#56. Money is the Great Amplifier
There are many people out there who think that money is not only the root of all evil, but that it is a taboo topic that should not be discussed. Particularly in medical education. But today I am going to call B.S. on this idea. Money is a great amplifier in our lives, but we need to understand a few important points to use it this way. Today I am going to share a couple of important views on money that will change your life. So, join me today and learn why every doctor should be madly in love with money, why that's not a bad thing, and how to create more of it. Are you a physician looking to get coaching of your own? #55. The Therapeutic Index of Physician Thought Work
In medicine we talk about the therapeutic index or therapeutic window for the drugs we prescribe. Every medication has both a potential benefit and potential risk. The therapeutic index describes the safety of the drug. The goal, of course, is to find the therapeutic window of a drug where we maximize efficacy while limiting side effects. In this podcast, I dive into the therapeutic window of coaching (yes, one exists). Because it is important to understand how coaching tools can be used to create great change or can be used to inflict pain on yourself. I want to talk about how to avoid the later and use these tools correctly. Are you a physician looking to get coaching of your own? #54. Vaccines, Shaming, and American Individualism
Today I am going to take an unapologetic look into the current state of this country when it comes to vaccines, shaming, and American individualism. This episode I'm going to get real about this pandemic, what I think one of the major problems is that uniquely sets America up to be ravaged by this disease, and how we can fix it. Spoiler, I do not think this is the patient's fault. I do not think this is the fault of those that are not vaccinated. Listen to today's episode to learn how we can come together to truly end this pandemic.

#53. The Key to Physician Work-Life Balance
Did you know that you have the power to create more time in your life? Time that allows you the work-life balance you are desperately seeking. Physicians often think there isn't enough time in the day to get everything done (and this thought often is a key thought that leads to burn out). But today I am going to show you exactly how you can create more hours in your day so that you can have the life you want. Just a reminder that this is the last time for the year that the Alpha Coaching Experience is open for enrollment. So, if you want to learn how to master your money and your mindset so that you can finally practice medicine on your terms, make sure to check it out. Enrollment closes on Wednesday September 1st (9/1/21). Click here to learn more about ACE.

#52. Self Coaching Through Physician Mom (or Dad) Guilt
Mom (and Dad) guilt is a real thing that many parents experience. Inside of the Alpha Coaching Experience, we often coach physicians through this struggle of not feeling like a good spouse or parent because they are working so much in medicine. The feeling is often that you are being forced to choose between medicine and your family. Understanding how to self-coach through situations and feelings like this is ultimately what can change not only how you feel, but the choices you are making. You have more control over every situation than you think. Listen to today's episode and I will teach you exactly why you have control and how to use it. And don't forget that this week only we are offering a FREE LIVE masterclass called "How Doctors Can Stop Feeling Trapped in Medicine: 3 Tools to Help Physicians Finally Practice Medicine on Their Terms". Pick a day that works best for you at thephysicianphilosopher.com/masterclass now.

#51. Coaching versus Therapy for Doctors
One of the most common questions that I get asked about physician coaching is, "How is coaching different from therapy?" And this is one of the most important questions to answer for doctors who feel trapped in medicine because Trapped Physicians often feel burned out and they want help but aren't sure what help to get. Today on the Physician Philosopher's Podcast I will explain the difference so you can decide exactly what you need right now to help stop feeling trapped in medicine. If you still want to learn more about coaching and what it can do for you, I encourage you to sign up for a FREE LIVE masterclass called "How Doctors Can Stop Feeling Trapped in Medicine: 3 Tools to Help Physicians Finally Practice Medicine on Their Terms." #50. Is Coaching the Cure to Physician Burnout and Moral Injury?
So many doctors and physicians would agree that the medical system is broken. The system has been built to accommodate so much paperwork and those that hold the money and doctors are at the mercy of it all. While I agree there are a lot of things that need to be fixed about the system, I have also seen first hand how doctors can overcome these systematic problems in medicine. Coaching just might be the cure doctors have been searching for. The answer you have been looking for. Listen to today's episode to find out if you can finally cure your burnout. #49. Knowing Your Self-Worth as a Spouse, Parent, & Physician
The number one thing people talk about when approaching death is the idea that they wish they had been unapologetic about who they are and what they wanted in life. So often as physicians we seek the validation of others rather than unapologetically seeking our own validation. The current system of medicine doesn't help either. This system quickly turns doctors into external validation junkies. Our entire self-worth can become attached to who and what other people think about us as physicians. But what if you knew your self-worth and made decisions from what is most important to you? This idea (and how you get there) is what we are going to dive into on today's episode. P.S.Make sure to join the waitlist for the Alpha Coaching Experience so that you'll be the first to know when it opens back up! Click here to join → www.thephysicianphilosopher.com/waitlist

#48. The Achievement Treadmill (The Contentment of Enough)
People often talk about the hamster wheel of life or, what I call, the achievement treadmill. Why do physicians run on the achievement treadmill even once they have achieved success? What does it mean to be content or to have enough? There is a beautiful place in life where we operate not out of anxiety. On today's episode we are going to talk about the art of having enough. Hang on, because it might just change your life. Interested in coaching? Make sure to join the waitlist for the Alpha Coaching Experience so that you'll be the first to know when it opens back up! #47. Cell Phone Buffering and Physician Families: Lessons from Napolean
When you find yourself reaching for your phone when you are off the clock to check your email. Or drinking not because you are enjoying that IPA, but because you are avoiding something. Or when you begin to think about all the people that need you to respond to their text within minutes, you might be buffering. Buffering is very common in our culture today, but it isn't a way to live life that will help us feel like the person, parent, and physician we want to be. Listen to today's episode to learn what Napolean taught us years ago and might just help you uncover the real reason you are buffering today. Inside the Alpha Coaching Experience (ACE) we help physicians realize actions they are taking that are holding them back from whatever it is they want in life. Learn more at thephysicianphilosopher.com/waitlist.

#46. Physician Lawsuit Fear: How to Beat It
With 30-40% of physicians being sued on average, this is a topic that needs to be discussed in terms of how we can help doctors mentally and emotionally handle the fear of a lawsuit. If you have ever been in this situation or if you are living in fear that you someday will be, this episode is for you. Join me today as I walk you through how you can beat the fear of a lawsuit so that this one idea that maybe has happened to you, or the fear that it may happen in the future, not impact how you practice medicine and live life. This is a topic we coach on a lot inside the Alpha Coaching Experience (ACE) so that physicians don't have to be stuck in fear. If you are interested in learning more about ACE you can do that at thephysicianphilosopher.com/waitlist.

#45. The Importance of White Space on the Calendar
Most of us have this thought wired into our brains that we have to work hard all the time or we are not going to be successful or enough. But what if the answer to being both successful and enough wasn't found is how much time we spend on work. What if the answer actually was found in taking time away from work? In today's episode of The Physician Philosopher, we dive into the idea that when your to-do list is piling up and you aren't exactly sure what the next step ought to be, maybe it is time for you to step back and take a break. Learning how to do this isn't always easy. That's what we can help with inside ACE. Join us when the next enrollment opens by signing up for the interest list of the Alpha Coaching Experience at https://thephysicianphilosopher.com/waitlist

#44. Be The Hero (Not the Victim) in Medicine
Ultimately, you have two choices when faced with circumstances that we see as unfair or unjust. You can choose to be miserable or you can choose to take control of the situation. You have the power to choose your response, what you do in those tough situations. In today's episode learn how you can take the power back during any situation. Big or small. Listen today to find out. And if you want to learn how to always harness the power you have to enjoy medicine again, get on the interest list for our next enrollment of the Alpha Coaching Experience at https://thephysicianphilosopher.com/waitlist

And find out the number one thing you can always control to determine what your next step might be on your journey.

#42. How To Fall Back in Love With Medicine
In coaching we spend time diving into what thoughts you are having and how these are driving those feelings. Why? Because your feelings determine everything you do in life. When you construct thoughts that create negative feelings you limit yourself. In today's episode you will learn the secret to falling back in love with medicine and how your mindset can lead you to the balanced life you are looking for. #40. Common Money Mindset Mistakes Physicians Make
The purpose of money is to be able to live your life however you want. However, some people build narratives about money that force them to keep working instead of enjoying their life. These narratives can greatly impact our ability to make great financial decisions, and today we're going to discuss the common mistakes I see other physicians make. Make sure to sign up for the 3 Pillars to Physician Freedom Masterclass where you can learn to take a deeper dive into how Physicians can practice because they want to and not because they have to. #39. Is Death the Greatest Teacher for Trapped Physicians?
If the world ended tomorrow, would you be able to look back and feel happy that you worked extra shifts instead of being with family? If you're not careful, you can easily go through life in auto-pilot working as hard as possible, but never making time for what is important. You can get clarity on what is important in your life by focusing on death, and asking: What do I want to be written on my tombstone? Make sure to sign up for the 3 Pillars to Physician Freedom Masterclass where you can learn to take a deeper dive into how Physicians can practice because they want to and not because they have to. #38. How This Physician Quit Their Job
Many doctors know that they need to make a change, but they just don't feel like they can afford to make the tough decision. What if you already had everything you needed to make that tough decision? #37. How To Start Before You're Ready (Getting "Unstuck")
People reach out all the time asking me to weigh in on whether they should change jobs, should they start an online business, or even wanting to know if they should invest or pay down debt. The truth is, most people feel that when making a major decision that there is always a right and a wrong decision. However, the true "wrong" choice is letting a decision keep you from taking action. The best way to get unstuck, I've found is through coaching. If you need help getting out of your own way, then the Alpha Coaching Experience will be opening soon. Sign up for the waitlist to make sure you get the chance to register at thephysicianphilosopher.com/waitlist.

#36. Working More Shifts is NOT the Answer to Financial Freedom
Why do you want financial independence so quickly? Many doctors think that by working extra shifts or by seeing more patients they will get to their financial freedom sooner. But working more does not mean working smart. We can't place our happiness in a future that may never arrive, and to do that we need to slow down. If you're ready to learn about how you can find financial freedom, I'll be hosting a live (and sales pitch free) Financial Freedom Bootcamp on May 10th & 11th. If you want to join, sign up at www.thephysicianphilosopher.com/bootcamp

#35. What Legacy are we leaving for The Next Generation of Physicians?
Based on your current experience in the medical field, would you want your kids or future kids going into medicine? Just because we had to go through hardship in our career path doesn't mean the next generation has to. It's time we started thinking about the impact we're leaving for the future generations of medical practitioners. The key to leaving a positive impact for future generations is by empowering the doctors today to have the financial freedom they need to practice medicine however they want. If you're ready to learn about how you can find that financial freedom, I'll be hosting a free Financial Freedom Bootcamp on May 10th & 11th. If you want to join, sign up at www.thephysicianphilosopher.com/bootcamp

#34. The Physician Should Come First (Not the Patient)
As doctors the mantra, 'the patient comes first,' is a belief instilled in all of us to make sure the patient is given the best care. Unfortunately, this mentality keeps hospitals from taking care of another important group of people: physicians. I'm here to tell you that this way of thinking is backward and if we take care of doctors first, then everyone benefits.

#33. Being an Entrepreneur is the Secret Sauce to Physician Freedom
If you're a doctor who feels like a cog in the wheel, or just a number on a clipboard, then maybe you need to break out to practice medicine on your terms. Unfortunately, you may be saddled with debt or can't give up your salary and maintain your lifestyle. Not to worry. There is a way out of this trap. Today I'm here to tell you why every single physician can benefit from non-clinical income create the freedom they need to practice medicine however they want (if they want). P.s. check out our newly redesigned site→ www.thephysicianphilosopher.com

#32. Do You Feel Trapped, Stuck, or Burned Out in Medicine? Then Let's Fix It.
Just because medicine has done things a certain way does not mean that this is the way it has to be. If you're like me, and am tired of apologizing for pointing out the broken parts of our medical system, then I want to assure you that you're not alone. I refuse to accept that medicine has to continue pushing doctors into burnout or even to suicide, and I want you to join me to find a new way of thinking to change the status quo.

#31. Part 2 - Mastering Your Money (Physicians Who Feel Stuck/Trapped)
Last week, we talked about how your mindset is key to master before you obtain the work/life balance you deserve. Now it's time to talk about how money, the second pillar, is the fuel for the other pillars and how this helps drive you to your goals. Whether you're just graduating or have been working for many years, this episode will help you shift how you look at money and possibly whether you consider becoming an entrepreneur along the way.

#30. Part 1 - 3 Pillars of Freedom for Physicians Who Feel Stuck/Trapped
I know too many doctors that feel like they work themselves to burnout to get to where they are, but are still bound to forces outside their control. If this sentiment resonates with you, then fear not! In this 2-part episode, I'm going to explain my 3 pillars to freedom and the process you need to complete them to find your Work-Life Balance.

#29. I Drive a F***ing Corolla with Dr. Lil Surprenant
I talk a lot on this show about becoming a coach, and try to provide as much advice as possible to get you in the right mindset and give you the proper tools to succeed. However, it can be just as helpful hearing about someone else's experience to help realize your dreams are possible. That's why I have a special guest on today's episode. Dr. Lil Surprenant is a fantastic coach from the Alpha Coaching Experience and is here to share her experience shifting from working as a full time hospitalist to working as a coach.

#28. Why Physician Entrepreneurs Work Less & Earn More
The more work you do, the more money you earn, right? That's how we're taught to think, and also why a lot of doctors work themselves into burn out. Flipping this script is also why physician entrepreneurs find freedom. The thing is, money and time are not intrinsically linked. Being productive doesn't always mean earning more money and there are so many ways to increase your income while working fewer hours. If you're ready to take control back with your time and your schedule, then it's time to figure out how to work smarter not harder.

#27. Getting Clear on Your "Why"
There is always one more task business owners can try and get done in a day, but this one task always becomes a never ending to-do list. The truth is, if you're always focusing on the "What" of your business, you'll never get caught up on that list. That's why shifting your focus from your "What" to your "Why" can help you make time for the important things in your life, like family. Today, I share some of the struggles I've experienced with the Arrival Fallacy in my business, and always say "Hell Yes" to my family.

#26. Why doctors Benefit from Professional Coaching
Does this sound familiar to you? You finish your medical training thinking your burnout and overwhelm will disappear once you are an attending physician and have a salary. It rarely works out that way does it? When we hit burnout, many of us start asking what are our options to leave medicine. With so many possibilities, it can be overwhelming to figure out where to start, or who to get advice from. By the end of this episode, you'll learn how business and life coaching can help busy physicians, and then you'll know you're next steps, too. If you are a physician looking to find work-life balance and freedom as a partner, parent, and physician; or you are looking to build financial freedom through a non-clinical physician side gig, make sure to check out the Alpha Coaching Experience at https://thephysicianphilosopher.com/alpha . Spring Enrollment ends 2/22 at midnight!

#25. 5 Keys to Financial Freedom through Physician Side Gigs
Financial freedom can be obtained by saving enough to retire, producing enough income to support your lifestyle, or a hybrid of both. Only 4 years out I'm financially free from medicine, and practice medicine now because I want to and not because I have to. For some people though, this financial independence may seem forever out of reach. We all want the autonomy to do what makes us happy in our lives, but for many doctors they may be tied to financial restrictions that take the joy out of their work. If you resonate with what I just said, then maybe it's time to create a non-clinical source of income, and I'm not talking about "jobby" (Job+Hobby). Today I break down my top 5 keys to help you create non-clinical income, and start earning your financial freedom, too. If you are interested in coaching on how to start your Online Physician Side Gig, the Alpha Coaching Experience is officially on sale from 2/13 until 2/22. Included is 12 weeks of both life coaching and business coaching. Whether you are a busy doctor looking to deal with burnout and overwhelm or building the online business of your dreams, you can enroll at https://thephysicianphilosopher.com/alpha . Spring Enrollment ends 2/22 at midnight!

#24. Quid Pro Quo & Disappointing Relationships
Quite often, we get mad at others for reasons that are out of their control. In our minds the problem is that they didn't meet our expectations. However, the source of the frustration isn't the reality of things happening or not. It's actually that reality doesn't match up with our expectations. This can cause unhealthy relationships both at work and with your family. Today we are going to discuss how harmful conditional love sets you up for disappointment with your co-workers and family. Instead, I want you to choose to love unconditionally and appreciate the people in your life. Also, if you want to learn more about how to control your feelings in and outside of your job, I am hosting a webinar titled Physician Burnout: 3 Essential Concepts to Finding Freedom on 4 upcoming dates starting February 16. Seats are limited to sign up now! If you can't make it we will send you the replay. Sign up today: https://thephysicianphilosopher.com/Webinar

#23. How to have a Healthy Money Mindset
Our past experiences with money may have determined what we think about money now but doesn't need to impact how we think about it later. As someone who is fascinated by the psychology of money, I can understand why many doctors I talk to have a scarcity mindset when it comes to money. However, I also know that this mindset negatively impacts income and causes people to continue working more and as they try to grow their income. If you feel like you can't earn any more money, I'm going to help you break out of this negative mindset. Let's talk about two of the most common limiting beliefs I see doctors have about making money and get you to think about the abundance of your value. Also, I am hosting a webinar titled Physician Burnout: 3 Essential Concepts to Finding Freedom on 4 upcoming dates starting February 16. Seats are limited to sign up now! #22. 4 Reasons to Stop Apologizing Every Time You Say No
It's Nice to know that Wilt Chamberlain and I have at least one thing in common: we both got over our need to please people. I used to feel responsible for other people's feelings. It's taken so long for me to realize being authentic to who I am means saying no, no matter how disappointed someone else is. That's why I want to share with you these 4 reasons you should stop being a people pleaser so that you can live your life. It's not possible for us to please everyone all the time, so why do we say yes to everything, even when deep down we don't want to? #21. Choose Curiosity Over Shame
"Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become. No single instance will transform your beliefs, but as the votes build up, so does the evidence of your identity." Our human brains are so interesting. So when it comes to our routines, it's easy to fall back into them after wanting to enact change. You work on making intentional choices. You may even make a resolution. You try not to give into your urges but then… BAM! All that good work seems to go to waste. Here's the thing, though… your efforts aren't wasted at all. Choose to be curious about the decision to fall back rather than shame yourself. Choose to treat yourself with the same dignity and respect you would for someone else. Learn how not to beat yourself up. Here are a few pieces of information that could be a deal maker for creating sustainable change when it comes to habit formation. #20. Building a Hell Yes Policy
When you say yes to one thing, you're saying no to another. Are you making the right decision when choosing between the two? [emoji shrug goes here] Life as a doctor can constantly feel busy. You've got not only your work caring for patients, but you've got family, you've got side interests, your businesses, and a long to-do list for pretty much every hat you wear. I unapologetically sympathize with you. That's why the Hell Yes Policy means what it means for me to pass along to you. This concept has helped me get through some tough times. Let it help you get through too. You don't have to wait to join The Alpha Coaching Experience. Signup here: https://thephysicianphilosopher.com/waitlist

#19. New Year, New You - Building/Breaking Habits
What if you make 2021 a year where you actually accomplish your goals and stick to a new you? That'd be nice, right? Turns out you really can but… queue drum roll... there is a systemic approach to doing it. When it comes to habit formation, I always like talking about the concepts of System 1 and System 2 from Amos Tversky and Daniel Khaneman. You can read more about this in Khaneman's book, which details their work called Thinking, Fast and Slow. The fundamentals include assessment, interpretation, and intentionality. At least that's how I talk about it in this show. Through personal experiences, I share how my habits have brought me to a place of unexamined opportunity. I'm not perfect but I was able to rewire my brain. I give you several practical tips for you to do the same. Sign up > > One of my greatest joys is helping you, coaching you, and supporting you. So, I'm constantly looking for ways to do that including in my email. Join and subscribe here: https://thephysicianphilosopher.com/every-episode

#18. Faith, Beliefs, and Coaching
My faith was the reason for getting into coaching in the first place. But admitting my religious beliefs publicly usually does two things-- brings people closer or pushes them away. This episode is about having conversations with people who are different from us. It's about removing the stigma, it's about meeting people where they are, and it's about loving our differences while we help each other be better people. Getting o'vr our differences in faith and belief helps us show up for others (and ourselves) in a way that doesn't discriminate. When we remove the judgmental lenses we're sometimes nurtured to have, we impact more, love fruitfully, and, at the end of the day, are better human beings. Are you currently facing your own mirror while meeting others where they are? Please let me know. I'd love to read your thoughts. Email me at [email protected]

#17. How to Deal with Haters
Online trolls. Gotta love them. Or, hate them. Whatever. As a blogger, I've experienced a lot of online hate. One post in particular brought some haters out into the light, but as someone who really cares a lot about the things they were chastising me on, it really hurt. I have a newfound appreciation for criticism and I want to share it with you as you get into the online space. If you're doing something worthwhile and you're piquing enough interest that someone talks about you in a negative light, the best way to get around it is to … learn how to deal with it. I've got a few solutions for you to follow. TL;DL (too long; didn't listen) = Haters gonna hate. Don't feed the trolls. #16. YOLO versus FIRE
"At the end of the road, we'll all be happy." That's the mindset I'm falling into these days and I think it's helped my wife and I find that pursuing FIRE is worthwhile. But, that's not the case for a lot of doctors. The reality of our roles as physicians is that finality is ever-present. We see it in the emergency room. We see it with deceased family members. We even see it with our goals. Since everything in our lives is driven by our feelings, we might be getting in our own way to financial independence. There is a very reasonable road that you can save enough for tomorrow and have enough today. Listen as I dig into what this means. Who knows, maybe you'll do some soul searching while you're at it. This podcast is only a fraction of what I have going on at The Physician Philosopher. If you haven't yet, check out the blog at www.thephysicianphilosopher.com. Have a question for the show? #15. Changing Jobs: 3 Tools to Help With the Decision
There's a fundamental thought that our brain is powerful. When we have few facts and have perceptions without them, we tend to create stories that, in effect, hurt us. Get your thought work done and start creating new ones that serve you best. But, this takes very intentional work in mind and in body. I share a few things in this show on how to do the tough thought work so that you can change your circumstances, especially while changing jobs. Instead of hearing just me on the show, I'd love to share some space with you. Do you have a question for me that I can answer on the podcast? Please let me know by leaving a voicemail here: https://thephysicianphilosopher.com/tpp-podcast/

#14. Stop Trading Time for Money by Building Non-Clinical Income
Maybe you feel like you can help people beyond medicine. Maybe you have a creative outlet you've yet to dive into. Maybe you just want more freedom! You can always make more money but you can't always have more time-- whether that be with your jobby or your side hustle. What it took me a long time to understand, I help you realize now about how not to trade money for time by building non-clinical income. Starting with the end in sight first and working yourself backwards is one of the best attempts you can make to improve your life. Are you ready to get your time back and create space in your life for freedom? Please say, yes! You deserve this kind of life. Good friends and fellow physicians, Drs. Leti and Kenji of Semi-Retired MD are opening their Zero to Freedom Through Cashflowing Rentals online course in December. #13. The Doctrine of Charity
Perhaps you're one of many who find themselves over-analyzing the stories you create by not having all the facts. It happens. It happens to the best of us. How do you get around that our brains are powerful story tellers? The Doctrine of Charity is something I've taught to my students and practice myself. See how it can help you. Do you have a question? Can I feature it and my response on air? Go here and record it: https://thephysicianphilosopher.com/tpp-podcast/ I can't wait to support you!

#12. Finding a Way Out
For those that are burned out, morally injured, or otherwise overwhelmed - the answer seems to be to leave medicine, go part-time, and create non-clinical income streams. Why? Because we think those changes will make us happy. Or content. Or satisfied. Or fulfilled. BUT… If we don't figure out why we are unhappy FIRST, and we change our circumstances, then we have a VERY HIGH chance of being unhappy after we make the change. Have a topic in mind for a future show? We'd love to hear it! Go to https://thephysicianphilosopher.com/tpp-podcast/

#11. The Fear of Failure
When you fail, the easiest thing to do would be to give up. It's too hard to keep going. It's too hard to face reality. It's too hard to pick up and pivot. But, is it really? Failure is a natural thing. It teaches us lessons that we otherwise would take for granted. This episode helps you acknowledge the importance of flipping the script on failure when it counts the most. If you have questions about coaching or about something you heard in a past episode, I'd love to hear from you and answer it on a future show. #10. It Is All Your Fault
Truth bomb... The feelings you have about work isn't up to your spouse, your boss, the C-suite, or anyone else. Those feelings are 100% on you. So, if you're overwhelmed and burned out right now, maybe you should ask yourself this: why is that? In this episode, I share one of the biggest misguided fails of doctors when it comes to the way we think about our circumstances, the past, and how we react to both. Don't miss this one. Fall enrollment for The Alpha Group Coaching Experience ends tonight, 11/2, at midnight! Don't miss out on the opportunity to tap into your best life. #09. Everything is Coachable
There's an interesting dynamic happening in the physician coaching space and it leans more towards women -- which is a great thing. As a dude, I think there is so much to gain as a man who finds a coach and values it. Dr. Junaid Niazi helps me explain why it's important for men, among women, to get out of the burnout, shed the locus of control, face the side effects of a broken healthcare system, and expose themselves to the type of life they can have residing in their dreams. Join us as we address how everything is (and has always been) coachable. The fall launch for the Alpha Group Coaching Experience is closing soon (11/2), be sure to secure your spot here: https://www.thephysicianphilosopher.com/alpha

#08. Take the Edge off Without Alcohol
Buffers like alcohol reduce your ability to show up the way you want to with your family, at the hospital, and in life in general. It often takes mind work to avoid reaching for your favorite drink but what does that really look like and why? In this episode, I talk about a personal experience of choosing and then NOT choosing alcohol because of specific life events and the mental systems that help support/enable healthy change. Do you need help thinking through how to take the edge off without the use of buffers? I'd love to work with you. By now, you've heard of the Alpha Group Group Coaching Experience. #07. How to Stop Feeling Overwhelmed
Keeping up with the pace of life, work, and family sometimes means getting our priorities a little jumbled. We multitask to try to get everything in and everyone paid attention to. What we're actually doing is creating a dynamic of overwhelm. Let's stop for a moment and reflect on what we can do to make our lives better and our minds focused on what really matters. In this episode, I mentioned A Priori Planning and how it's helped me streamline my life and my energy. If you want to learn more about that OR are ready to take the next step with coaching, get on the waitlist for The Alpha Coaching Group Experience here: thephysicianphilosopher.com/alpha-waitlist
