Brady & Katie Wrede have both been on the show beofre talking about their solo efforts in music. They also happen to play together as Common Ground. We finally had the chance to chat with them about their music and where they'll be playing. The Weekend Eve Toast goes to the art of dance. Honorable Mention is a combo from a recnt party we attended.

What's in store for Clinton Store? Couldn't resist the pun. You won't be able to resist hearing the local actor as we talk about his ability to bring characters (even animated ones) to life. Then from the Brookings based troupe Improvanopolis Bill Landsman is hoping the grow the improv scene in the Sioux Empire. The Weekend Eve Toast salutes the Class of 2022 while Honorable Mention might be the most well deserved award of the past week.

This show is for the birds! The Sioux Falls Canaries that is. John Gaskins is the Entertainment Director for the independent baseball team. He highlights this week's show telling us about the great entertainment lined up for this year's home schedule. They have 50 "parties" on tapk featuring local entertainment and plenty of entertaining promotions to help make summer fly by. He's also looking for more entertainers and tells us how to contact him. Plus he's a reporter for Dakota News Now. We touch on that as well. The Weekend Eve Toast to collaboration actually preludes Honorable Mention.

Special treat this show as we get to hear some music and not worry about copyrights as the group Beautiful Kingdom joins the show along with the always energetic Apolonia Davalos. Plujs there is a great art show benefit Friday night as part of this month's First Friday at Van Arts Studios to support the South Dakota Survivor Task Force against domestic violence, sexual assault and sex trafficking. The Weekend Eve Toast goes to Cinco De May and the Honorable Mention is from a private event the host was able to attend.

Premiere Playhouse Executive Director Robin Byrne is resigning at the end of this season. While he tells us about the decision to move back to England, he tells us about all the programming going one yet before he leaves...and leaves the door open for returning as a guest director. Actor Samantha Hendriks took 13 years off from acting to start a family. She's been a few productions the past year and is in the upcoming Olde Towne Dinner Theatre production of Caught In The Net. The Weekend Eve Toast goes to chance encounters while this week's Honorable Mention salutes a great local business.

This week it's a triple dip of Sioux Empire Arts & Entertainment. Thankfully actor Ezra Hunter had a spare hour as he's been in shows continually since the first of the year. It definitely was worth the extra effort to lineup musician Billy Lurken. Besides a great conversation about music, we even shred a marquee together once upon a time. Plus Link Wiley from FunTimeFotos joins us to talk about his new venture. Plus the usual Weekend Eve Toast and some belly laughs for Honorable Mention.

Guitarist Eric Miller is on the show for the first time. He LOVES electric guitars. He happens to play them well too. He's done so recently with Good Night Theatre and Midtown Coffee Radio Hour. Meanwhile musician Michael Sorenson makes his fourth appearance to talk about Six Feet Over, Duel Purpose and now his latest gig--musical accompanist with Improv Falls. The Weekend Eve Toast helps the medicine go down while impress customer service gets the Honorable Mention nod this week.

Who knows that Sioux Falls has an anthem? Bob Nelson does. He even sings it for us along while talking about his love of local theatre and all the parts he's played on and off stage. Plus Rose Ann Hofland is an actor/direct and also works at Levitt at the Falls. While she didn't tell us this year's Levitt schedule, she did give us some great info after we first talked about her directing Good Night Theatre Collective's Into The Woods. The Weekend Eve Toast goes to After Parties and Honorable Mention this week is for fellow local podcasters Casey Kelderman, Brian Mensing and Sam Lenz for having me on their podcast to talk Mel Brooks' Blazing Saddles.

The Psychic is being presented by the Mighty Corson Arts Players this weekend and next. Director Brian Schipper tells us about the show, the cast and some things coming up for MCAP. Chris Andrews recently had the lead in Lombardi at Premiere Playhouse. We talk with him about his serious side and his improv comedy side as an Improv Falls cast member. The Weekend Eve Toast goes to ovations while Honorable Mention is for a man from northern Minnesota that recently picked up one of my pens from my wife and said "Hey, I just listened to this podcast."

One great guest and then 10 Rules Every Artist Should Live By. That great guest is Sydney Bartunek-Bender of Move to Heal South Dakota. She is the organization's founder and has been moving since the age of five with a great dance career. She tells us about their upcoming events as well as its focus and mission. Listen for her very quotable statement about absorbing the arts. Due to host miscommunication, the other guest is now rescheduled in late April, so Dave presents some advice for all artists no matter if a novice or a professional. The Weekend Eve Toast salutes those unexpected times you catch up with friends. Honorable Mention goes to an unexpected evening of jazz...partly due to Dave's forgetting to pay his tab at R Wine Bar.

He is one of the busiest people in show biz in the Sioux Empire. Zach Dresch joins us to talk comedy, talk show cohosting, drumming and improv. THen we learn about the elegant art of aerial performance with Kayla Mathieu & Katie Herrmann from Cirka Perform. We toast "paying it forward" as we head to the weekend and give a shout out to Collin McKenzie & Steve Rausch of Storybuilt on Honorable Mention for the world premier of the full feature documentary Vertical Freedom.

Local singer/songwriter Toby Kane & musician Brian Masek collaborated on the album Ghost and a Guess. It was produced during COVID with the two of them never being together in the studio. As funny as that may seem. the Sno-Jam Comedy Festival benefitting Special Olympics is next week. COmics Nathan Hults & Luke Johnson give us a preview. We toast our fin city8 for reached the 200,000 population mark and Honorable Mention this week is a Happy Birthday wish, albeit belated.

And now back to regularly scheduled programming...Episode 111 gets the new year started with new guests. Chuck Case is drummer and band leader for the Late Night Boomin' TV show. We talk to Chuck about heading Chuck Case and The Late Night Boomers about being in the house band as well as his time in a few bands in the USAF. Then we're joined by comedian/actor Casey Kustak as we talk about comedy and stage acting and how one lead to the other.

It's the last show of 2021 prior to a two week hiatus, but the presents under the Episode 110 tree are wonderful. We unwrap great conversations with singer/songwriter/producer Elizabeth Enalls as well as the oldies band The 1270s with members Dakota Gamber & Adam Bruggeman. A little boy is this week's Honorable Mention and the Wekend Eve Toast is to...guess you'll just have to listen.
