We have all been repeatedly told that the traditional college setting is the only path to success but the truth is that it is all but obsolete. Only one of our kids went the college route, but all have been successful with or without college. I have a series of podcast episodes where I interviewed each of our grown kids who shared their journey after high school. (I’ll leave links below.) One of the most common struggles every mom deals with is feeling inadequate. It happens frequently and can become overwhelming. Many of you know that our youngest son was diagnosed with Autism last fall. I knew since he was very young that he was likely on the spectrum, but he continued to progress in his development so we never had him evaluated. Some significant changes happened in him about a year ago which led us to finally seek a diagnosis. The study of the end times can be confusing and overwhelming, but Wes and I have attempted to share some nuts and bolts on this topic. Last week we shared an episode titled Are We Living in the Last Days? On Monday we shared another called: Living with Hope When the Church Says It’s Only Going to Get Worse. Our intention in doing these episodes was to present another biblical perspective on the end times that many have not heard about because we have never been taught anything different. To clarify, there are 3 basic views on end times: Premillennialism (which is what almost all of us have been taught exclusively or simply watched the "Left Behind" series) Amillennialism, and Postmillennialism. Prior to about 100 years ago all three views were known to and held by the church and her theologians. I think that is worth noting. This means that throughout all of church history, believers were knowledgeable about all three perspectives. Only in the last 100 years has Premillennialism been so widely embraced. I don’t know about you, but that alone gives me a reason to pause. Today we are answering questions that arose from our previous discussions by sharing the Postmillennialism perspective on Revelation, the Mark of the Beast, and the Anti-Christ. Although homeschooling our kids gives us many more opportunities to disciple our children, it does not guarantee that they will embrace our faith.
