As the night train hammers the tracks toward Nairobi, Sam hunts for the sorcery's source. Meave tries to control the flames, while Lillian tests her mettle and training on top of the train.

Alex receives and important message about a meeting at the Temple of Michael which requires their immediate presence. As the night grows long, a spark is lit on a fuse which they cannot quench.

In the final leg of their journey on the Orient Express, Richard grows concerned about Maggie's connection to the pieces and tries to sever them. Maggie makes a choice to protect her future by getting some fresh air.

Speeding along the tracks, the Investigator's train is bewitched by fiery forms and a most unsettling reality - something otherworldly has picked up their scent here in Africa - and it is here to end them.

Monika and Annalise drive back to the house in the territory after receiving a disturbing message. Rahm is tasked with a terrible order. Marcus' phone brings ill tidings, while the power center of San Francisco tips on its axis again.

While Lady Elisabeth works to recover from her grievous wounds, Mr. Fraser works to negotiate a path for the group to be able to leave Sofia after the lockdown. The group gathers at the hotel for a final meal.

In the final act of our Hideous Heart, the truth is revealed for all to see, as our investigators locate a masquerade ball where the heart and eye may be. What terrors await them?
