Korina from Neonhive joins us for a chat, Toys for Bob are finally free and Rockstar are forcing their devs back to the studio.
Another week, another Finger Guns Podcast! Hello again everyone, it's always a pleasure to be here though eh? Join Rossko, Kat, Josh and Miles for another bout of gaming news and nonsense from your favourite Finger Guns crew talking all about the wonders of Crash and Spyro developer Toys for Bob going independent and free from Activision at last. What are we gonna see them make next? The possibilities are endless and it's a nice bit of good news in the never-ending sadness that is the games industry these days. Still! We also talk about Rockstar forcing their employees back full time to finish up Grand Theft Auto 6, and well, let's say we have some opinions on this. And in rare but most exciting news we have an interview! This week Rossko sat down with Neonhive boss Korina Abbott to talk all about their new publishing wing and how on earth that came about, along with Neonhive as a whole and their hand in some of the biggest indie games of the last few years and Korina's history in the gaming industry. It's a cracking chat that's well worth a listen! Over at Game of the Week Josh has been tearing his way through the terrifying Outlast Trials. The Thaumaturge has kept Miles busy in the ol' review codes, Kat has jumped into Final Fantasy for the FIRST TIME EVER with...er, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth whilst Rossko has been crushing it in the ring in WWE 2K24. In recommendations Miles shares his thoughts on FFVII Rebirth, Kat talks to us about a ghost story podcast named Ghost Huns, whilst Josh takes us to the spice wars in Dune Part Two. And then there's some Taylor Swift chat, because of course there is. Hey if you like our podcast why not leave us a review?! WB Games Tank Kill The Justice League, Microsoft announce their PS5 games and Little Devil Inside is back?!
This week on The Finger Guns Podcast Rossko returns to the hosting chair - after a bit of an altercation with Josh - with Kat, Miles and the returning Yogdog all joining in to get through the weeks news as quick as possible. And boy there is a lot this week. First up we talk the disappointing sales of Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League and the factors that may have made it happen. WB Games are not happy with how well it's done and we try and break down the reasons why (reason one - WB Games). We also talk the possibility of PSVR 2 becoming compatible on PC's to allow users to play PC VR games. We talk to Josh about this one and it opens an interesting discussion regarding ballooning budgets in games which may have lead to this decision. Well, that and PlayStation are not supporting the device well enough. We also head back to the Nintendo Director Showcase to work through our highlights and follow that up with the four games Microsoft are bringing to PlayStation in the next few months - namely Grounded, Pentiment, Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush. Oh, and we also get into the brand new DLC trailer for Elden Ring. PHEW! And in Game of the Week Josh has been playing a hell of a lot more of Helldivers II, Kat played a ton of Detroit: Become Human, Miles has been spreading democracy with Helldivers but also checking out the almighty Terminator Dark Fate Defiance, Yogdog has been playing his favourite game of all time in Battle Brothers whilst Rossko has been getting his PC gaming on in Minecraft?! Hey if you like our podcast why not leave us a review?! You can do it on Apple where you can also spread the love and on Spotify with their star ratings. Are Xbox are sharing their games whilst PlayStation don't have any this year? Also, no Nintendo Switch 2 till 2025?
Hello everyone, it's me again, the harbinger of podcast nightmares to once again tell you about this week's episode of the Finger Guns Podcast - but you can call me Josh. This week the gang are back! Discussing the cryptic business lingo Phil Spencer talked at minimal length about the future of Xbox, during their special podcast. Shorter than my solo one last week, just saying Phil. Moreover, Nintendo Switch 2's launch has been pushed into 2025, along with no major first-party PlayStation releases for this year! How will we all cope? Probably by cleaning up our backlogs that have been tutting at us in the corners of our gaming library for 2 years. We see the return of Miles' wonderfully whacky picture quiz, the perfect formula for an audio platform. Am I the winner? Silly question, I'm always the winner. Games of the Week include the brilliantly understated puzzle adventure Röki, of course, Helldivers 2, Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered and Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. All that, as well as some purr-fect recommendations and more on this week's Finger Guns Podcast! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Is this the first AAAA? What is going on over at Xbox? Where has everyone gone?!
Hi there, everyone. I know it must be weird to see Rossko's name not on the publishing for this. Instead, you have me! Josh, taking over for hosting duties whilst the gang go on a well-deserved holiday. In this episode of the Finger Guns Podcast, I hog all of the games of the week, because it's MY show and I'll talk about as many games that I've played as I want. I talk about the newly anticipated title from Don't Nod, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, and the recent demo for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and I update everyone on Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth.More importantly on the news side of things, Ubisoft's CEO Yves Guillemot claims that the $70 price tag for a game that features live-service elements is warranted. As the game itself is worthy of the AAAA status. What does that mean? I champion Helldivers 2 from a distance in the name of Miles as it breaks Sony's launch number records. And I thoroughly recommend not taking on a podcast by yourself, always do it with some friends it's probably much better that way. Unless you make enough fuss that this episode is awesome. Inflate my ego, please. Enjoy the latest episode of The Finger Guns Podcast.Hey if you like our podcast why not leave us a review?! Are Xbox readying a PlayStation related announcement? Also, Sony's State of Play Highlights and Suicide Squad Impressions!
This week on The Finger Guns Podcast, Rossko, Miles, Kat and Josh kick back and talk some of the weeks biggest news including the reaction to Sony's midweek State of Play and our highlights from the show along with the news that Starfield could be on its way to PlayStation along with a number of Xbox exclusives. What does this mean for PlayStation and, more importantly, Xbox going forward? We discss this wild rumour mill which seems to have been confirmed by Phil Spencer by announcing an event next week. Time will tell on this one. In Game of the Week at has taken on Ross' game of the week last week with Among Us, Miles has been sinking his teeth into Lysfanga: The Time Shift Warrior, Rossko has checked out the demo of one of this most anticipated games in Lightyear Frontier and Josh had the task of murdering the Justice League in Rocksteady's Suicide Squad. Kat recommends a car wash, clean your car you mothers. Rossko recommends the waffle sandwich and the multi purpose uses of the wonder sandwich whilst Miles has been checking out Signalis. And there's and there's another picture quiz, on this audio podcast. We don't know why, you seem to love them so let's just keep doing it eh?Hey if you like our podcast why not leave us a review?! Layoffs have rocked the industry again, Sony have announced a new State of Play and the Switch 2 gets a screen!
This week on The Finger Guns Podcast Rossko, Kat, Miles and Josh delve into the weeks news (cus that's what we do, init) and share their thoughts on Sony's upcoming State of Play and what we'd like to see along with what we're likely to see and whatnot, get serious (or attempt to) about the huge layoffs from Microsoft and the industry as a whole and how goddamn rubbish it all is and we try to get excited about the rumour that Switch 2 is going to have an 8-inch LCD screen. Yay? This then leads to conversations about launch titles which is vastly more interesting. What else? Well, Kat has been riding out her illness so there's a DBD GotW recommendation from her, Miles has been playing PSP classic Pursuit Force whilst Josh has been tearing through Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth as Rossko retreads the spaceship boards of Among Us to see where the current shape of the game. Oh, and Capcom are starting the Resident Evil remake hype train once again and we speculate on where they could go next. Will they dare Resi 5 and 6? Ethan Lawrence Returns! | Sony back in court once again | PlayStation Portal sells out worldwide
This week on The Finger Guns Podcast our good friend Ethan Lawrence returns to talk video games, Boat Story and all the weeks biggest news! Well, there isn't much, but we do our best including talking about Sony returning to court to settle whether or not they've overcharging UK PSN owners. If so, we all get money! Huzzah! We'll see what happens. Elsewhere Bloober Team have come out to say that everything is just fine with the development of Silent Hill 2 thank you very much so you can bloody stop bothering them with your ridiculous Tweets. Oh, and the PlayStation Portal has sold out worldwide and demand is high. How on earth did that happen? We talk out the success of the Remote Play system and actually learn what the hell the thing does with some surprising revelations. In Game of the Week Miles has been checking out Last Train Home, Josh has been riding through the glen with Gangs of Sherwood whilst Ethan has been thoroughly enjoying the cracking little multiplayer darling KarmaZoo. Oh, and Rossko fell asleep playing Immortals of Aveum. Greg was right. Don't tell him. The Last of Us Part II Remastered Announced | Spyro Flying Into CTR | KOTOR Remake is dead?
This week on The Finger Guns Podcast it's been a quiet news week but we've managed to scrape together the news that The Last of Us Part II is getting a remaster and coming in January with a bunch of extra fetures. Is it enough to get us to come back to that mammoth story? And is Rossko gonna buy it just so he can make music with Ellie's guitar? Probably. Elsewhere everyone's favourite dragon Spyro is coming to Crash Team Rumble! Is that enough for fangirl Kat to jump back in? Well, apparently it is and we're probably going to join her. Elsewhere Dragon's Dogma 2 has gotten a possible release date and the Knights of the Old Republic remake is apparently dead in the water. What happened? We suggest some theories. In Game of the Week Kat has been checking out the rather lovely Sonic Superstars, Miles has been checking out F.E.A.R. (can you tell they've been on the Black Friday PSN sale?), Josh has been time looping in the terrific In Stars and Time whilst Rossko has been ultimately disappointed by Dreamworks All Star Kart Racing. In our recommendations we talk Lake's lovely DLC Season's Greets which is just more Lake, but Christmas time! Wonderous. Miles recommends not playing The Kindeman Theory, Josh has been checking out Gubbins on mobile whilst Rossko has been thoroughly enjoying TV this week with the brilliant Boat Story on BBC iPlayer and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off on Netflix. The Game Awards 2023 Nominations Chat | Our Dream Grand Theft Auto 6 game | Final Modern Warfare 3 impressions
This week on a bumper Finger Guns Podcast the team (Rossko, Kat, Miles and Josh) get into The Game Awards nominations and choose their winners from each category and bemoan the lack of a certain beloved Hogwarts-based video game. There are huge numbers for Baldur's Gate 3 and Alan Wake 2 whilst the indies are probably the toughest call they've been in years. We do our best to try and choose our winners for each. Oh, and then there's the small matter of Rockstar announcing that they're revealing the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 in the first week of December to handle, so we delve into what we'd really like to see from Rockstar's latest behemoth. In Game of the Week this week we've been primarily getting absurdly bored in Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer, Rossko has been rocking the masses in this years iteration of Let's Sing, Kat has redownloaded Dead By Daylight after deleting it and Miles has checked out Dungeons 4 and the wonderfully titled Super Crazy Rhythm Castle. Say it really quickly four times. For our recommendations this week Kat is talking velvetisers for hot chocolate, cus why not. Miles concurs. He also recommends Stronghold: Definitive Edition (if you're a NERD) Josh talks the movies he's seen recently, namtely The Killer, Bottoms and Dream Scenario (Nic Cage turns up in everyone's dreams for no reason) while Rossko delved deep into the Robbie Williams documentary on Netflix with surprising results. It's a little difficult to go into detail about this podcast, purely because it's super deep in spoilerwonderment - the story, the suits, the sidequests, the characters, the easter eggs and so much more, no stone is left unturned (we're pretty sure, anyway...we went as hard as we could). Come and have a listen! Do we think it's a 10/10 (spoiler for the spoiler; no, not all of us..)? Thank you for listening!Hey if you like our podcast why not leave us a review?! This week on the FG Pod Rossko, Kat, Miles and Josh get together to talk everything about the weeks news along with a certain big release that's taken over Rossko and Yogdogs lives. In the news we talk the somewhat surprising news that Everbody's Gone to the Rapture developer The Chinese Room has taken over development on Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 after years of trouble and now aims to release the game in fall next year. Are they the right studio to bring it to life? I guess we'll soon find out. Starfield Hype Begins! | Xbox Series S Baldur's Gate 3 Missing Features | Switch Has Nearly Outsold PS2
On the enormously positive and not at all misery fuelled (and much more improved than last week...sorry about that one) Finger Guns Podcast this week...oh boy, it's nearly time to turn on our jet engines and tear it into the great unknown with Starfield just around the corner. Our hype levels are at maximum and with Yogdog jumping into early access this weekend, look out for a full analysis of the game on next weeks podcast! Still, this week still had plenty to offer including the Switch now being only 5 million sales behind PS2 to become the biggest selling console of all time and it this point it's not a case of if but when. We discuss how Nintendo pulled this one off and what it could mean for its successor. Elsewhere we talk Xbox pulling the £1 Game Pass deal off the shelves a week before Starfield and the Xbox version of Baldur's Gate 3 being sliced of features to work on Series S. Is this the beginning of the end for the budget next-gen system? We discuss. In Game of the Week Yogdog has been checking out the wonders of Homeworld 3 (we got very lucky and checked out the early press only stuffs) and Kat has been playing [REDACTED] which she's absolutely [REDACTED].Oh and she's also Platinumed the awesome DYSMANTLE in, well, you should probably listen to find out. Rossko has been checking out the super fun RPG Wrestlequest and the bloody delightful Station to Station. Opening Night Live Reactions | Microsoft Inch Closer To Acti Deal | MGS Specs Aren't Great...
This week on the Finger Guns Podcast we're all absolutely exhausted after failing to get through Gamescom's Opening Night Live without falling asleep (genuinely). Rossko, Miles, Kat, Josh, Yogdog and the returning Toby Andersen get together to talk the highlights of the show and yes, we did find some. No, genuinely! It was a good show, so long as you weren't expecting video games at a particular standard, right?Anyway, elsewhere in this thrown together podcast we get another darn quiz out of the way and it's absolute chaos as ever but somehow even worse on this one. We also talk the Metal Gear Solid framerate issues on Switch along with Ubisoft being dragged into Microsoft Acti-Blizzard acquisition in order for the CMA to finally get this ridiculously drawn out acquisition over the line at last. Who wins in this situation? Does it make Microsoft look weak? We'll be back next week with a far more cohesive and planned out episode, promise. This one may have gotten away from us a tad. A bit. A lot. Quite a lot. #1 - Helen O'Hara
Welcome to a brand new Finger Guns spin-off podcast - Pin Point! Each episode we'll talk one on one with media and entertainment professionals, whether it be from the game, film or music industry to discuss their careers, how they got started, the highs and lows of the job and their own opinions on the industry. To kick off then I'm honoured and frankly a little amazed to be joined by an author, a podcaster, a barrister and writer for Empire Magazine among others but most impressively I think, saw the original Broadway cast production of Hamilton with her own eyes, it's Helen O'Hara!Helen sits down with Rossko (over Zoom, like) to discuss the SAG-AFTRA strikes, the current state of the MCU, getting into the film journalist industry and so much more (including possibly turning for Gal Gadot if you see her in her Wonder Woman costume in the flesh...it's a genuine possibility, we've discovered). Along with Helen's favourite films, her incredible insight into film journalism as a whole and working with her team for nearly 20 years, it's a fascinating insight into the inner workings of Empire Magazine and many more, and it's well worth a listen if you're at all interested in the film journalism industry as a whole. With some shocking takes that will rock any Linkin Park fan to its very foundations, this obscene, ridiculous, hilarious (and even emotional and heartfelt) podcast is by far our biggest ever undertaking and without question our most audacious effort to date. If you're a die-hard LP fan, you're not going to want to miss this.Every single album is taken apart with a fine tooth comb and scattered across the floor, with a final list that may shock, upset or amaze you. Or you may be completely indifferent, let's see how it goes cus in the end, it doesn't really matter. We just wanted something to do? Enjoy the ep. It's going to change your life. Maybe.Donate to Sunflower of Peace to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine: http://www.sunflowerofpeace.comTheme Music – De Jongens Met de Zwarte Schoenen by RoccoW & xyce. | Edited and produced by Ross Keniston | Published by Acast.Team: @FNGRGNS / Rossko – @RosskoKeniston / Paul – @ThePaulCollett / Greg – @GregatonBomb / Josh - @jshuathompson / Sean – @Omac_Brother / Toby – @toby_andersen / Kat – @RainbowDropx / Tom - @T_Woods93 | Yogdog (Jonathan Brown) - @Yogdog | Facebook: FingerGunsUK / Twitch: twitch.tv/fingergunsdotnet / The Official Finger Guns Discord Discord: Join here! Over at Game of the Week, Kat has been fishing in the horrors of DREDGE, Miles finally had time to work his way through Final Fantasy XVI (with a lot of love from Rossko) and Josh has been tearing through the cracking SOULVARS.We also once again recommend the Biscoff McFlurry, Rossko gets hyped about the new Mission: Impossible and Miles has very much enjoyed checking out the old school wonderment of Command and Conquer Red Alert. The FTC v Xbox hearing - Reaction and Updates | Final Fantasy XVI Impressions | Google Returning to Games via YouTube?
On this weeks bumper Finger Guns Podcast Rossko is joined by Kat, Miles, Sean, Josh, Yogdog *and* Tom for a mass dissection of the weeks gaming news and playing a whole bunch of brand new games. In the news this week our main topic is the ongoing FTC v Xbox hearing, where some wild revelations are coming out regarding Xbox's business practices and just how far they were willing to go in order to bring down PlayStation, and PlayStation's brutal retaliations. If you ever wanted a console war, never fear, it's all happening behind closed doors apparently. We get into the wild reveals to see just what we think of everything, and whether or not we're actually going to see some video games from Microsoft one day whilst they're busy buying more studios to make them. It's a bizarre week for Xbox and it's only going to get more insane as they try to finally get their acquisition of Acti/Blizz over the line. Elsewhere Google could be making a comeback to the gaming space, this time via YouTube. A plan they had early on was to link to games from YouTube to immediately play and well, it looks like they're finally making good on that promise. If they market this correctly (which, let's be honest, they definitely didn't do with Stadia), could this be the future of how we consume games? It's a long shot, but we're intrigued to see what happens. Also, the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 line-up has supposedly leaked. Are our MGS megafans Miles and Josh happy with the line-up? What would they add? Apparently 'Metal Gear Survive' was not the right answer, who knew? Miles has been taking down Xenomorphs in Alien Dark Descent and Operation Polygon Storm ,Sean has been in the ring checking out AEW Fight Forever, Yogdog has been strateging it up in Strategic Command World War 1 on PC, Josh has been checking out the Open Beta of Ubisofr's xDefiant with a little help from Miles and even less help from Rossko, Kat and her beloved Crash Bandicoot are back together in the super fun Crash Team Rumble and Rossko, Tom and Sean talk about the wonders of that indie darling Final Fantasy XVI. Oh, Sean and Yogdog have also checked out the brand new Warhammer 40000 Leviathan Box.Plus the Lotus Biscoff McFlurry reviewed. My goodness. Most Anticipated Games For The Rest of The Year | RIP Xbox One | Final Fantasy XVI Spoilers Are Out There
This week on the Finger Guns Podcast in the wake of Summer Game Fest the podteam of Rossko, Kat, Miles, Josh and Yogdog all choose our most anticipated games for the rest of the year and boy, are there are metric ton of wonderful games incoming. There's even a Nintendo exclusive in there! Who would have thunk it? Elsewhere we say a fond farewell to the Xbox One after Microsoft have confirmed they are no longer making games for the system. We talk the infamous reveal show and where the system went right in the end and discuss why we all decided to go PlayStation last generation after all enjoying our Xbox 360's. It's a fun chat and a nice reminder of where Xbox were to where they are now. A heroes journey if there ever was one. Also there are Final Fantasy XVI spoilers out there so be wary if you want to go into the game completely fresh on Thursday. To manage this we talk our hype levels and once again drool over that incredible demo which sold us all on picking the game up day one. Kat kicks us off in Game of the Week with the console release of Crime Boss: Rockay City, you know that we've been playing it for a while and were looking forward to checking out the co-op, and Kat, Rossko, Josh, Miles (and even the elusive Paul Collett) jumped in to check out this updated release. Josh has been checking out the lovely Dordogne and the emotionally charged Before Your Eyes on PSVR 2, Yogdog has spent the week playing Team Fight Tactics (which is kinda in the League of Legends universe), Miles went back in time to finally play Dynasty Warriors 9 and Rossko has been budling rollercoasters in Park Beyond. Well, it's been quite the week eh? The Finger Guns Podcast returns with Rossko, Sean, Kat, Miles, Josh and Yogdog all back together to talk the weeks biggest showcases and reveal highlights. The best part of every show, the pointlessness of one of them (can you remember which one?) and everything we can't afford for the rest of the year. So many games, folks. So many games. And in Game of the Week Sean has jumped into his backlog to play Psychonauts 2, Yogdog has been absolutely storming Diablo IV, Josh has been playing Decarnation, an isometric pixel horror set in France, Kat - in between downing vodka shots in Poland - has been checking out Daydream Forgotten Sorrow., Miles has taken it upon himself to be the one to talk about the extraordinary Final Fantasy XVI demo and Rossko has been enjoying some of the weeks demos like Viewfinder and Road to Vostok.SO MANY GAMES.Donate to Sunflower of Peace to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine: http://www.sunflowerofpeace.comTheme Music – De Jongens Met de Zwarte Schoenen by RoccoW & xyce. | Edited and produced by Ross Keniston | Published by Acast.Team: @FNGRGNS / Rossko – @RosskoKeniston / Paul – @ThePaulCollett / Greg – @GregatonBomb / Josh - @jshuathompson / Sean – @Omac_Brother / Toby – @toby_andersen / Kat – @RainbowDropx / Tom - @T_Woods93 | Yogdog (Jonathan Brown) - @Yogdog | Facebook: FingerGunsUK / Twitch: twitch.tv/fingergunsdotnet / The Official Finger Guns Discord Discord: Join here! This week on The Finger Guns Podcast Sean takes the reigns as Rossko is otherwise engaged and is joined by Miles, Kat, Josh and Yogdog to talk all the games in June coming up, we look ahead to all the showcases coming up this week and get stuck into the random Final Fantasy VII Rebirth questions that have been announced this week.Plus Miles talks to us about his first 20 hours in Diablo IV, Kat has been checking out Everdream Valley and the wonderful Arcade Paradise, Josh has been checking out The Tartarus Key and Yogdog shares with the console suckers what they're missing out on as he goes all PC Master Race via Valorant. Bungie Calling the Shots At Naughty Dog | Gollum Devs Apologise | Nintendo Pull Wii Emulator Off Steam
This week on The Finger Guns Podcast Rossko, Sean and Yogdog get together to talk the weeks news and the aftermath of the PlayStation Showcase, namely where was Naughty Dog? Well, that could be Bungie's fault. We reveal all in our discussion of the state of Factions right now. Elsewhere Nintendo are shutting down fun things again as they DMCA the upcoming GameCube and WII Emulator Dolphin on Steam. A win for the war on emulation or more proof of Nintendo's lack of preservation? We also get into the terrible launch of Gollum and Daedalic's lacklustre response to the issues surrounding the game. With yet another post-launch Twitter apology to stomach from a development team, when is enough enough and are developers really slaves to their consumers? We tackle this from each side to try and work out what on earth can be done about the state of games at launch. Also, Yogdog attended an online Warhammer event and we get a huge update of everything to come from the franchise. It's a lot, you're eating well if you're a fan that's for sure. In Game of the Week Yogdog talks Strategic Command 2: World at War and Sean has been checking out the TellTale-lite Star Trek Resurgence. And guess what, Rossko has been playing Fortnite...woo. Oh, and The Muppets. And PS3's Haze. And The Die Hard Trilogy. And Wagon Wheels. And Obi-Wan Kenobi. There's a lot going on this week. Enjoy the ep! PlayStation Showcase 2023 Reaction Special
Kept ya waiting, huh? The PlayStation Showcase 2023 has been and gone and you can now join Rossko, Miles, Josh, Yogdog and Toby (for a little bit) in dissecting every single announcement from the event. There's a whole lot to get through so don't be disparaged and join us as we peel Miles off the ceiling as this basically was an event picked solely from his brain and it's rather incredible that he was even able to muster words for this podcast, let alone actually turn up. Spidey! Snake! Dragons! Dogmas! Hellriders! Loads of things! Plus all the stuff we thought was going to be there but wasn't. Enjoy the ep! It's a good laugh. Dead By Daylight Gets A Supermassive Single Player | Lord of the Rings MMO Incoming | Will We See GTA 6 Next Year?
This week on The Finger Guns Podcast it's a been a quiet week leading up to the PlayStation Showcase so Rossko, Josh and Sean get together to talk everything they could find including the news that Dead By Daylight will be receiving a single player expansion soon from Supermassive Games, the makers of Until Dawn and The Quarry. Rossko asks DBD superfan Josh if he's psyched for it, along with written in thoughts from Kat and Miles, who couldn't join the pod this week. We also talk a Lord of the Rings MMO coming from Amazon on the back of their first hit, New World. We try and decipher how they could make such a thing really rather good and hopefully we can look forward to whatever it's going to be. There's also been talk from Take Two Interactive this week that their upcoming fiscals are going to be very healthy indeed which leads to the assumption that Grand Theft Auto 6 may not be as far away as we think? We break down the numbers along with everything else they have incoming and see if GTA can find a space in a busy release schedule from the company. And of course, the aforementioned PlayStation Showacse is going to dominate the news this week so we put out heads together to see if we can figure out some of the more out there possibilities from the show and our most ridiculous theories. Could GTA 6 close the show? Will we see the fabled G-Police Remake or PlayStation All Stars Battle-Royale 2? We haven't got long to find out. Josh has been playing Undergrave (whilst tearing through Humanity), Sean and Rossko have been playing a fair bit of LEGO 2K Drive and despite the microtransactions poisoning the perfect LEGO world, it's a really good time. Rossko has also been checking out the Starship Troopers Extermination Early Access and is having a hell of a time shooting the ever living hell outta bugs with Miles, hear all about it! Are Capcom The Best in the World Right Now? | Nintendo's Next Console | Mortal Kombat Reboot Incoming?
We've got a stacked podcast this week as Rossko, Kat, Miles, Tom, Yogdog and Sean all get together to talk the weeks gaming news, have a chaotic quiz once again (but what else is new?) and celebrate the rather random moment when Rossko appeared on BBC Sounds to talk about the podcast? MAD. Anyway, in terms of gaming news this week the gang get into the wonderful world of Capcom and after their record breaking sales numbers were revealed we discuss whether or not they could lay claim to be the best publisher in the world right now. Elsewhere there's been some interesting teases in the world of Mortal Kombat with a video teasing a possible reboot / remake? What's going on here? We delve into that along with talking about what we'd like from the next Nintendo console. Well, some of us do. Some of us just continue to bitch about Mario because apparently he slept with their Mum when they were a baby or something. And of course Game of the Week returns and Tom jumps back on to tell us all about his time with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (you might have heard about it), Miles has checked out the console versions of the cracking Fights in Tight Spaces from GrounfShatter,, Kat has been playing through the Forbidden West DLC Burning Shores, Yogdog has been checking out Mechabellum, a TFT DOTA like where you play as units of mechs/tanks and blow s*** up, presumably.. Sean has checked out Wales' Interactive Mia and the Dragon Princess and Rossko has been deep in the Park Beyond Closed Beta.Donate to Sunflower of Peace to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine: http://www.sunflowerofpeace.comG-Finity's Legend of Zelda Review. Phil Spencer apologises for Redfall | The State of Xbox in 2023 | PlayStation Showcase Rumours Surface
This week on The Finger Guns Podcast Rossko, Kat, Miles, Josh and Yogdog get together once again to talk everything video games and this week it's all Xbox as the aftermath of the poor Redfall reviews led Xbox head Phil Spencer to publicly apologise to the community on the state of the game after promising so much. It's an interesting topic as to whether or not this was the right thing to do, but we have a good chat about this and the state of Xbox right now regardless. Elsewhere in PlayStation land there are rumours abound of an upcoming Showcase which will finally (hopefully) answer the questions of what the hell their studios have been working on. We may see some more Spidey, we may get MGS3?! It's all up in the air but by jove we're all a bit excited about it. Well, except for Kat. In Game of the Week, Kat and Miles have jumped into the Until Dawn-esque adventure The Quarry whilst Miles has been playing Remnants of the Rift (with a nice little shout out to the Star Wars goodness currently all over the Fortnite island), Josh has been checking out the PlayStaiton version of Squeenix's LiveALive, Yogdog has fell down a master race rabbit hole in PC strategy Rimworld..lols. Episode 200 with Ethan Lawrence!
It's here! We've made it to episode 200 of The Finger Guns Podcast and holy crap on a cracker have we got a treat for you. Joining the returning Rossko with Miles, Kat, Josh and Yogdog is the brilliant Ethan Lawrence, returning for a fourth time and causing more chaos than ever. I'm pretty sure we talked about video games at one point. We get into the news of the week too, of course (eventually) but I'm not entirely sure we can write a description here of this episode because it's a no holds barred, no real system episode that went off the rails extremely quickly, and possibly includes the longest quiz we've ever done but my word is it epic. Fortunately we still managed to find time to include Game of the Week and Kat has been checking out the Crash Team Rumble Closed Beta, Miles has been checking out the unique and superb Strayed Lights, Josh has been playing the tactical roguelike deckbuilders Wildheart, Ethan has taken himself back to 2017 with the wonderful Stardew Valley and Yogdog has been checking out a game he can't yet talk about. It's Episode 200. It's here. It's absolutely mad. It's the longest episode we've ever recorded. Enjoy, because we all very much did.Dedicated to the memory of Stephen Keniston.
