Wow! I guess I am truly becoming the proverbial “Grumpy Old Man!” Earlier today at a four way stop…I get to the stop at the same time as another vehicle. I am going straight through…I THOUGHT they were, too, as there was no directional signal used. I started through as they started to turn into my space. No accident, but I did yell through an open window that I was NOT a freakin’ mind reader and that they should use a directional signal when making turns! Did they hear me? No idea! But I sure felt better. Suddenly…no one in my area remembers how to use their directional signals! It had been way better for a long while; but lately! In case YOU forgot. The directional signal on your car is used to communicate with other drivers. It is that little stick on the lefthand side of the steering wheel. Lift the stick up it tells the surrounding traffic that you plan to move to the right. Push the stick down, and it then communicates your intent to move to the left. Communication through sight signals is important since we are all not psychically connected! Wow! We went from no rain for DAYS to yesterday’s mini typhoon! When I left the house to go get groceries, it was just a light drizzle. By the time I reached the grocery store the storm was so intense, I almost couldn’t see through the rain…and NO UMBRELLA in the car. I waited 20 minutes for the deluge to subside. It didn’t…so I drove home. Once home; immediately the rain ended, so back to the store I went!
