This week on the pod Dave and Jeff discuss The Green Knight, writer/director David Lowery's (A Ghost Story, Pete's Dragon, Ain't Them Bodies Saints) epic, fantastical retelling (and reinterpretation) of the 14th century chivalric romance poem about the half nephew of King Arthur- yes, THAT King Arthur- who is heir to the throne despite being an entitled f*boy. While stunning and intoxicating, this movie can be gddamn confusing, so Dave and Jeff walk you through some elements without spoiling much. As for the cast, Dev Patel is extraordinary as our protagonist, Sir Gawain, with a supporting cast that also features Alicia Vikander, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Joel Edgerton, Sarita Choudhury and Erin Kellyman.
