanctuary. So I enjoyed being able to sit down with Angell and learn more about his story, what brought him into this work, and what he has to share. He’s had a varied life and has an interesting perspective drawing from his own life experience and having worked in many traditions. I think you’ll get a lot out of Angell’s sharing and his wisdom. Enjoy!“After a career that scaled the heights of corporate success as a CEO of global companies, I reached a turning point in my life – material success and trappings had not necessarily made me really happy or fulfilled. I had a big degree, a big job, and success that most people aspire for, but I was not happy. I decided to completely change my life and embarked on a journey of self-exploration and meditation that took me from working with Mother Teresa’s mission in India, to the jungles of Peru in search of finding meaning in life and fulfillment beyond the material demands of society today. Through seeking to transform my own life to live with a higher purpose, I made a life-changing commitment to helping others in their search for peace, harmony, and happiness. During the last 10 years and my transformative journeys across Asia & South America, I had rare opportunities to study and meditate with master healers and teachers of all faiths. I am trained in Shamanism, Reiki & Medical Reiki, Sufi Healing, Sound Healing, Meditation, Herbalism, and Breathwork. …In 2015, I opened The Sanctuary Healing Center on my property in the Catskills where I do in-depth work with my clients, host workshops, and cultivates the land for organic vegetable farming, medicinal plants, and honey bees.” To contact or learn more about Angell and The Sanctuary, and to read his full bio, visit his website at: https://www.thesanctuaryheal.com/If you enjoy the show, it would be a big help if you could share it with your own audiences via social media or word of mouth. Ep 92Ep. 92 - Linda Christine Adams - Plant Medicines, Indigenous Wisdom Traditions, & Healing

Hey everybody! Episode 92 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Linda Christine Adams. Linda was recommended to me by a mutual friend of ours, Kylea Taylor, who I interviewed in episode 59. Kylea spoke very highly of Linda as a healer and wisdom keeper so I took her word for it and was very happy to have connected with Linda. Linda has been walking her path of medicine and healing since a young age and has studied many modalities of healing, weaving them together in her practice. We spoke about Acupuncture, Chinese medicine, ayahuasca, dietas, iboga, and distance healing. It was a pleasure for me to connect with Linda and have her share her knowledge and wisdom and I hope you all enjoy this episode. As always, to support this podcast, get early access to shows, bonus material, and Q&As, check out my Patreon page below. Enjoy!“From an early age, Linda has been initiated by elders, healers and shamans from around the world. She is the innovator of Empyrean Energy Work, Holographic Reflexology and Elemental Qi Gong. She channels high frequencies of Light from the Cosmos and Healing Love from the Great Mother through her voice and through her remote work. She is a passionate guide in healing our separation from Earth and in the reweaving of earth based culture. When I was 19 I received a very clear message that my life path was to be of service. At 20 she had an accident that left me unable to walk. This was the first initiation on her path as a healer, and how she met her first teacher and regained the ability to walk.Since that time healers, teachers and shamans from many places and many traditions have mentored and initiated her and the process continues to this day.Her studies have called her to the far corners of Earth, from Vietnam to the High Andes, the Amazon Rainforest and beyond.A near death experience in 2017 opened her capacity to channel the Light frequencies of the Cosmos and shortly after this she received a visitation by the Great Mother Herself. All of this wisdom and experience is integrated into all that Linda offers.Through her interactive remote work Linda specializes in integration of non-ordinary experiences, working with core wounds, healing through ancestral lineages, and helping to clear blockages to awakening and the expression of our true gifts.”To learn more or to connect with Linda, visit her website at: https://www.intotheheartoftheworld.earthIf you enjoy the show, it’s a big help if you can share it via social media or word of mouth. Ep 90Ep. 90 - Dr. Alka Patel - Health As a Verb, Allopathic Care, & Holistic Medicine

Hey everybody! Episode 90 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Dr. Alka Patel. Alka was introduced to me and she has a very good TED Talk which I’ll link to below. Alka is a medical doctor and through a series of personal experiences began to see that there were other ways she could better help her patients, thus beginning to incorporate other modalities into a more holistic approach. I think it’s wonderful when any type of doctor is open to learning and broadening their knowledge and I think Alka really embodies this emerging field of medicine. She has a beautiful presence and ability to share her wisdom. I think you all will enjoy this episode. As always, to support this podcast, get early access to shows, bonus material, and Q&As, check out my Patreon page below. Enjoy!“I have been a medical doctor for over 20 years and I began my professional career much like many. On a professional high, driven to build my career and find success. But this drive in my professional life meant I put my health on the backburner. Closed my eyes to the signs in front of me.The result - a collision course with burnout that ended with me spending my birthday and weeks after in a hospital bed, close to shut down.I found out the hard way that my career in isolation wasn’t supplying me with the energy, resilience, strength and happiness that I needed, and that prioritising my health was by far the most important thing I needed to do to help my career to flourish.Creativity, productivity and longevity are all achieved when you give yourself the self-nourishment you need to feed your professional soul.Despite working hard as a Dr to help people become healthy, I realised that healthcare was headed in the wrong direction. An over-reliance on medication as a cure for every illness and a dependence on doctors to wipe away symptoms was detracting from what really mattered. With my shift in awareness, I discovered Lifestyle Medicine - an approach that focuses on the root cause of ill health through a whole-person approach and that embeds self-care at the root of living well. And so, through my extensive research and experience, The Lifestyle First Method® evolved – a proven approach for optimal health and happiness with easy to implement rapid actions based on my lifelong passion for health, science and compassion.”To contact or learn more about Dr. Alka Patel, visit her website at: https://dralkapatel.com/ and for her TED Talk: https://youtu.be/JpFLNk3_QikIf you enjoy the show, it’s a big help if you can share it via social media or word of mouth. Hey everybody! Episode 88 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Alumnis (Alejandra Ortiz). She had been highly recommended to me by a good friend and then recently someone who was dieting with Merav and myself also highly recommended her. Alumnis was also doing a retreat right next door and so it seemed serendipitous. Alumnis is a Colombian teacher who works with the voice. We had a really fascinating conversation about the power of the voice, how it can be opened and truly found, its healing effects, the power of the word, and we touched a bit on plant medicines as well, especially as the voice and song are often an integral part of many traditions. I really enjoyed this conversation and Alumnis really has a beautiful presence and wisdom that she shares from her own journey and work with others.

Episode 86 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with José López Sánchez. I have known José for a number of years since we both met working together at the Amazonian plant-medicine center the Temple of the Way of Light. I have worked extensively with his sisters and mother as well, Lila, Laura, and Ynes, who I also interviewed in previous episodes (see episodes 56 and 6). José is a highly-skilled and powerful Shipibo curandero, a doctor working with a traditional plant and energetic way of healing. He comes from a long line and family of healers and has been studying and working with plant medicines for a few decades now. In this episode, we talked about a number of subjects including his story, the Shipibos, ayahuasca, cosmovisions, and the importance of master plant dietas. José is quite special in that he has a mastery of both the Shipibo language as well as Spanish, and has worked with many Shipibos, mestizos, and foreigners. This ability to communicate this world of plant medicine and a knowledge of how different archetypal minds think is very unique and allows him to express sometimes esoteric or complex ideas in a language that a general public can easily understand and process. So I’m sure you all will learn a lot from José. Thank you to my friend Anne-Laure Vincke for the translation. The video version of the interview has subtitles while the audio version has English translation. Una nota: para ver las notas del programa en español para este episodio, visite mi sitio web a: https://www.universewithinpodcast.com/podcast/stephano-gutierrezHey everybody! Episode 84 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friend Stephano Gutierrez Manrique. I met Stephano a couple of years ago as we both practice Brazilian Jiu-jitsu in the Sacred Valley of Peru where he lives and works. Stephano works with plant medicines, especially Wuachuma, Wilca, and DMT. He also has a very good knowledge of the Andean cosmovision and we had a really interesting conversation about plant medicines, Qero, and ancestral knowledge, and even touched on ancient civilizations. Stephano has a lot to share and I learned from this conversation and I think and hope you all will as well. To support this podcast, get early access to shows, bonus material, and Q&As, check out my Patreon page below. Stephano was born and raised in Lima, Peru. Strongly pulled towards a quieter lifestyle, he left his career of Flair Bartender and management of hotels decided to change his life to live within the communities of the Sacred Valley of the Incas in order to seek his purpose in life. From his all journey since 2013, Stephano does not stop learning from the living knowledge that the indigenous people of the High Andean communities of  Cusco saves for those who earn their trust, Stephano learned from them an important ancient law called “Ayni” in Quechua the reciprocity, because thanks to the help to all the teachings that the Andean people of Cusco  and  “Pachamama” (Mother earth) gave him, Andean Encounters was founded to ascribe them back everything that the Andean people of Cusco did for him, thanks to it, Stephano found his purpose and he feels like a living entity son of Pachamama (Mother Earth) to be able to offer his most sacred secrets from the origins of Qosqo and its cosmogony so he can share it with the rest of the world. To learn more about Stephano, visit his websites at: http://www.andeanencounters.com/ & https://entheogensperu.com/ For more information about me and my upcoming plant medicine retreats with my colleague Merav Artzi, visit my site at: https://www.NicotianaRustica.orgSupport this podcast on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/UniverseWithin  Donate directly with PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/jasongrechanik Music courtesy of: Nuno Moreno (end song). Ep 83Ep. 83 - Alonso Del Rio - Ayahuasca, Ancestral Wisdom, & The Human Being

Una nota: para ver las notas del programa en español para este episodio, visite mi sitio web a: https://www.universewithinpodcast.com/podcast/alonso-del-rioHey everybody! Episode 83 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Alonso del Rio. I had heard about Alonso for a number of years and two of my friends spoke very highly of him. Alonso is an ayahuasquero who lives and works in the Sacred Valley of Peru and has a medicine center, Ayahuasca Ayllu. He also wrote a very good book called Tawantinsuyo 5.0. I knew Alonso had a lot of wisdom to share and this interview lived up to my hope. Alonso has been immersed in this work for over forty years and is one of the first people I know to have worked with the Shipibo people. That experience and wisdom are evident when Alonso speaks, being able to bridge the world of plants to the daily world and to be able to bridge many concepts into ideas that are easy to understand. To me, this is a sign of wisdom and it was a pleasure and honor to have Alonso share in this deep conversation. Thank you to my friend Bruno Morey for the translation. Ep 82Ep. 82 - A Conversation From Mikeadelic Podcast - Plant Medicines, Principles, Cognitive Liberty, & Truth

Hey everybody! Episode 82 of the show is out.  This is an interview I did a few months ago with my good friend Mike on his show Mikeadelic. It was my third time on his show and I think this was our best interview yet. Mike did a great job leading the conversation and I think we went really deep into topics around plant medicine work, ayahuasca, tobacco, and principles and truth. We got into some of the areas where we have seen the plant medicine community fall short on principles and what could be possible antidotes. I think this was a really important conversation and one that I hope will spark thought and a deeper look into truth and meaning. If you enjoy this conversation, consider checking out Mike’s work. He has a great podcast and is doing really good work. And as always, to support this podcast, get early access to shows, bonus material, and Q&As, check out my Patreon page below. Enjoy! For many years, Jason has had a deep interest in plants as medicine. After studying various modalities, he has lived, studied and worked in the Amazon for the past decade. He runs plant medicine dietas there and throughout the world and has facilitated for many years ayahuasca workshops at the Temple of the Way of Light. He also started a podcast called The Universe Within Podcast. In his free time he enjoys practices Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, spending time in nature, his motorcycle, and time at home. You can check out Mike’s excellent podcast on all the major podcasting platforms, including YouTube, or visit his site at: https://www.mikebranc.com/If you enjoy the show, it would be a big help if you could share it with your own audiences via social media or word of mouth. Ep 81Ep. 81 - Jeff Chilton - Mushrooms: The Medicinal, Nutritive & Spiritual

Hey everybody! Episode 81 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Jeff Chilton. I had been wanting to bring on someone since this podcast’s inception to speak about all of the different uses of mushrooms, from the nutritive, medicinal, and spiritual uses. So when I learned about Jeff and he agreed to come on, I was very happy as he really is the perfect person to speak on mushroom’s behalf. He has been working with mushrooms for nearly fifty years. He owns a company supplying high-quality mushrooms to other companies and has lived, breathed, and studied mushrooms and all of their benefits. I was really excited as we spoke about ancient cultures, esoteric philosophies, religion, and how plants and mushrooms play a pivotal role in perhaps the essence of all of these. Jeff is a really good guy with a lot of wisdom and knowledge to share and I think you all will get a lot from this episode. On a technical note, the Zoom meeting for some reason only recorded Jeff’s video and not mine, so you’ll hear me asking questions but only see Jeff’s video. Better that way than the other way! As always, to support this podcast, get early access to shows, bonus material, and Q&As, check out my Patreon page below. Enjoy!Jeff Chilton studied Ethno-mycology at the University of Washington in the late sixties and in 1973 began a 10 year career as a large scale commercial mushroom grower. Jeff is the co-author of The Mushroom Cultivator, published in 1983. In 1989 Jeff established Nammex, the first company to supply medicinal mushroom extracts to the Nutritional Supplement industry. In 1997 he organized the first organic certification workshop for mushroom production in China. Jeff is a founding member of the World Society for Mushroom Biology and Mushroom Products in 1994 and a Member of the International Society for Mushroom Science. Nammex extracts are used by many supplement and food companies and are noted for their high quality based on scientific analysis of the active compounds. Ep 78Ep. 78 - Ernesto Garcia Torres - Tobacco, Shamanism, & the Path of the Curandero

Una nota: para ver las  notas del programa en español para este episodio,  visite mi sitio web a:  https://www.universewithinpodcast.com/podcast/ernesto-garciaHey everybody! Episode 80 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friend and teacher, Ernesto Garcia Torres. I met Ernesto about a decade ago when I began apprenticing and learning from him how to diet and work with plant medicine. I knew from the moment I met him that I would develop a relationship with Ernesto. I saw strength, humility, confidence, and dedication in him that were unmatched. It also probably helped that he was a martial artist, so I liked that!. I have learned a great deal from Ernesto over the years, not just in terms of how to work with plants and what it means to be a good doctor, but also from his presence, and what it means to be a good man and to walk the path of someone who carries medicine. So it was a real pleasure and honor to sit down with him and have him share. I know you all will gain a lot from this interview. One note to mention is that he uses the word and idea of Jesus a lot, and for some that can be a loaded word, but he is clear that you can substitute any word that suits you better, such as god, nature, truth, etc. The interview is in Spanish and has been translated into English. Ep 72Ep. 72 - Jeremy Narby - Plant Teachers: Ayahuasca, Tobacco, and the Pursuit of Knowledge

Hey everybody! Episode 72 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Jeremy Narby. I was familiar with Jeremy for many years ever since the release of his popular book, The Cosmic Serpent. Jeremy recently released a new book, co-written with Rafael Chanchari Pizuri, called Plant Teachers: Ayahuasca, Tobacco, and the Pursuit of Knowledge. It’s a very good read and speaks about two plants that I have worked closely with: ayahuasca and tobacco. There has been a lot of literature released in the last decade about ayahuasca, but very little about tobacco, a plant in some ways equal to, and in some regards, more widely viewed as medicine than ayahuasca. I was very happy to hear that Jeremy had released a book talking about tobacco, because I feel there is a need for more clarity on this highly regarded plant medicine, and Jeremy is a great person to begin to speak about it. Hey everybody! Episode 70 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Jerónimo Mazarrasa. Jerónimo is the Social Innovation Coordinator for ICEERS (International Center for Ethnobotanical Education, Research and Service). I was familiar with ICEERS as they collaborated with the Temple of the Way of Light, where I have worked, on one of the largest studies on the therapeutic use of ayahuasca. Jerónimo has been involved in this work for a long time and I really enjoyed this conversation. In fact, it is probably one of my favorites in terms of the topics covered, the knowledge shared, and the wisdom presented. We spoke about a number of topics from the history of ayahuasca, the different groups and ways it is used, how to navigate and think about its global spread, how to honor the traditions from which it came, and what the future of these medicines may resemble. I trust this episode will impart a lot of knowledge and thought and I felt I myself learned a lot from this dialogue. He works as Social Innovation Coordinator for the ICEERS Foundation, and is a founding member of the Plantaforma (Platform for the Defense of Ayahuasca in Spain) in the last 5 years he has devoted most of his energy to figure out how ceremonial plant practices can be integrated outside of their cultures of origin. Hey everybody! Episode 66 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friend Kunti. Ep 60Ep. 60 - John Keegan - Relationships, Human Interaction, & The Now

Hey everybody! Episode 60 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friend John Keegan. John and I have been friends for a long time and we originally met in an acting class with the great Thomas G. Waites. John went on to take his improvisational skills to the streets to hone the art of meeting and connecting with people. He now teaches the art of connection, conversation, interaction, and relationships to people around the world. In my work, relationships are often one of the main goals people are looking to work on and also carry a lot of fear and trauma around. So it was great to have John share in his light-hearted wisdom on how we can improve this aspect of our lives. He draws heavily on his experience of flows states and being in the Now. I hope and trust you all will get a lot out of this episode. As always, to support this podcast, get early access to shows, bonus material, and Q&As, check out my Patreon page below. Enjoy!"Before John became a dating coach, he discovered that the playfulness and spontaneity are lacking in almost all social interactions. This epidemic transcends gender and socio-economic class. It's as common in society as it is dysfunctional, as ubiquitous among people as it is counter-productive to their core desires. His mission as a dating coach is to break this literal pattern, embrace the unexpected, transcend the paradigm, and evolve beyond the social and spiritual mediocrity of society at large.Beyond the expected is a world of the spontaneous, the creative, even the spiritual realm of connecting with friends and lovers we have yet to meet. It's John’s mission, to share his findings of this world of new possibilities with those who have yet to experience it.”For more info about John and his work, visit: https://theawakenedlifestyle.com/ and on Instagram @johnkeeganlifestyle and his YouTube channel at: https://youtube.com/c/JohnKeeganlifestyleThis episode of the show is sponsored by the Temple of the Way of Light. Hey everybody! Episode 58 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friend Will Pye. Will and I met many years ago when we both came down as guests to the Amazonian plant medicine center, The Temple of the Way of Light. I found myself in many discussions with Will over meals, and I knew and saw he had a great mind with a lot to share. I was fascinated by his journey of being diagnosed with a brain tumor, and how that was shaping and opening him to see life in unfolding ways. Will has a beautiful ability to draw upon many spiritual traditions and find meaning and clarity around them. We got into a quite deep philosophical discussion about many topics around spiritual traditions including plant medicines, and just about life in general. I had no doubt this conversation would go long, and I think you all will get a lot out of this episode as Will has a truly special mind. I have worked with the three of them on and off for the last decade and so it was a pleasure for me to sit down and catch up with them. They come from a lineage of Shipibo doctors and are a real joy to work with and learn from. They all have a tremendous dedication to this work and bring knowledge, wisdom, strength, love, and lightness to their work which is beautiful to witness. They don’t do many interviews so it was an honor to have them come on and share a bit of their wisdom. The interview is a mix of English, Spanish, and Shipibo. Ep 49Ep. 49 - Bill Park - Permaculture, Matsés and Indigenous Wisdom, & Climate Solutions

Hey everybody! Episode 49 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friend Bill Park. Bill and I met in the Peruvian Amazon about a decade ago. Bill created an Amazonia superfood company that works with indigenous communities and aims to empower them and preserve and regenerate the biodiversity of the jungle. He also started an NGO, Acaté Amazon Conservation, that works with the Matses community, aimed at “preserving the Amazon Rainforest in partnership with its protectors.” I had the opportunity to visit the Matses with Bill, working on a project of creating a plant medicine encyclopedia in Matses, by the Matses, and for the Matses. I learned a lot on that trip and have a lot of respect for Bill and the projects he is working on and the knowledge that he has. I think Bill is putting real solutions into action and I always enjoy talking to him. I consider Bill a philosopher in the truest sense and he has a lot of wisdom to share. I hope and imagine you all will get a lot out of this episode. To support this podcast, get early access to shows, bonus material, and Q&As, check out my Patreon page below."Bill brings a strong understanding of sustainable agriculture and natural products to Acaté. His interest in ecological agricultural practices and agroforestry was strengthened during his years living in Perú and exploring the Amazon. Bill is co-founder of Eco Ola, a company based in Perú that is pioneering application of permaculture techniques to revitalize eroded and abandoned areas of deforestation. As Acate’s Co-Founder and Director of Acaté Perú, Bill believes that strengthening local economies and providing choices for renewable resources in conjunction with the local communities is a critical element for conservation. His relationship with the Matsés began in 2003.”For more info about Bill and his work, visit: https://acateamazon.org/ and https://www.eco-ola.com/This episode is sponsored by the Temple of the Way of Light: https://templeofthewayoflight.org/This episode of the show is also sponsored by Xstatic Dance. Ep 45Ep. 45 - Tree Carr - Death & Dying, Dreams, Doulas, & Sacred Plant Medicines

Hey everybody! Episode 45 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Tree Carr. Tree was introduced to me by a mutual friend, Luis, who I interviewed in episode 25. Tree is a Death Doula and a Dreaming Guide. I find these two topics fascinating, because for me, if this path with plants and shamanism had to be boiled down to two topics, death and dreaming could certainly be seen as two of the fundamental pillars. So it was fascinating for me to be able to speak with Tree who specializes in exactly these two areas. Tree has a beautiful way of expressing herself and bringing these, sometimes abstract ideas, into very easy language and concepts, which isn’t an easy thing to do. This interview with Tree was a real pleasure, as can be seen by the fact that we went almost four hours! We got into a variety of topics including her background, death and dying, dreams, plant work, divination, and even witches! As Tree said, the word witch, often misunderstood, comes from Wicca, meaning wisdom. And I think in that sense Tree really embodies and expresses that wisdom beautifully. I trust you all will get a lot out of this episode. To view bonus material, get early access to shows, and Q&As, check out my Patreon page below."Tree is a published author and her book ‘DREAMS: How to Connect With Your Dreams to Enrich Your Life’, was released Dec. 2018 with Octopus Publishing. Her second book on dreams called ‘Conscious Dreamer’’ to be released May 2021 with Quarto Publishing Group. As a Dreaming Guide, Tree helps those seeking to activate, explore and further understand their dream realms by cultivating a bespoke daily dreaming practise... She is also booked for one on one dreaming guidance where the session delves into dream interpretation, meditations, rescripting of recurring dreams and methods for lucid dreaming. Tree works closely with oneirogens ( dreaming plants and herbs) as part of her conscious dreaming practise and facilitates workshops and ceremonies to connect people more deeply into their dream-work vis-a -vis the world of plants and herbs. Tree is also a CPD Crossfields Institute Certified Death Doula. Ep 44Ep. 44 - Roman Hanis - Paititi Institute, Sacred Science & Medicines, Esoteric Knowledge, & Healing

Hey everybody! Episode 44 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Roman Hanis. I have known about Roman since I arrived in the Amazonian jungles of Peru. And having worked in this field for the past decade, I've come to hear about many centers and people working with these medicines. It's rare to only hear good things about a place, but that's just the case with the Paititi Institute, which Roman founded. In this interview, Roman and I discussed myriad topics from his background and work, to ancient traditions, sacred plants medicines, learning, and healing. Roman has a beautiful way of expressing himself and putting, often esoteric or abstract ideas, into very understandable dialogue. I find Roman's view of the work and world of plant medicine to closely parallel mine, and so it was a pleasure to hear his point of view based on many years of personal and interpersonal work. Roman is one of the wiser voices in this field and this interview turned out to be one of my favorites in terms of the depth and knowledge that he shared. I hope and think you all will gain a lot from this interview. To view bonus material, get access to Q&A’s, and extended conversations, check out my Patreon page below. Enjoy!“Roman Hanis has been working closely with the indigenous Peruvian cultures in the Amazonian rainforest and Andean mountains since 2001. During this time he has devoted this life to learning the ancient healing ways of these cultures while seeking possibilities for creating ecological sources of sustenance for local populations and working to preserve the rainforest and its spiritual heritage of sacred medicinal plants…In 2002, Roman was fortunate enough to be cured of a terminal genetic illness , Crohn’s disease. In 2004, he was pledged as a healer-curandero by the Whitoto and Yahua tribes and has served the international community as a medicine man ever since…He speaks Spanish, Hebrew, Russian and English.Roman looks forward to eradicating suffering in the world and its cause, ignorance, by promoting education on the possibilities of more sustainable, harmonious relationships with nature, while simultaneously creating supportive, self-sustaining and nurturing communities.”For Roman’s full bio, visit: https://www.universewithinpodcast.com/podcast/roman-hanisTo learn more about Roman and the Paititi Institute, visit: https://paititi-institute.org/ and https://linktr.ee/paititiINSTITUTEThis episode is sponsored by the Temple of the Way of Light: https://templeofthewayoflight.org/Share the show, Subscribe or Follow, and if you can go on Apple Podcasts and leave a starred-rating and a short review.
