Show Notes
This week Gene Hopkins and Russell Lantier join us for an episode of Back Trails to talk about the pioneers of modern bowhunting. By the late 1800's, bowhunting was almost completely a thing of the past. There were a few men that kept the flame alive and were able to pass along the knowledge that was almost forgotten. Along the way pioneers like Will and Maurice Thompson, Ishsi, Will Compton, F.S. Barnes, Art Young, Saxton Pope, Glenn St.Charles, and Fred Bear led by example and paved the way for those of us that have come to love the simple art of traditional bowhunting.
