Michele Frank
Episode 63 Michele Frank 19 Year-Old Michele Frank vanished in the early morning hours of October 1st, 1984 after leaving her job in St. Louis, MO. Days later, her body was found a couple miles away. She had been raped and strangled. Her car was also found with it's brake lines cut. Michele's family was devastated by her senseless murder which remains unsolved today. Michele's sister Debbi who was only 11 when Michele was murdered took up her Sister's case as an adult, and was disheartened to get no response from the police. LeRyan Nicholson
Episode 62 LeRyan Nicholson Eighteen year old LeRyan Nicholson went missing in Nashville, TN in April, 1998. After being told incorrectly that LeRyan was found and was safe at home, police called off the search for him. Unfortunately, that wasn't actually the case and LeRyan was still missing. The day after LeRyan was last seen, a body found wrapped up and set on fire was found in Nashville. It took years of searching by LeRyan's family before they learned that the body found the day after LeRyan went missing was actually his. Incredibly, LeRyan's sister Candace, using the NAMUS database, actually made the connection that solved part of the mystery. Karen Marchioni
Episode 61 Karen Marchioni In October, 2001, just two days after celebrating her 41st Birthday at a party with family and friends, Karen Marchioni was brutally attacked inside her Framingham,MA home. Karen managed to barricade herself inside of her bathroom and called 911. She was rushed to the hospital, but she soon died from her injuries before she could give police any details. As a result, her killer, or killers slipped away. Despite a suspect being publicly named, there has yet to be an arrest in Karen's case. Karen's teenage Daughter Jennifer, who was only 14 at the time of Karen's murder, was left to face the rest of her life without her mom. She discusses what the loss of her mother was like, and her frustration with police in the years since Karen's murder. Episode 60 Janette Roberson Janette Roberson, a 27 year old wife & mother to two children, was brutally murdered in the basement of the Reed City, MI department store she worked in January 19th, 1983. Janette's bizarre murder shocked her small town, and despite the attack happening in the middle of the day with fellow employees and customers in the store, no one saw a thing, and the case remains unsolved to this day. Barbara Nantais
Episode 59 Barbara Nantais In August, 1978, 15 year old Barbara Nantais was murdered in San Diego at Torrey Pines State Beach as she slept in her sleeping bag on the beach. The attack on her was brutal and sadistic. Barbara's 17 year old boyfriend James Alt was also attacked and barely survived. He was left to cope with four decades of PTSD. Meanwhile, a second murder on that same beach in 1984 of 14 year old Claire Hough displayed nearly identical clues, pointing to a possible serial killer. Two suspects were developed in that case via DNA, but both suspects died before either could face justice, and police to this point have not been able to connect both murders via physical evidence. Just over a week later, a person walking their dog along a nearby creek discovered human remains, a single leg. Roger Atkison
Episode 33 Roger Atkison Roger Atkison was brutally murdered alongside his mistress, Rose Burkert, in an Iowa hotel room in 1980. Investigators examining the bloody crime scene determined that the pair was most likely killed with a hatchet.
