Show Notes

On this week’s episode, Dave, John and Jeff discuss two monumental achievements in film from the year 2013, before redeeming a critical and commercial misfire from the same year. We begin by discussing whether The Wolf of Wall Street glorifies the destructive lifestyle of Leonardo DiCaprio’s real life antihero Jordan Belfort. We then discuss Spike Jonze’s Her, starring Joaquin Phoenix, to see how well the pacing and tone of the film’s futuristic love story hold up. We conclude with little known darling film Odd Thomas, starring Anton Yelchin (RIP) and Willem Dafoe: was it really that bad?
