Meanwhile, only 5 out of every 1,000 perpetrators will end up in prison. While only 1/2 of 1% end up in prison, the victims are often left to feel imprisoned by their experience, with life-long feelings of guilt, shame, anger, and other negative emotions that severely limit their ability to feel safe and free to live the life they want.
