Gary concludes his interview with Jay Rudolph on the Plumb Line radio program. History is full of examples of both kings and religious leaders overstepping jurisdictional boundaries. The Bible is clear that government and politics are not the same. There are several broad categories of governments—family, church, civil—but each one is dependent upon self-governed individuals. As Robert Winthrop succinctly put it: "Men will be governed by either the Bible or the bayonet."

Gary was interviewed by Jay Rudolph on the Plumb Line radio program. Gary discussed several recent articles he wrote, as well as general worldview issues. Christians must understand that we are in a war of ideas and consequences, as Paul says in 2 Corinthians 10:3-6.

Gary responds to recent article by John Piper, which is an excerpt of his new book, Come, Lord Jesus. Pastor Piper rehearses similar arguments to those in the past trying to explain away the imminency of the coming of the Lord in Matthew 24 (and many other NT passages). Jesus meant what He said about the nearness of His coming in judgment on first-century apostate Israel.

Gary discusses a recent article about artificial intelligence and preaching by Russell Moore. The article raises many important points and Gary takes it in several different directions. AI only does what the programmer tells it to do and Christians need to learn and lead the way on using AI to promote and accurately proclaim the Gospel, rather than hiding from it in fear as an indicator of the "end times." In this excerpt from a recent Burros of Berea round table, Gary gives several examples of how Christians should do apologetics. Using what Greg Bahnsen called "pushing the antithesis" Christians must force unbelievers to own their materialistic assumptions about reality. Gary discusses several principles from his book God and Government to a class of homeschoolers. What should the Christian response be to the civil government? We are not always to obey, and we are not always to resist. The civil magistrate has a legitimate and biblically defined role. "We must obey God and not man" (Acts 5:29) must be understood in its proper context.

Gary answers a listener question about the difference between how the word "age" is understood in Matthew 13 and Matthew 24. There's a lot of talk about "free speech" these days. But is it really? Speech is not free in the sense of being without cost; it's free (at least theoretically) in the sense of being without restraint. But those who cry the loudest for "free speech" when they think their's is being restrained, are also the biggest restrictors of speech when given the opportunity.

Gary answers a listener question about resources that best represent and present the dispensational premillennial position. The listener wants to hear the best case for Dispensationalism, even though he has become increasingly convinced of postmillennialism. Gary shows how every position has a couple seemingly perfect Bible verses, but this is not how we should be reading and understanding the Bible as a whole.
