Ep 2323: God has an Amazing Plan for every man. Plus more tips on the supercharge round with M.C.
God has an amazing plan for every man on the planet. Whether you are a single man, married, dad, retired or divorced. Key insight and wisdom discussed on the the Men Unplugged podcast as Jeff Jerina asks his guest, Mike Chrasta tough questions about his own life experiences. Jeff asks Mike how he came up with the material (4 truths about every man). We truly are in a crisis right now when it comes to a serious cultural problem in our families, country, etc. Mike shares his personal salvation story. He states that he had come to the end of himself. Realizing that he was angry, confused, he did not have support from his own father. In that confusion he found the Lord Jesus Christ. This is true for a lot of men. Mike states that he yielded to God Almighty. He made a decision to give up control of his life and allow God to control it. Jeff asks Mike to share his worst moment and what he learned from it. Mike shares that overall when you can come to the place where you can realize your darkest most despairing time that God's hand is there to help you and wants you to thrive that this will spur you on. That God does not love you conditionally. God loves you unconditionally. Jeff shares that when he finally understood God's grace he was able to see that God loves him and all of us unconditionally. Jeff shares that he felt like an ugly duckling before then. Jeff asks Mike to share a time when he doubted he could make it as whatever. Mike shares that it was when he first got married, he had no good model for a righteous or courageous man that he could follow. He realized he knew nothing about raising children and love. He asked the Lord to give him wisdom on how to raise children. The Lord gave him wisdom to raise and train his children. His children all love the Lord and Mike has a great relationship with each one of his three children. Jeff mentioned that God is our Abba Father. God has grace for each man. The Lord has it for everyone. Mike shares his biggest obstacle that held him back. Mike states that it was his own beliefs about himself. How his influences gave him beliefs about himself that were not true. How these influences in our lives cause us to have broken and unhealthy thoughts and beliefs about ourselves. We need to completely shatter these beliefs and allow the Lord Jesus Christ to put the pieces back together and make us whole. Hallelujah we are all broken because the Lord can make us all right. God has made each man specifically for a purpose. Jeff and Mike have a good laugh as Jeff makes a joke about himself. Mike realized that all of his solutions in life had failed. He had to turn to the Lord Jesus Christ. When Mike came out high school with all of these accolades he had a distorted view of who he was and the choices he made were wrong. Mike shares a story from his college years. Mike thought after he graduated with an undergraduate degree he said he would never go to school. After he placed his faith in Christ the first thing the Lord told him was to go back to school. He went back to school three times and finally received a PhD. God has an amazing plan for every man on the planet (husband, father, single man). Jeff reminds the Men Unplugged listeners part of what we are doing here on Men Unplugged. Help you find and live your true purpose. Jeff says, it's not enough to find your purpose you have to live it. He's got the plan - it's wonderful. Mike shares one of his blindspots. Mike says it's when he goes into fighting mode in his response and he is working on that with the Lord on this issue. He was not aware of how strong this was. Now that the Lord exposed it. Jeff shares one of his blindspots is being impatient. The good news is that when you can talk about your blindspots or weaknesses when another man you can start to be free. Jeff and Mike have some good laughs talking about how they joke around with each other when planning events and activities for the dad's community they co-lead. Jeff asks what's the best advice Mike has ever received. Mike shares that it was from a friend who told him that all you need to do with your children is to love them. Meaning that all that God has for your child will be revealed and our love for our children is like water on a plant. If we just water them with the love of God, everything we desire and God desires for each of our children will be released. It will blossom someday. Just love your children. Love them unconditionally. Who is MIke's biggest critic. Point here is a man without critics and without opposition is a man that isn't doing what he should be doing. Because when you start to act for the truth, when you start to do what is right no matter what people say you're going to get opposition and unfair criticism. Even from Christians. Our job is to love them but not comprise. The United States of America was built by men who were not comprisers. It was built by individuals who were God-fearing, bold, courageous Christians. Jeff notes this remind

Ep 2222: Four Truths about Every Man with Dr. Mike Chrasta
Jeff Jerina interviews a close personal friend and co-ministry leader, Dr. Mike Chrasta on the Men Unplugged show. Jeff and Mike discuss the four truths of every man and how to experience true freedom. There are many things that God calls us to do. The most important thing as a man is to know his true design, his true calling. When a man finds his true calling he is a dangerous man. Dangerous in a good sense. Every man has 4 things that define who he is. A quick discussion on how Mike and Jeff found their true purpose in life. A quick talk about Mike's book, Make it a Place of Springs which you can get through the MenUnplugged.net website here. Jeff noted that for him it took taking different tests, spiritual gifts testing asking others and a lot of prayer. To get Jeff's book, Ten Steps to Power and Purpose that gives you simple, practical steps to discover and live your true calling in life go to MenUnplugged.net. Men have a role in creating a vibrant culture in Christian education. Try to follow wholeheartedly what God is leading you to do. There are many things that God calls us to do. The most important thing as a man is to know his true design, his true calling. When a man finds his true calling he is a dangerous man. Dangerous in a good sense. Psalm 84:6-7 why this Scripture is so important to Mike Chrasta. God tends to send us to hard, dark and dry places. Wherever we go because we carry the presence of the Lord with us, we transform those places into life giving places of springs. Mike suggests there is no better image than what we are called to do as men. Jeff notes this reminds him of Psalm 23. With the presence of the Lord the psalmist has no fear. The same for us as men today. A lot of times the Lord sends us to places that we would not normally go. He wants us to go through those places to bring light to them. To make them better. The place of Baca is a place of weeping a dry valley. As we pass through those places, the Lord in us and through us. Every time we pass through those places they are transformed. By doing that we are transformed as well. The most dangerous human on the plane is a free man. A free man is comfortable in his own skin. He is not afraid of anybody or any circumstance because his faith in the Lord. He leads his family because he receives his orders from the Lord. He is emotionally, socially, intellectually and spiritually equipped to pursue his dream. The one secret that most men (Christian men or non-believers) are unaware of is that no man can be truly set free unless he is set free from the Lord, Jesus Christ. Let's be honest, how many men like this really exist. Reason being, we have seen the biggest decline in what manhood really is in the last six decades. One of the biggest contributors to this is the leftist social experiment to an attack on authority. Just follow the publications of books and movies since then. The book Iron John was a book to address this in the secular culture. A talk about the movie, A Rebel Without a Cause. How this movie depicts a man as someone who is weak. The good news is that men can be healed. The first step is to get in touch with the 4 truths of every man. God comes in and heals us. First truth: Every man has a limitation of some kind. Most men will never play professional sports, hold political office or command a naval submarine. Even those men have limitations. We have these limitations that we have learned from our family, culture, society, etc. Some of these limitations we can change. Knowing and accepting these limitations is essential to a man maturing. Often times we put limitations on ourselves. Self-acceptance is the foundational virtue for a man to becoming free. Second truth: Every man has a form of brokenness in some area of his life. Our brokenness does not makes us bad. It is simply reality. The problem is when a man denies that brokenness. Some men think that Being grounded in reality makes a man a true leader. Romans 8:1-2. Great point here. Jeff says, it takes a lot courage to tell another man your strongholds, your failures, your blindspots, etc. Third truth: Every man has a bent in some sin area. Some are passive others are controlling, some men struggle with pornography, greed, etc. We are to courageously drag that sin into the light, acknowledge it, agree with the Lord about it so we can free from it. Regardless if it is something small or a spiritual stronghold. Fourth Truth: Every man has a blind spot. Those closest to us see it, but we do not. We form judgments and acquisitions. We don't see the full picture. Our point of view is skewed. Here's a quick and easy test to find out your blindspots. Ask the three people you know best on three things you need go remove or improve on. Here's the good news. No man can get well apart from a real relationship with the Lord Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit to get a hold of us and transform us. Every one of these truths is countered by something the Lord does or give

Ep 1919: Factual evidence and answers to defend your faith with apologist Bodie Hodge
An amazing discussion and training session for defending your faith (apologetics) with Jeff Jerina's guest Bodie Hodge of Answers in Genesis a partner of Men Unplugged. Topics mentioned in this podcast, evangelism, defending your faith, apologetics, apologetics for teens, apologetics for kids, evolution, Noah's Ark, Big Bang theory, ark of the covenant, dinosaurs, Jonah and the whale, the resurrection of Jesus Christ, divine creation. Factual evidence that a believer can share with a skeptic. Jeff notes something that he shares with others in his evangelism training and upcoming book that you need to learn how to share your faith before you can defend it and how evangelism and apologetics work together. Jeff says one of the best things to do is to ask non-believers why they think a certain way. By doing this, you will be able to understand and navigate more clearly what that person believes. A lot of times, a person's worldview is based on the viewpoints of their parents or others who have influenced them throughout their life. Bodie Hodge former mechanical engineer now works at Answers in Genesis. Jeff asks Bodie how he went from engineering to being a Christian apologist. Jeff asks Bodie to share why he is so passionate about apologetics. The Great Dinosaur Mystery Solved by Ken Hamm Grea resource for men and kids. You can get that copy here at a special price through the Men Unplugged partner affiliate link. Get all of Answers in Genesis books from the Men Unplugged resources page. Another great tool for answering these questions from Genesis is the Strand Study Bible which you can get here only at MenUnplugged.net The key is the interpretation of the evidence. Soft tissue in dinosaur bones good evidence of divine creation. Bishop Bell's tomb at Carlisle Cathedral in northern England. Bishop Bell is actually buried in the church. Skeptics a lot of times want to mock what we believe as Christians. What is the significance of believing in creation versus evolution. Bodie says if there was a big bang theory there would be no right and wrong. Jeff asks what evidence is there to support young earth creationism versus other theories. Bodie says have a proper understanding of the evidence. So often we are told the secular interpretation of it and just accept it. Look at rock layers from a flood. When we look at the evidence everything makes sense that the earth is young. Coal, oil, fossil formation, canyons, stalagmites, etc. Tower of Babel - historical and archeological evidence on it. Can trace these people groups all around the world. A chat about Noah, his sons and his grandsons. Bodie Hodge says that when people started to buy in a evolutionary worldview racism started to explode. Jeff talks about Genesis 11, Genesis 1:26 and Genesis 1:1 using the Hebrew word Elohim the composite unity word for God. Showing the Triune Godhead. How using these verses are a good tool to share the Gospel to someone of another faith. Great resource for every Christian being published this year.
