Puerto Rico Weather: 02-22-2026
Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Puerto Rico Weather Podcast — it's Sunday, February 22nd. Folks, we're waking up to 72 degrees under clear skies, but the island's playing favorites today. The south is cranking up the heat while the west stays calm and San Juan gets a late-day splash. Metro San Juan starts sunny, but keep an eye on the clock. Between 6 P.M. And 8 P.M., isolated showers roll through. You'll hit 83 degrees right around noon. Winds gust to 15 miles an hour by 11 A.M., so lock down those patio chairs. Now head south and it's a different beast. Temperatures soar to 90 degrees by 1 P.M. — that's full-on summer territory. Scattered showers show up from 3 P.M. To 5 P.M., peaking around 40 percent at 3 P.M. Gusts hit 15 miles an hour midmorning. It's hot, humid. And a little moody down there. Over in the west, you're getting the calm side of the story. Highs reach 87 degrees around 1 P.M. No rain, just steady east winds at 6 miles an hour. If you're planning outdoor time, this is your zone. Monday brings scattered showers islandwide. By Wednesday, thunderstorms fire up in the west as a frontal boundary settles in. That unsettled pattern sticks around through Friday. Saturday finally dries out, but breezy east winds hang on. Beach heads-up: moderate rip current risk today along north and east-facing beaches. Wednesday brings a long-period swell with life-threatening conditions. Stay sharp if you're near the water. Sunrise at 6:49 A.M., sunset at 6:29 P.M. — we're gaining daylight. Air quality is excellent, perfect for getting outside. Quick favor — if this forecast helped you plan your day, share it with a friend who could use the heads-up. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
Puerto Rico Weather: 02-21-2026
Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Puerto Rico Weather Podcast. It's Saturday, February 17th. Folks, the island is running two completely different programs today. The south is cranking the thermostat to 90 degrees. Meanwhile, the west is eyeing some rain clouds like they owe it money. Here's the deal. Down in Metro San Juan, you're waking up to 83 degrees. Easterly winds between 8 and 16 miles an hour keep things breezy. There's a slight chance of a passing shower, but nothing to cancel your plans over. Tonight stays toasty. Lows hang in the upper 70s. Now head south and it's a different beast. 90 degrees under mostly sunny skies. That's the kind of heat where your steering wheel becomes a weapon. Light easterly breezes between 5 and 15 miles an hour barely take the edge off. Overnight only dips to the mid 70s. Over in the west, things get interesting. You'll hit 86 degrees, but about half the region could see real showers. Winds stay light and variable. If you're heading to Rincón, you'll want to keep an eye on the sky. Sunrise hit at 6:32 this morning. Sunset comes at 5:20. We're gaining nearly 3 minutes of daylight, and honestly, I'll take every second. Air quality sits moderate, so sensitive groups might feel it. And that waxing crescent moon tonight? Only 26 percent lit. Perfect for stargazing if the clouds cooperate. Here's your heads up for the week ahead. Scattered showers stick around through Monday, especially out west. Temperatures hold steady. Mid 80s across the north, flirting with 90 in the south. By midweek, drier air sneaks in, but the humidity? She's not going anywhere. Classic February in Puerto Rico. One more thing. If this forecast helped you plan your Saturday, share it with a friend. It really does help us grow. Stay safe out there. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
