On Rotten Tomatoes this movie has a 56% critics score and 86% audience score, which makes us mad. This is the first Conjuring movie not directed by James Wan, which features a human(ish) antagonist, but still packed with lots of spirits and supernatural hell we love in the Conjuring/Annabelle/Nun films. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are back as Ed and Lorraine Warren working a real life case that gained national recognition in 1981 and a popular book in 1983. Think about what Helter Skelter would have been like if Charles Manson had the ability to curse families and summon daemons.... Yeah, I spell 'daemons' with an "ae". I read The Golden Compass and thought it was cool. Directed by Michael Chaves.
