Shen is currently the co-founder & co-organizer of the Cornell Future Food Summit, a first-of-its-kind summit and platform aiming to empower and connect food fighters for a better food future. Previously, she was an Associate at global innovation engine Thought For Food (TFF), where she helped build out TFF's partner ecosystem in the US and ASEAN regions. She previously founded Fresco Foods (a social food venture at Cornell) and Fresco Supper Club (a social-impact driven restaurant in Singapore). Through her work, Shen empowers and supports agri-food innovators, tackles pressing food issues, and advocates for tech innovations in a better food future. Becoming famous at the age of 14, the work load and crowds in front of her classroom definitely stopped her from going to school full time. When she was at her peak time of her career, she made the biggest decision to go to somewhere else that no one knows her and have a simple student life. Fast forward, she completed her college degree in California. Life took a toll on Angela when she went through depression and an eating disorder. She went back to Taiwan to heal and work part time for her family. Her family situation was not ideal for me for her mental health. Deep down knowing moving out of the environment will speed up her healing process. She picked a place that has more work opportunities which is New York. Angela used to be insecure about who she was when she moved to the United States because she wasn't American enough but after she gave herself a chance to be her true self, life was better for her. Rajee Aerie was born in India and contracted polio at a young age. Fortunately, she was adopted by a loving American family. Growing up she never let anything get in her way and this can do attitude has stuck with her. As a teen she started to notice that there was no one that looked like her in TV shows, movies or when she was flipping through magazines. The lack of South Asians and disability representation in media is an issue that is very important for Rajee and something she’s been working hard to change. Rajee went to college and got her degree in broadcast journalism in hopes of being part of the change to include South Asians and people with disabilities. After she graduated from college, Rajee signed with a talent agency and landed a nationwide commercial a couple weeks later. The response was overwhelming because people across the country could finally relate to somebody that they saw on TV. Rajee has continued to appear in print and television commercials as well as represent various companies at trade shows and events. Her biggest accomplishments thus far has been to appear in a national campaign for Aerie in which she was featured on a billboard in Times Square and her op-ed in Teen Vogue, as well as USA Today and she did an interview for CBS national news. Jen Kwok is a Chinese-American writer and comedian. Armed with a velvety voice and razor-sharp wit, Jen combines music, comedy and improv to create a refreshing spin on daily life. Jen’s work has been featured by The New York Times, PBS, ComedyCentral, BuzzFeed, and Rolling Stone Magazine. Most recently, Jen can been seen on Netflix’s Friends From College. A versatile live performer, Jen was a national finalist in NBC's Stand-Up for Diversity and has appeared at such venues as: The Kennedy Center, Joe’s Pub, Caveat, WNYC’s Greene Space, Highline Ballroom, Le Poisson Rouge, Ars Nova, Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (UCBT), The People’s Improv Theatre (PIT), and more. She has also performed and hosted events everywhere from colleges across the country (featured at NACA Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and South), to fundraising and corporate events for Asian-American Women’s Giving Circle, American Cancer Society, TimeWarner, and Ogilvy & Mather. An active member of the Asian-American performing community, Jen has hosted Kollaboration NY & DC, as well as curated and co-hosted the Asian-American Writer’s Workshop’s Mouth to Mouth series. Jen's most recent live music project, Songs for One, is a unique, intimate experience where she performs concerts for one single person at a time. Since 2014 they have addressed over 500,000 periods and registered over 300 campus chapters. In 2017, Nadya ran for office in Cambridge, MA. While she did not win, her campaign team made historic waves in mobilizing young people on the ground and at polls. Nadya recently published her debut book, Period Power: A Manifesto for the Menstrual Movement with publisher Simon & Schuster, which made the Kirkus Reviews list for Best Young Adult Nonfiction of 2018. Most recently, Nadya has become the Chief Brand Officer of JUV Consulting, a Generation Z marketing agency based in NYC.
