Questions to ask your "advisor" to see if they are just a sales agent: 1) Do you have a series 65 or 66 license? The good news is, it is possible inside of a product called the Fixed Indexed Annuity. The bad news is, there are a lot of insurance sales people who are pushing annuities as the only wise investment, and they have no business OR license to be discussing "investments".
