This is Episode 139 and our guest is Nathan Mongol Wells. Wells is a singer and songwriter from Dallas, Texas, who is best known as the frontman for his band Ottoman Turks. He now has a solo debut record called From a Dark Corner, which will be released on August 18, 2023. The record - which is produced by John Pedigo and friend of The Marinade and Ottoman Turk Joshua Ray Walker - takes more of a country turn than the two Ottoman Turks records, and I am here for all of it. We caught up with Nathan via Zoom last week for a conversation about the origin of Ottoman Turks, navigating life's crossroads, the intricacies of his wonderful new album, and much more.
