Ep 44Going deep into the Rio Grande Gorge with Nick Streit, Taos, NM
Our destination is Taos, New Mexico, and the pristine Rio Grande River. Our guest is expert fly angler and guide, Nick Streit, owner of Taos Fly Shop. The Rio Grande is a rugged and unpressured river as it flows through the gorge just outside of Taos, NW. A great numbers fishery, the Rio Grande is designated one of America's Wild and Scenic Rivers where 50 to 100 fish days are possible. Nick got into the family business at an early age, guiding before he could even drive. By the age of 17, he was a member of the U.S. fly fishing team that took second place in the World Championships in Wales, of all places.
