Real Christ-Like Masculinity

Our Lord Jesus Christ wasn’t wild at heart. He wasn’t a macho man. He wasn’t a metrosexual, milque-toasty, or escaping and absent. The X-Men Worldview

This program reviews some of the history of recent box office favorites like X-men and Deadpool. Should Christians be watching these movies? And what about Gospel albums that include profanity and blasphemies? Cultural offerings like this force us to discern between good and evil according to the mind of God, and the law of God as revealed in Scripture. Are Christians considering these things? Muslims and Feminists Don't Get Along

The public schools have more woes than we can count on this edition of the program. Muslim male students don’t have to shake hands with female teachers any more in Swiss public schools. Also, a 4-year-old was kicked out of a Colorado preschool for refusing to participate in pro-homosexual ideologies. Meanwhile, San Francisco junior high schools are allowing kids to opt out of a full week of homosexuality indoctrination. But, will they allow Christians to preach the Gospel in the public schools? That’s what we want to know. We also offer a solution to the knotty problem of multiculturalism that cannot be solved by sheer government will power. . . eliminate the public schools altogether.New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com

Raising a Modern-Day Knight:

Guest host Adam McManus interviews U.S. Army Lt. Col. Kevin Bouren, an avid listener of Generations Radio, who organized a Manhood Celebration for his 13-year-old son Brady last December. Based upon 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 which says, “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.”, Kevin invited 21 Christian men to come in from 9 states to share their Biblical counsel, write a letter, and give a symbolic gift about manhood which Brady will treasure for years to come. Kevin’s thinking about how to raise a boy into a God-honoring Christian man, qualified to be an elder according to 1 Timothy and Titus, was profoundly influenced by three key books. 1. A Father’s Reward: Raising Your Children to Walk in the Truth by Phil Downer. 2. Raising a Modern-Day Knight: A Father’s Role in Guiding His Son to Authentic Manhood by Robert Lewis. 3. Stepping Up: A Call to Courageous Manhood by Dennis Rainey. In fact, Kevin strongly recommends the 10-week Stepping Up Video series which he hosted for fathers and their young sons. One author wrote, “Today’s boys rarely, if ever, learn from the adults closest to them what it means to become a man – or learn when they become one. Instead they are left to search for answers in movies, song lyrics, the often ill-informed perspectives of their peers, and the mixed, even contradictory, messages from other ‘grown-ups’ around them. I believe this leaves many boys confused, hurting, and feeling terribly incomplete.” In many cultures, there is a rite of passage for young men from the Masai Tribe in Kenya Africa at 15 to the Lakota Indians at 12 to the Jews who celebrate with their bar mitzvah at 13. But what do Christians do? The Manhood Celebration concluded with the knighting ceremony as Brady recited what a R.E.A.L. man is, as captured by Robert Lewis. A real man Rejects passivity, Expects a greater reward, Accepts responsibility and Leads courageously. Kevin blessed Brady, saying, “Brady, you are my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.” Then, he asked him 2 questions. “Brady, will you commit, from this day forward, that you will, with the Spirit’s help, love God and love others?” His son said, “I do.” “Brady, will you commit, from this day forward, that you will, with the Spirit’s help, reject passivity, expect God’s greater reward, accept responsibility and lead courageously?” His son said, “I do.” Kevin said, “By the authority God has vested in me as your father, it is my honor to dub you this day.” (placingNew kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com

Freedom or Slavery?

Multi-culturalism, relativism, and homosexuality are some of the many forms of bondage being propagated through the world's systems today. Christ came to set us free from bondage like this. However, many are willingly sacrificing themselves and their children to them through the public schools and other forms of discipleship. Who is discipling your children? Are we willing to sacrifice for the sake of our children's souls? Steve Vaughan and Bill Jack discuss these issues on this edition of the program.

Training Our Children to Expose Evil

Evil very seldom presents itself in the form of a forked tail and pitchfork; instead, it is usually wrapped in charm, nice personalities, or empty verbal professions. This is becoming especially true in today's culture. thus, it is vitally important to discern when there's danger and expose the evil behind such motives or words. How can we help our children do this? Steve Vaughan and Bill Jack address this question and discuss the importance of having our children trained by Christ and conformed to His image.

Why Most Education is a Waste

Does your daughter know the derivative of a cosine? Does she know how the pinocytic vesicle functions in the Amoeba? Does she know who Rome fought in the Punic was? Can she parse just about any Latin verb? And, does she know how to integrate knowledge into life? Most educated children have no idea how to solve problems, how to manage households, how to engage life and contribute to an economy. Men Prefer Debt-Free Virgins w/o Tattoos

Are young men looking for debt-free virgins without tattoos to marry? Or do they prefer college educated women who will work for a living and take birth control, so that the young men can keep playing video games? We look at two different articles that take a different angle at this question. Would it be better to marry a repentant prostitute who is at the feet of Christ washing His feet with her tears, over against some homeschooled girl who is a debt-free virgin without a tattoo, but unconverted? Comprehensive Sex Ed Mandate for Homeschools?

States are mandating comprehensive sex education in perversions for all charter schools and government-funded homeschool programs. When homeschooling parents take the government dollars they subject their children to these mandates. It’s time to realize that what Caesar funds, Caesar will control. About 92% of evangelical kids are still in public schools, while 9 states mandate pro-homosexual teaching for 5-18 year old kids. At what point should Christian churches excommunicate parents who willfully submit their children to transgender and homosexual indoctrination? Are there real Christian churches that are concerned about the little lambs in their congregations, and what should godly pastors do? Finally, some Christians are realizing that education is not neutral, and it is time to insist on a distinctively Christian education and discipleship for our children.New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com

Lady Gaga Better Christian Than VP Pence

Lady Gaga and Ocascio-Cortez see themselves as good Christians, better Christians than Vice President Mike Pence. What is Man? Adam, Alien, or Ape?

Where materialistic evolution most trips and falls on its face is when it confronts the origins of man and the ontology of man. What is man? How is he different from the other sentient life? How did he come to be so different? What is this sense of righteousness and morality about him? Dr. Edgar Andrews engages this topic with more thoughtfulness and down-to-earth argumentation than anything you’ve ever heard before. Richard Dawkins called Dr. Andrews a “wing nut,” but what is the more rational approach to understanding the rational mind and person of man? Why Jesus' Kingdom is More Impressive than Napoleon

While empires fall and the department heads of education are sputtering about how wonderful transgenderism would be taught in Christian schools and Sunday Schools, Christians must commit themselves to a more optimistic education for their kids. The “Brave New World” continues living out the horror of godless science, with surrogacy on the rise. Micro-aggressions Against the Victims

College campuses and most of culture is now swimming in victimhood, and the snowflakes are screaming “micro-aggression,” especially if any dare to question victim culture. This creates much dissension and disunity, a destabilization of human society. We contrast victim culture against honor culture, dignity culture, and. . . humble culture. Modern culture is soaking in pride, self-esteem, and zero fear of God. The result of course, is catastrophic. David said, “Against thee oh God, and thee only I have sinned. . .” Of course, David sinned against Bathsheba. But far more important than this. . . David sinned against God. Racism, Feminism, Social Justice

The Christian colleges, evangelical denominations, and seriously mixed-up Christian leaders ball up social justice, feminism, me-too, and race conflicts into one big confusing package. And now, Calvinists and reformed people are accused of accommodating domestic violence and opposing social justice, because they think objectively about stuff. However, these pet issues as presented usually lack clarity and definition. Those who embrace these movements and buzzwords are all wrapped up in irrational, emotion-driven commitments to who knows what, and as well they refuse to submit to God’s laws as defining right and wrong. It sounds a lot like Titus 1:5, 1 Peter 5:1, Phil. 1:1, and 1 Timothy 4:14 — ordination by the laying on of the hands of a “presbytery.” New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com

Evangelicals to Persecute Real Christians?

The National Association of Evangelicals which includes the EV Free Church, the Presbyterian Church of America, the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Vineyard, and others have endorsed a plan to include homosexuals under federal nondiscrimination laws. This move sets real Christians up for persecution, while protecting fake Christians from persecution. The motions passed by the National Association of Evangelicals and the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities were based on the Utah Compromise. The Mormons capitulated first, and then the evangelicals followed them on this one. Is it the responsibility of the civil magistrate to provide for the “needs” of homosexuals who want a wedding? That seems to be the hinge argument of the evangelicals who are pushing for “homosexual rights.” We contrast this with the biblical ethical standard for the civil magistrate and the treatment of homosexuality.New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com
