I see people get frustrated in their careers because they're putting in the work & it seems like nothing is happening yet. Really, they're just heating up & approaching that boiling point. Water boils at 212° so when you think of throwing in the towel, realize you may be at 210° or 211° ... keep grinding!

Urgency creates momentum & in the words of John Maxwell, "Momentum will solve 80% of your problems." Realize that a "We'll get it next week" attitude fosters a losing mentality. Get after it today!

Someone recently DM'd me asking how to hold others accountable without being controlling. In the same way that people get an accountability partner for the gym, your job as a leader is to shine a light on what their goals are and what actions they did or didn't take towards acheiving them.

The NFL Draft just wrapped last weekend and from my own time on the football field, to the input from some of the biggest names in football, if there's one trait I'm drafting, it's work ethic. 6th round draft picks will pass up 1st round picks in a heart beat if they're the hardest working person on the team.

Im privileged to have coached all types of people in business over the years, but the ones who I absolutely love to coach have certain characteristics. People who execute even the smallest details without needing reminders. People that make themselves available. People with discipline. People that show gratitude. These are just some of the traits that make a player stand out as coachable.

Are you a Game Manager or a Game Changer? People that change the game literally set out to do things that have never been done before, or if nothing else, in a way those things haven't been done before. It's not neccesarily about skillset either, but it definitely starts with mindset. Be a game changer!

When problems arise & a "fire" breaks out, are you carrying buckets of water or buckets of gasoline? True leaders rush to put fires out. Your team culture needs to be about handling the issue in front of you and working to eliminate it. Captains lift their team, cancers destroy it.

Multiplying your business starts with mindset & vision followed by attracting top tier talent & duplicating leaders. Your mindset leads to your vision, your vision is what will attract talent & championship talent duplicates itself into other players.

I recently saw a post from Cristiano Ronaldo talking about what it takes to go pro. Im not a huge soccer fan, but Im a huge fan of greatness & these things apply to any area of life where you're "trying to go pro"

Coaches look for consistent players that can deliver week in and week out over a player who puts up an MVP performance in a big game but brings mediocre results in the surrounding games. Greatness is achieved through consisitency and avoiding complacency.
