S1 Ep 165Big Trouble in Little Venice
Difficult scoring conditions for the pod this week with next to zero golf actually happening. Yet Andrew, Eddie and Iain still manage to find over an hour of chat by discussing coloured golf balls, darts, TGL, the naming of South American countries and Al Besselink. What's more, we find out which major championship Eddie decided not to play in...Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukVisit: https://eu.ping.com/en-gb/clubsEmail: [email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 164In Memory of Sewsunker Sewgolum
For our last episode of 2025 Andrew, Eddie and Iain are joined by tennis legend / golf anorak / poor skiier Andy Murray to talk about his ongoing golfing journey and look forward to an almost certain victory alongside Eddie in the Sunningdale Foursomes next year. Apart from that, they remember Jumbo Ozaki and chat about Brooks Koepka's exit from LIV, Mito Pereira's exit from golf and Tiger Woods' exit from his forties. Then they finish up the year with a mention for a forgotten great of South African golf. Thanks for listening in 2025.Visit www.petermillar.co.ukInstagram: @chippingforecastemail: [email protected] Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 163Three Unwise Men
In the last episode before Christmas, Andrew, Iain and Eddie convene like the ghosts of past, present and yet to come to mull over Eddie's final tournament for the year, in Mauritius.43rd place doesn't sound exciting and, let's be honest, it isn't. But there is still plenty to be positive about for our resident Tour pro with putting and short game improving. Apart from the trio discussing that, there is also talk about the respective achievements of Jayden Schaper in making it back to back titles and Ryan Gerard in qualifying for The Masters. Other stuff is also talked about in the pod, but I can't remember exactly what at the moment. Merry Christmas. S1 Ep 162Laurie and the LIV Life Choice
Three become four this week as Laurie Canter joins Andrew, Eddie and Iain to have a detailed chat about his impending move back to LIV. Eddie, meanwhile, is in Mauritius preparing for his return to competition this week by rowing and throwing a tennis ball, while Andrew and Iain defend themselves against various critics on any number of subjects.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukEmail: [email protected]: @chippingforecast. S1 Ep 161I Am Not Iron Man
How do we find consistency in golf? That is the question vexing Eddie at the moment after his trip to Australia where he led during the Australian Open, yet still failed to make the weekend. Remarkably, driving is the only part of his game which is offering permanent satisfaction and he has moved on to Dubai to find some answers. Or just lie in the sun.The trio also wonder if, or how, the Australian Open could become a major as well as interpreting dreams, talking about Norwegian supermarkets and deciding who are the anti-Spaniards.Visit: www.petermillar.co.uk/outerwearEmail: [email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 160The Mini Bar Kid
This week Eddie breaks down a solid but unspectacular performance at the Australian PGA as he gets his DP World Tour season underway - giving us the often quite temperamental details of what actually went on and his various Eddie-esque methods of dealing with them.Andrew and Iain talk about Fuzzy Zoeller, who died this week, outlining his engaging personality, huge golfing ability and the significant mistake off the course which stayed with him. The news of of Laurie Canter officially joining LIV with the Majesticks broke too late for Eddie to discuss it, but Andrew and Iain do, while Eddie looks ahead to the Australian Open at Melbourne from the comfort one of the top-three hotels he has ever stayed in.Cashmere time at Peter Millar: https://www.petermillar.co.uk/c/gift-guide/cashmereEmail time at: [email protected] time at: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 159The Oz Man and The Osman
Possibly a new record for episode duration, which we know is nothing really to be proud of, but our excuse is that we have author, golf lover and all-round overachiever Richard Osman joining us to discuss television, writing, podcasting and most importantly golf. Eddie is down under preparing for the Australian PGA championship and while he looks ahead to that, with his over-lofted putter, he also reflects on the likely departure of friend Laurie Canter to LIV and we try to answer the question: Who is the world number 47?Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukEmail: [email protected]: @chippingforecastListen to Richard Osman on the podcast 'The Rest is Entertainment'. S1 Ep 158Fitzy, Rory, Eddie-y.
The Chipping Forecast Salarymen gather once more to chat about various matters, including Matt Fitzpatrick's victory in Dubai and Rory's Race to Dubai title number seven. Meanwhile, Eddie has come down from his high of Q-School and is making practical plans for his upcoming trip to Australia and can bring us exciting news about future plans for the Sunningdale Foursomes. He also has a sensational bedroom revelation about TOUR STAR LAURIE CANTER. LISTEN FOR MORE....Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukEmail: [email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 157BONUS - The Return of the Edi
He only went and did it... A special episode to mark a special achievement by a special man. Eddie regains his DP World Tour card by finishing with four straight birdies at the final stage of qualifying school in Spain. He joins Iain and Andrew to discuss his performance and where it leaves him now. Emotions ran high in Spain and everybody in the TCF family can celebrate for now. But as he says, it's only a start. Bravo Eddie.Instagram - @chippingforecastEmail - [email protected] Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 156School Days
An episode which comes in the midst of the final of Q-School, yet Eddie is happy to have a glass of wine and chat about his current position going into the final two rounds. There is of course plenty to discuss on other matters as well, including Aaron Rai's win in Abu Dhabi and who is in and out of various things, such as PGA Tour cards and bonus pools. There is also a short debate about whether Rory McIlroy is more famous than Andy Murray as well as Andrew droning on about overseas French and Danish territories.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukInstagram: @chippingforecastEmail: [email protected] Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 155E.P. Can't Phone Home.
Q-School is in session and Eddie has safely negotiated stage 2. Unfortunately the same can't be said for some expensive possessions as he admits that the frustration of hitting the ball as well as he ever has was not matched by his putting. And yet... he gets to stay on in Barcelona to prepare for stage 3, while Iain has arrived in Dubai ahead of the two big end of season events on the DP World Tour. There is further chat about James Morrison finding his way back to the main tour, Tom McKibbin earning his way to the Masters and The Open as well as a mention of the Chinese Tiger Woods, changes to the Old Course and a sponsor's invitation for perhaps the best connected 18 year old in the game.Warning: this podcast is stuffed full of fluff.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukInstagram: @chippingforecastEmail: [email protected] Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 154Two Under Par
A rare episode that falls below the one-hour mark, but there are valid reasons:1) It's not the busiest time in golf, 2) Andrew is at death's door so hasn't got quite as much of his non-golf nonsense to waffle on about, 3) Eddie professes to being in the doldrums so isn't really feeling it as he prepares for the second stage of Q-School and 4) Iain is in Venice and has a lot of explaining to do to his sister-in-law.All that being said, we hope you still enjoy it and come back soon.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukEmail:[email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 153A Snowman in New Delhi
So... that's that for Eddie on Tour this season. Despite (partly) enjoying the DP World India Championship in New Delhi - and also playing a lot of good golf - one quadruple bogey ended his weekend chances and now he's back, shivering and trying to explain himself while wearing three coats in his own home. But we discover that Eddie does now intend to go to Q-School, thus ensuring more drama for the podcast in the weeks to come. There is obviously plenty of praise for Tommy Fleetwood and his latest victory in a season which, according to Andrew and Iain, puts him firmly in the top-three golfers of the year. Meanwhile Andrew tries very hard not to start a coup in West Africa or escalate tensions in the South China Sea. And Iain recommends a film starring an actor called Leonardo DiCaprio, so hopefully that will give a boost to the fellow's career.TCF brought to you by: www.petermillar.co.ukInstagram: @chippingforecastEmail: [email protected] Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 152An Indian Summer
An earlier than usual recording as Eddie is spending all of Monday travelling to India, having received an invitation to play in the DP World Championship in Delhi. He still makes time to join Andrew and Iain to discuss Marco Penge completing his third victory of a remarkable season in Spain. Xander Schauffele is back in the winner's circle after his triumph in Japan and World Number One Jeeno Thitikul becomes the first repeat winner of the LPGA season. In other news, Iain bought a swing training aid and Andrew will not be selling potatoes any time soon. The Chipping Forecast is in association with: www.petermillar.co.ukEmail: [email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 151Out of the Shadows
An eagerly-awaited serving of TCF as Eddie gets to tell us all about the Dunhill Links experience where he showed more than a few glimpses of what he can do and where he belongs. Partnered with Andy Murray and playing with some of Europe's finest, there were huge crowds, 18 birdies for Eddie and a sizeable contingent of dogs as well as Big Ron and Mad Gazza planning their Saturday night out. A good week was clearly had by all, but where does Eddie go from here? Add to this the news that Eddie was served with a court order and Iain fell over in a kitchen and you can imagine that it is quite the episode. S1 Ep 150The Ryder Cup - Won and Done
Here they are, Andrew, Iain and Eddie reunited and ready to review the remarkable Ryder Cup at Bethpage, where the USA nearly achieved the comeback to beat all comebacks, but Europe held on to retain the trophy. The possible reasons why are examined as well as a discussion about the less than enjoyable atmosphere. And for clickbait purposes, there is a tale of NEAR-DEATH on the Long Island Expressway. This episode is not brought to you by Jeep.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukVisit: www.ping.comEmail: [email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 149Ryder Cup - Day One
A fleeting bonus episode of TCF as Eddie stays up to join Andrew and look back on day one of the Ryder Cup. It was a day where Europe dominated and remarkably both Scottie Scheffler nor Bryson Dechambeau returned null points for the USA. We did wait for our regular special guest to turn up, but sadly we're still waiting. There is, however, a brief cameo appearance from Ken Brown. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 148Ryder Cup Bonus - Waffling Over, Time for Golf
The final day of build-up to the Ryder Cup is over and Eddie returns to discuss the opening day's pairings, while also including the vital information that he has successfully hung up some pictures. Andrew takes us down memory lane to remember the feats of a less celebrated European Ryder Cup star and Eddie then gives us very specific predictions for the opening foursome session. This bonus episode is brought to you by DP WorldEmail: [email protected] Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 147Ryder Cup Bonus - Woden's Day
The long build-up to The Ryder Cup continues as Andrew and Iain convene at Bethpage - wearing very large headphones - to discuss any important matters and tell a man asking for directions where to go. Just not in the way that he expected. There its also a chat with the legendary caddy Billy Foster about his Ryder Cup memories. This bonus episode is brought to you by DP World. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 146Ryder Cup BONUS - Scheffler eats The Badger
On Tuesday at the Ryder Cup, Andrew is stuck on a plane getting angry about a situation which he is powerless to prevent, yet he is somehow soothed by a voice message from Laurie Canter confirming that, it is true, his mother was one of Pan's People. Eddie and Iain chat in a more focussed way about the build-up at Bethpage and after hearing from Luke Donald, Iain has a conversation with US captain Keegan Bradley. Andrew does make a cameo appearance to ask Eddie who he thinks might be the best European player of all time. This bonus episode is in association with DP World. Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 145The Long Good Monday
The Chipping Forecast spans the globe at the start of Ryder Cup week, by which we mean that Andrew is not very fresh off a plane from Tokyo to Los Angeles, Iain is battling with the roads of Long Island and Eddie is barely coherent, since it's after 11pm in Oxfordshire. However, our Tour pro stays awake long enough to tell us that his form is actually pretty good despite what The Italian Challenge leaderboard says. We also hear from Europe's Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald and are given the most startling revelation about a European Tour player in the history of both golf and pop music.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukCheck out: www.ping.comInsta: @thechippingforecastEmail: [email protected] Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 144A Throw Too Far
A logistically challenging episode with Andrew appearing between athletics sessions in Tokyo, Eddie still in Portugal and Iain recovering from a cold while trying to make his garden a barren, wildlife-free zone. Eddie talks about his poor form last week and offers contrition after recognising that he might have gone too far in his frustration. The three wonder if there has ever been a better active golfer as assistant captain than Alex Noren, while recapping the extraordinary finish to Charley Hull's latest LPGA win and applauding a win for Scottie Scheffler to end his three-week long victory drought. This podcast is brought to you by: www.petermillar.co.ukWith support from: www.ping.comEmail: [email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 143Éamonn O'Pepperell & The Super Special Guest
The longest ever episode of TCF - not a fact of which we are proud, so we strongly suggest that you think of it as two episodes squashed together and treat it as such, being happy just to have the extra content. The reason is that there is plenty to talk about: Rory's dramatic win at the Irish Open and the fan reactions - both good and bad - which it inspired. The beautiful, yet one-sided Walker Cup and musings on whether Great Britain and Ireland needs a bit of help. And Eddie's psychological state on his return to the Hotel Planner Tour this week in Portugal. But most of all, the pod is long because we spend quite some time waiting for the appearance of a guest who might not even turn up...Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukCheck out:www.ping.comEmail:[email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 142Death by Shot Tracker
This week Eddie has returned from the mountains, where he produced a performance that has inspired him to consider a major equipment change. There is also mulling over the Atlantic imbalance, whereby those who lose their cards on the PGA Tour have the opportunities to play some often terrible golf on the DP World Tour.Of course the European Ryder Cup team gets a mention and we hear from captain Luke Donald about his selection, where he has done little more than swapping Danish twins. All three decide it's probably best that Luke didn't go rogue and pick Peter Odemwingie.Be like Thriston...Visit: www.petermillar.co.uk Check out:www.ping.comSee Eddie in the clouds: @chippingforecast (Instagram)Email:[email protected] Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 141Tommy's Triumph
And lo, did Tommy Fleetwood smite all of those unbelievers before him, winning the Tour Championship and with it ten million dollars. Andrew Eddie and Iain convene to discuss that, as well as Ryder Cup team selection, Eddie's new found peace at the Belfry (despite a missed cut), which golfer had his waxwork repurposed and news of some very disturbing breakfast choices. All that plus more in a bumper edition of the pod. Which is our way of putting a positive spin on the fact that this episode is just too long really. S1 Ep 140After the Gold Rush
We are reduced to only two members of the TCF team and - whoever they may be - are left to discuss all the usual goings on in this crazy game we call golf. Scottie Scheffler's won a tournament, which is nice, and we wonder which will earn him more money this season - the prize money or the bonuses? And why do you need both? A more pertinent debate comes with discussing who might fill the two realistic places available for Europe's Ryder Cup team. Is Harry Hall in the frame to become the first Cornishman to play in the match? Will Marco Penge's late run be enough or are DP World Tour events just too minor? Is the late Dame Thora Hird a decent outside bet? There is also plenty of chat about LIV Golf; Jon Rahm takes the season bonus despite not winning a tournament, while one of Europe's finest ever golfers is left to contemplate sailing off into the sunset.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukHave a look at:www.ping.comInstagram:@chippingforecastEmail:[email protected] Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 139Pain is so close to Pleasure
In an endearingly self-deprecating description of this episode we would say that it's about twenty minutes longer than it needs to be. But there really is a lot to talk about with Eddie entertaining us all at Trump International and finding a top-10 finish on the main tour again. Yet even in finding form he still flirts with the darkness and is starting to cause some concern to Andrew, Iain and his many TCF followers / stalkers. There is also plenty of discussion of Tommy Fleetwood once again coming up short in Memphis and what he can change to get over the line. And there is no end of admiration for Justin Rose and his play-off win, with Iain suggesting there really is little that Rose can't do. S1 Ep 138Punched by Anthony Joshua
Well, not really, it just felt like it to Eddie as he continued to beat himself up on the golf course despite a decent showing on the HotelPlanner Tour. The trio talk about his behaviour and form as well as the success of the AIG Women's Open at Royal Porthcawl where Japan took another women's major - this time through Miyu Yamashita - and Charley Hull provided most of the entertainment as well as a blunt assessment of a Welsh culinary delicacy.Check out the Icons range at: www.petermillar.co.ukPing i240 irons and much more at: www.ping.comemail: [email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 137Lottie Woad and Ibiza
This week we celebrate the arrival of a new star in golf in Lottie Woad after her oh-so-impressive victory on her professional debut at the Women's Scottish Open. The trio also celebrate Eddie's safe return from Ibiza where TCF's touring pro survived backflips and a moderately fast boating expedition under the watchful eye of safety officer Laurie Canter. The trio look ahead to the AIG Women's Open at Porthcawl as well as Eddie's return to competition and question whether Andrew really does have a putting handicap of +5.1 or whether he just has aides knocking the ball into the hole for him. S1 Ep 136Portrush and Philosophy
Eddie returns to the pod with a report on his recent tournament in Germany, his general health and his plans for the weeks ahead. He also brings his particular brand of thinking to an analysis of Scottie Scheffler's triumph at Portrush as well as the personality and motivation of the world number one with iain and Andrew wondering if he is actually good for the game. Scheffler, that is, not Eddie. We know he's good for it.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukwww.ping.comEmail: [email protected]:@chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 135OPEN - CLOSED
An immediate, Sunday evening review of an Open Championship where Scottie Scheffler dominated, adding the Claret Jug to his collection and possibly enjoying it for a few minutes before moving on to other things. Andrew and Iain meet for the last time in the noisy media centre to discuss things and hear the thoughts of both Scheffler and Rory McIlroy. There is only minimal discussion of Eddie's 8th-place finish in Germany, but that - and so much more - will come in our weekly pod. "TCF...TCF...TCF..". Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 134Saturday at The Open
Saturday night at The Open Championship: Andrew and Iain once again convene in the media centre to discuss the third round, wondering if anybody can stop Scottie Scheffler from winning his first Claret Jug and his fourth major, but more than that, they discuss whether he is actually exciting to watch or if his mastery of the game is actually quite dull. They ponder both that and the hero worship for Rory McIlroy while also hearing from Eddie out in Germany again, who managed to salvage his third round at the Hotel Planner Tour event with a storming finish before enjoying another large steak. Probably. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 133Halfway at The Open
Friday night at The Open Championship and is this the time for Scottie Scheffler to claim the Claret Jug and his fourth major? Or can Matt Fitzpatrick add the Open to his US Open triumph? Or perhaps Brian Harman will do it again? And will Eddie notch up another top-10 in Germany in his comeback from injury? These and so many other questions are not really answered here as Andrew, Iain and - in some small way - Eddie combine to chat at the halfway stage of The Open Championship. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 132Wednesday at Portrush
Our first min-pod of Open Championship week which turns out to not be quite so mini. Andrew and Iain meet up on the first tee to have a chat and watch various golfers tee off in their final practice rounds before it all gets underway on Thursday. In the process of which they fail to identify Cameron Adam - Royal Burgess member, former Scottish Amateur champion and St Andrews Links winner. Feeling so ashamed they have decided to dedicate this pod to him. Iain also chats to US Open champion JJ Spaun and Bob McIntyre, who was of course runner-up to Spaun at Oakmont, but is perhaps better known as something of a mentor to Cameron Adam. Go well Cammy. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 131OPEN ALL HOURS
Here we are then - Monday of Open Championship and Iain and Andrew are together (two desks apart) in the media centre at Portrush, while Eddie joins from the highest point of his house to look ahead to the greatest golf tournament of them all. First, though, there are reflections on a wondrous finish to the Evian Championship and another stellar performance from Lottie Woad, which is likely to be her last as an amateur. We round up the Scottish Open and consider the form shown by various leading lights and we hear from Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry ahead of the big show.Visit: www.petermillar.co.uk Crown Crafted collectionFrom PING, check out the iDi driving iron and i240 irons, launching this week. And have a look at @chippingforecast on Instagram to decided which of Iain or Andrew really has the more slender wrists. S1 Ep 130The Metronome and The Badger
Once more it's a Wimbledon / golf episode with assorted diversions thrown in as the trio try to fit in a golf podcast around their various diary challenges. Iain is heading off to Edinburgh for the Scottish Open, Andrew is still at Wimbledon and Eddie is embarking on a new career as a yoga instructor. There's an update on his back issues, a look back at some of the stories from Open final qualifying and more than a word or two of praise for Lottie Woad after her dominant victory in Ireland.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukInstagram: @chippingforecastEmail: [email protected] Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 129Eddie Body Hurts
A sore one, in every way possible. Eddie is back in the UK after the final day withdrawal while holding the lead in the Challenge Tour event in France. He explains why playing well might be the cause of his ailment and how he can fix it all going forward. Iain is at least able to report one victory for the TCF team while Andrew regrets parking under a tree.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukEmail: [email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 128Fleetwood Lack
Many tales from different types of touring this week as Eddie takes us through his return to competitive golf, Iain explains why he won't be returning to Frisco and Andrew bemoans crime levels in Hammersmith. In more obviously golf-related matters, the three discuss another near miss for Tommy Fleetwood and wonder how he can start to close out tournaments. They also chat about a third major for Minjee Lee and Iain comes up with possible solutions to a couple of potential problems with the womens' game.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukEmail: [email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 127US OPEN REVIEW
This episode has been a US Open-style challenge. And we have shot somewhere in the mid-70s, only hoping to make up some ground on the field in episodes to come. Iain is in Oakmont, Eddie drops in briefly from France (at which point Laurie Canter also gives us his thoughts on his first US Open) and Andrew joins from semi-consciousness at about 2 in the morning. Iain and Andrew give the full review of JJ Spaun's remarkable victory, Bob McIntrye's near miss and they all chat about Rory and what lies ahead for him this year.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukEmail:[email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 126The Clumsy, The Spineless and the Alibi-Artist.
We'll let you decide which is which...The US Open is here and before Iain heads to Oakmont he joins Andrew and Eddie to pick over the bones of last weekend's golf, with Ryan Fox winning in Canada, Connor Syme getting his first DP World Tour win in The Netherlands and Graeme McDowell collecting comfortably the biggest prize cheque of his career. They also manage to wander through the formative history of Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania, chat about the worrying dip in form for Rory McIlroy and pick their favourites for the third men's major of the season. S1 Ep 125As Good as Tiger?
A clickbait title for you on another long episode, which we might stop apologising for - there’s no obligation to listen to all of it. In fact it’s simply a necessary length to cover Maja Stark’s debut major win at the US Women’s Open, while also asking if the consistency of excellence from Scottie Scheffler means that he might have a Tiger-like career. This and much more full-on golf chat is the meat in the middle of a rambling sandwich where we also touch upon Andrew’s TV quiz behaviour, Iain’s squirrel vaseline and Eddie’s inability to perform a basic bodily function.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukInsta: @chippingforecastEmail: [email protected] Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 124Eddie's 10kg Weight Gain
In a disturbingly long episode, Eddie tells us about his new training and practise regime, while Iain and Andrew assess the performance of Ernie Els and Retief Goosen in the Oval Office. They also reflect on last week's tournaments and look ahead to the US Women's Open at Erin Hills before considering the British talent on show in the NCAAs. The pod then finishes in dramatic style as Iain tells a story about hitting a bunker shot.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukInstagram: @chippingforecastEmail: [email protected] Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 123Scottie and Skye
An episode reflecting on a third major title for Scottie Scheffler and one which was many hours in the making do to overwhelming technical incompetence. Andrew and Iain kick things off from either side of the Atlantic as they look at Scheffler's composure under pressure to win the US PGA, as well as remarking upon the contrast between the eloquence of Jon Rahm in describing his near-miss and the refusal of Rory McIlroy to speak to the media after his frustrating week. Eddie then joins and an hour later after after an hour of recording some podcast gold, they start again as our wandering Tour pro realises that he hasn't pressed record. At the second time of asking they explain why an illegal driver is not nearly as dramatic as the internet has suggested, wonder what has happened to Brooks Koepka, heap more praise on Mimi Rhodes and ask Eddie when we can expect to see him back on the golf course.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukInstagram: @chippingforecastEmail: [email protected] Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 122You're Better Than This
It's USPGA week and the greatest players in the game are gatheringfor the second men's major of the season. But while our trio do use this episode to look ahead to events at Quail Hollow, and also muse upon the ongoing good form of Sepp Straka and Shane Lowry, they are initially far more occupied discussing Eddie's course walk-off in Turkey. Andrew and Iain try to offer psychological support, despite dealing with their own golfing defeats (Iain) and humiliation (Andrew).Visit: www.petermillar.co.uk (Note - TCF delivery offer is for same-day DESPATCH)Enter: https://biggolfrace.prostatecanceruk.org/Instagram: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 121Scottie Scheffler and The Black Death
The TCF trio bring tales from their travels this week while Eddie also does some light photocopying in the business centre of a Turkish hotel. Top of the agenda are Iain and Eddie's trips to the the north of Scotland and Portugal respectively, with Eddie announcing his unique method of preparation for a return to the DP World Tour. Next on the agenda is Scottie Scheffler's record-equalling victory in Texas, while Andrew muses on the short but glorious career of Byron Nelson, tells us which great golfer can thank spark plugs for a lack of pressure and wonders how history might have been different but for some fleas on rats in the 14th century.www.petermillar.co.ukhttps://biggolfrace.prostatecanceruk.orgInstagram: @chippingforecastEmail: [email protected] Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 120Saigo and a Stag-do
If one of our correspondents is correct in saying that we didn't break 80 with our last episode, then it is very possible we shoot in the low-90s with this one. Iain is absent and Andrew and Eddie drift, rudderless, across the golfing oceans although they do make attempts to discuss the dramatic finish to the first women's major of the season, a first win for Marco Penge and his impressive thighs on the DP World Tour and also wonder if playing good golf on your own is actually good golf at all.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukhttps://biggolfrace.prostatecanceruk.org/Instagram: @chippingforecastemail us: [email protected] Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 119Reasons to be Cheerful
After the excitement of the Masters, this week's Chipping Forecast deals with the excitement of jet-washing a patio and humane methods of dealing with ants. Beyond that the trio discuss Justin Thomas and Ashun Wu returning to the winner's circle, serving as inspiration for Eddie. And our resident tour player talks with some positivity about his own golf and looks forward to a game on Thursday where he will, for once, be the happiest person in his group.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukSign up: biggolfrace.prostatecanceruk.orgWatch a young(er) less jaded Andrew wander in to the Butler Cabin: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/golf/35990197Email us: [email protected] Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 118The Master's Voice
Our full Chipping Forecast review of the Masters where we hear from Rory McIlroy and Eddie joins for the first time in a week to give us his thoughts on what was the greatest golfing day in recent memory. We go through the highs and lows of that final round again and analyse where it was won and lost, with more than a tip of the Peter Millar cap to Justin Rose who has been rather lost in the Rory story. Iain joins in midway through after his two hours of sleep and before another full day of broadcasting duties, to talk about a win which has captured the imagination far beyond the world of hardcore golf fans and the trio wonder what McIlroy might now go on to achieve...In association with www.petermillar.co.ukVisit https://biggolfrace.prostatecanceruk.org/The Chipping Forecast Instagram: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 118RORY McILROY WINS THE MASTERS
So, it happened. In a quite dramatic fashion. Our normal pod will drop later today, but here is our final mini-pod/chipolata of the 2025 Masters, as Rory McIlroy banishes the demons to take the green jacket and complete the career grand slam. Iain is drinking wine during this recording. That's how dramatic it was. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 117The Masters - McIlroy v DeChambeau II
An unscheduled and slightly scrawny chipolata, but one which was necessary because of the situation at The Masters with an outstanding Saturday setting up what could be one of the great duels in major golf. Very tired and slightly incoherent, Andrew and Iain give their thoughts on what they saw on Saturday and what they hope or expect to unfold on Sunday at Augusta National. Hosted on Acast.
