On episodes four and five of The Change Makers Podcast, Ellen introduces you to Compassion Canada's new President & CEO, Allison Alley. We're excited to give you an inside-look at Allison, who is one of the most intentional and fun thought-leaders Ellen knows. In episode four, Ellen talks with Allison about her calling into ministry early in her career with Youth With A Mission, and her later transition from working in corporate finance to ministry with Compassion Canada. Ellen dives deep with Allison and asks her whether or not child sponsorship actually works.

About Allison Alley: Allison Alley is President and CEO of Compassion Canada, a leading child development organization that is helping 2 million children in 25 countries learn the skills and receive the opportunities they need to overcome poverty. Compassion Canada was recently named by Maclean's magazine as one of Canada's Best Charities in 2020. Allison has a strong track record of advocacy for children around the world and joined the non-profit world after a career in finance. Allison holds a Master of Arts in Global Leadership with an emphasis in International Development and Urban Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary's School of Intercultural Studies and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario's prestigious Ivey Business School. She lives with her husband and two daughters in London, Ontario where Compassion Canada is based.
