Save Room Reviews is back! This week we watched Paul "Won't Stop" Anderson's latest cinematic video game adaptation, Monster Hunter, so you didn't have to.
This is easily the strangest MonHun adaption we could've gotten, but credit to Paul--it kinda works. It's equal parts action movies, horror movie, and a buddy movie and we surprisingly didn't hate it. It even may be Paul's best movie since Event Horizon.
If you're hoping for a sweeping gallery of monsters and lush environments--you'll be disappointed. But if you're willing to tap into Paul's mind for the 1 hour 44 minute run time--you'll get Tony Jaa hunting a Deviljovovich; Ron Perlmann with the most monstrous side burns; and Palicos with abs. Sound enticing? Well then sharpen your switch axe--it's time to jump into this Monster Hunter World.
