Show Notes

Brain health is important, but not talked about a whole lot. In this episode, I speak with Doug, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over 21 years of experience in a wide range of settings serving diverse needs. He has a mixed bag with respect to his practice ranging from clinical nutrition to writing for the public, patients and other health professionals, program development, private practice, and has had a variety of experience in media including TV, radio, and print.

Doug is known for not being satisfied with toeing the party line nor blindly following conventional wisdom. He likes to challenge himself by looking deeper into long-standing orthodoxy, considering other points of view even if unpopular, and to challenge the assumptions of the professional in order to know for himself and to provide a more balanced view.

He is the co-author of The Complete Leaky Gut Health & Diet Book (Robert Rose 2015) and 175 Best Superfood Blender Recipes (Robert Rose, 2017). Learn more by checking out his website www.dougcookrd.com.
