Some of your favourite films have been rewritten by the Pentagon, the US Defence Department and the CIA. This isn't a conspiracy theory: as research by Bath University's Matthew Alford underlines, thousands of films and TV shows have received support from the US national security state over the last century in exchange for rewrites to eliminate criticisms of- or give glowing support to - the US military and US foreign policy goals.
