On a deployment in Afghanistan in 2013, Nick’s detachment experienced an insider attack that resulted in the loss of his leg. Today’s guest is a writer, tactical advisor, and retired U.S. Army Ranger. Jariko Denman enlisted in the United States Army in 1997. Shortly after, he began the selection process for the 75th Ranger Regiment and was assigned to the 2nd Ranger Battalion. Vincent “Rocco” Vargas is a special operations combat veteran, former Homeland Security Federal Agent, actor, writer, and producer. During his 12 years of service, Vincent went on three combat deployments with the 2nd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. After leaving active duty, he joined the Army Reserves as Sergeant First Class. In 2009, he became a Federal Agent with the Department of Homeland Security, where he worked extensively on the United States-Mexico border, serving as a medic with the Special Operations Group.
