Aren't you tired of all the robocalls? All the phone calls that claimed to be from IRS, student loan forgiveness, and especially those about the extended car warranty? In 2021, there are 59.4 million Americans have lost money to scam callers and lost a total amount of roughly $29.8 billion! Naturally, Jay The Producer also got the scam call claiming to be from Student Loan Forgiveness Program and the Extended Car Warranty Program (even though he did not own a car!) So much that he got frustrated and he called up Kitboga, an American Twitch streamer, and YouTuber whose content primarily focuses on scam baiting against scams conducted over the phone, and arguably one of the real-life superheroes, and invited him onto the podcast to talk about his origin story, the type of scam that's out there, how he bait the scammer into spending more time with him!In one of the scambaiting stories, he even has an on-again and off-again relationship with "President Joe Biden"! What do people normally do when they were 12 years old? Over the years, I have interviewed hundreds of guests that came on to promote their books or promote their self-help habits. It's really sad that Gilbert Gottfried, a great American stand-up comedian and actor, has recently passed away battling a long-time illness. I remember the first time meeting him, and talking to him on the podcast, I can feel his passion and love for comedy, and how he never gives up doing it!This is a re-release of the episode that I recorded with Gilbert where we talked about his passion for comedy, and how you can never please everybody in the world!-----------------------------------------------------Gilbert Gottfried started doing stand-up comedy when he was 15 years old. He dropped out of high school and within 10 years he was on Saturday Night Live. And he built his career up from there. But he's also been the center of a lot of controversies. People get upset at comedians for "going too far." But Gilbert does it for a reason... He said, "I remember, I did this show that was a tribute to Joan Rivers. It was right after there was that shooting at a gay nightclub. I started doing jokes about the shooting and the audience was laughing all the way through and you know, Joan Rivers has a large gay audience. One guy tweeted me and he said, 'I never thought that I'd wake up crying and go to sleep laughing.'" It's easy to misunderstand people. And get upset. Whenever I'm made, I say to myself, "This means I'm not understanding something." So then I move that anger into curiosity. I kept asking Gilbert about his jokes. And we walked me through the humor. This episode will make you laugh and maybe uncomfortable but I promise the laughter makes it all worth it.
