Ep 272The Paranoid Squirrel ep 779

Ep 271The Paranoid Squirrel ep 778
EShock! Horror! I have a feeling that no factual errors were made on this episode. Feel free to prove me wrong. It’s a Christmas feel that kicks things off this week before I go to the late 70’s for some Powerpop before playing some new up-to-date material. A Charity single gets aired, a couple of covers are played but aren’t part of “Covers Corner”. Tom from the Phobics phones in for this month’s gripping and informative “Tom’s Phobic Foibles” posing a competition, all to the soundtrack courtesy of; Rich Ragany and The Digressions, The White Cats, The Softies, Starjets, Radio Days, Michael Monroe, Generation X, Idolizers, Pillbox, Sugar Lady, Malakas, Ratso, Ronnie Spector, Helltrain and The Phobics.

Ep 270The Paranoid Squirrel ep 777
EOn this week’s show I apologise for “Bartongate”, still maintain misheard lyrics are correct, discover missing musical files, admit to snubbing a band first time around, believe a song finished another radio show when it didn’t but it should, wonder if you’ve tested positive for Covid 19 would you still need to self Isolate for two weeks if you were going to Dignitas, all to the music of; Jello Biafra, Sex Pistols, Silent Like A Bomb, Dead Hombres, Grand Theft Audio, The Sino Hearts, Ebola Babies, The Beatles, The Ramones, King of Sweden, The Hellacopters, Denis Pauna, Frank Meyer and Billie Joe Armstrong.
Ep 269The Paranoid Squirrel ep 776
EWhere to I start with this week’s cock ups? Well to be fair there was only one, quite a big one as the wrong Ident was aired for “Compare and Contrast”. I didn’t realise until later on and then proceeded to blame Producer Barton Stacey, who I made cry. Fortunately, due to Convid restrictions (He was shut in the Conservatory so he didn’t have to come into the studio) you can’t hear his wailing, but I certainly could see him gesticulating. I also go old school by taping something off the radio; I bore you with my attempt at being a musician, unearthing 20 year old demos. All set to the wonderful music provided by; Billy Karloff, The Ruts, The Eddies, CJ Wildheart, Dead Furies, Shark Island, Silent Like A Bomb, Charlie Benante, Alice Cooper, Die Toten Hosen, The Media, Vice Squad, Fly High Michelle and Scene Killers.

Ep 268The Paranoid Squirrel ep 775
EOn this week’s show I remember how great two songs from two different bands sound played together live, fawn over a couple of albums that have Damned connections, finally get to play a track from a delayed album, big up a new Vinyl only Record Label, almost claim misrepresentation until I read the small(ish) print, mention an on-line auction with the money raised going to Save Our Venues, award “Band Name of the Week/Month” and coo over a Powerpop recommendation all to the music of; The Michael Monroe Band, The Sensible Gray Cells, Professor and the Madman, Thee Acid Tongue, Midnight Evils, Lemmy, Warrior Soul, Chris Catalyst, Duncan Reid and the Big Heads, C.O.F.F.I.N., LA Guns, Hilly Michaels and AC/DC.

Ep 267The Paranoid Squirrel ep 774
EOn this Morning’s hot diggity Breakfast Show I talked to Tom Crossley of The Phobics spinning some associated tunes like; The Clash, The Phobics, Rolling Stones, Cockney Rebel, New York Dolls, Bad Karma Beckons, Helltrain, The Phobics (again) and Tanz Der Youth.

Ep 266The Paranoid Squirrel ep 773
EIt’s time for some more Mouth engagement before Brain activity in another scintillating episode of The Paranoid Squirrel Rock Show. Over the course of the hour amongst some curtailed ramblings, I will forget headlining bands, musically almost mix two bands up and announce a new Segmentation, wonder which Motörhead song to play from the Deluxe Edition of “Ace of Spades” and remember Brian James played with J J Burnell all to the music of; The Nerves, Dead Furies, Wig Wam, Black Spiders, The OBGMs, The Spits, The Dahmers, Anti Fashion, Bitch Queens, Delilah’s 77, Rich Ragany, The Dowling Poole, Motörhead, JJ Burnel and TV Smith.
Ep 265The Paranoid Squirrel ep 772
EAnother week, another episode where I let my mouth runaway with itself as I broach the subject of Christmas as my Nephew hasn’t got back to me over what to get his Stepson, Denmark Street, bands having the exact same name, interconnected cover versions, The BBC props department using a Cold and Flu remedy in Blake’s 7, the US Elections, Rock Against Racism, making my High School Music Teacher cry and quit her job all to the soundtrack of; Foxy, Spizzenergi, The Phobics, The WitchDoktors, The Dogs, Grande Royale, Ian Hunter, Die Toten Hosen, Mick Rossi, Adolescents, Art Bergmann ft Wayne Kramer, The Ruts, The 69 Cats, Paul Harvey & the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.

Ep 264The Paranoid Squirrel ep 771
EOn this week’s episode I apologise for miss timing things last week as for those of you who tuned in live didn’t hear much of the last song as I ran out of time and shamefully, I did the same this week. I discover I have a MixCloud Account that I hadn’t uploaded shows to for 7 years. Panic, as I seemly always do, over a limited 7” featuring Johnny Thunders and Steve Jones. Lay into the Suits who run Streaming Platforms, drunkenly volunteer to review an album and give my two penneth worth over the original Damned getting back together. All to the soundtrack of; The Beatles, The Adverts, Redd Kross, The Automatics, The Middlenight Men, Stiff Richards, Muck & the Mires, Muscle Car, The Fuzztones, The Dirty Strangers, The Spencer Davis Group, Continental Lovers, The Sinclairs, The Damned and the Chuck Norris Experiment.

Ep 263The Paranoid Squirrel ep 770
EOn this week’s Show I wonder why Rat Scabies never played in the studio with Johnny Thunders, then marvel at Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Phil Lynott who actually did, almost come to tears on discovering that you don’t need to purchase CDs or mp3s anymore, get on board with a KickStarter Project, ‘fess up that an interview I conducted didn’t record and book tickets for a gig next month to the joyous sounds of; Hawkwind, Larry Wallis, Johnny Thunders, The Dirty Strangers, Sonny Vincent, The DeRellas, Gilby Clarke, The Boys, Johnny Casino, Cheap Trick, Lemmy, ft Rat Scabies, Dr Feelgood, The Last Great Dreamers and The Damned.

Ep 262The Paranoid Squirrel ep 769
EWhilst eating my Porridge and Blueberries, I talk about band members avoiding death, more classic “Live” LPs, vinyl records not having download codes, my new Portable Digital Music Player aka “The Brick”, the search for a Motörhead Zip up Hoodie, Remastered albums, the Andy Peebles Lennon interview I had on Cassette, a 5” split single, bigging up other Radio shows and Podcasts and reforming my 1987 Hardcore Band all to the music of; The Small Faces, The Hip Priests, AC/DC, Motörhead, Tuk Smith and the Restless Hearts, The Doors, John Lennon, Bee Bee Sea, The Chuck Norris Experiment, Warrior Soul, Howling Mad, The Replacements and The Lemon Twigs.
Ep 261The Paranoid Squirrel ep 768
EComing up on today’s show you will hear another hours worth of musical shenanigans that will include; The Damned, UK Subs, Ramones, Borracho, The Members, Neon Animal, The Speedways, Moons of Saturn, Spaghetti & Frank, William Shatner, Miley Cyrus, Van Halen and The Medicine Dolls.

Ep 260The Paranoid Squirrel ep 767
EOn this Episode you will hear me totally fluff up the Maonocaster Side Chain functionality, get my mic level wrong coming out of it, blame my Producer, Barton Stacey, who gives as good as he gets, scratch my head over a perceived album title, review a live album only to play the studio equivalent, go on a virtual spending spree, cut “Covers Corner” in half as I change my mind over a track to play all to the music of; I Love You, One Thousand Motels, The Wildhearts, Mickey Leigh’s Mutated Music, The Rolling Stones, Blue Oyster Cult, The Carvels NYC, Bob Mould, Thurston Moore, The Professionals, The Resistors, Pixies and The Shadows.

Ep 259The Paranoid Squirrel ep 766
EThe Paranoid Squirrel Sunday Morning Breakfast Show made a one off reappearance today as there were far too many good and great tunes to squeeze into Friday’s Rock Show. So over the course of another hour you will hear; Hawkwind, The Flaming Sideburns, Frankie and the Studs, Kilfeather, Minefield, Diamond Head, John Lennon, The Boys, Rich Ragany, Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets, Eight Rounds Rapid, The Lurkers and Dave Davies, Rat Scabies & Knox.
