My guest in this episode of The Doctor’s Farmacy is Gary Taubes, one of the most accomplished health journalists in the world. In addition to being an investigative science and health journalist, Taubes is the co-founder of the non-profit Nutrition Science Initiative, which aims to reduce the individual, social, and economic costs of obesity, diabetes, and their related diseases by improving the quality of science in nutrition and obesity research.
He is also the author of The Case Against Sugar (2016), Why We Get Fat and What to Do About It (2011), and Good Calories, Bad Calories (2007). Taubes is the recipient of many prestigious awards in the fields of both journalism and health, and he has graduated with degrees from Harvard, Stanford, and Columbia.
