From the publisher
The Built For Life podcast helps coaches and personal trainers inside of the health and fitness industry build their dream businesses by focusing on ethical scaling strategies that are specific to them. The health and fitness industry is saturated with people who are just in it for the money, coaches who can market but have zero coaching skill while many of the great coaches, who live by their morals are being left in the ditch. There's a line between ethical and unethical but also, there's things that just make you feel uncomfortable that you need to build more skill with. This podcast helps you understand that. My first role, was always as a coach. So, knowing that people are having traumatic experiences with other mentors, with little to no support or remorse, doesn't sit well with my approach to helping people achieve their goals and never has. I want to use my platform and influence to show coaches that they can do things in a different way in a forever changing landscape, especially in the digital world.

Ep 137Episode #137 - Why Coaches Are Going Out of Business
There's reasons why a massive gap is being created between the coaches who are winning and the ones who aren't. More and more coaches will see themselves leave this industry if they don't focus on the key components of what we discuss in this episode and honestly, they deserve to if they aren't willing to do the work in these areas to rise above the poor standards we're currently seeing across the board.
Ep 136Episode #136 - Is Organic Content Dead?
Is organic content dead? Is ads the way forward? Do I need a massive budget? Do I need to focus on one Vs the other? This is just a few questions I tend to receive from coaches when marketing their businesses and I wanted to give you my views + a simple strategy that can blend the 2 together powerfully.
Ep 135Episode #135 - How To Fix Ghosting
Ghosting has become a widely recognised phenomenon in the health and fitness industry. Often used as a blanket term to categorise a wide range of issues between you, the coach and client. Very often though, the categorisation of ghosting always seems to be put onto the client, never the coach. In this episode we talk about ways that you can combat "ghosting" and increase your retention. We've also never described what occurs as ghosting and most great coaches don't.
Ep 134Episode #134 - The Reason I’ll Never Give Up (And You Shouldn’t Either)
People get not giving up and a lack of effort by persisting confused. I have my reasons for why I'll never give up and that's what this episode is about but the time spent always enduring struggle and challenges is always put to good use instead of claiming you have a "never give up" mentality but fall short with your inputs. This episode is more of a raw insight into what shaped me as an individual and why I look for the hard stuff that others would preferably avoid.
Ep 133Episode #133 - Why Nobody Remembers You
Most coaches fall into the void because there's nothing stand out about them. They have opinions that are about as controversial as roasted cheese or toasted cheese. There's a reason many are forgotten and this episode tells you why.
Ep 132Episode #132 - Why 3,000 Followers Can Be Worth More Than 100,000
In a world where people chase vanity metrics and use them as a marker for "success" you can build your own world where people follow religiously, regardless of the size. After making well over 7 figures in the past few years with what some people deem as a "small following" I believe that most coaches are missing these key pillars in their marketing and it's why people aren't buying.
Ep 131Episode #131 - High Personal Standards Make You A Bad Coach
Coaches rave about personal standards but they never take a moment to consider how their narratives translate to coaching relationships and why, due to their inability to think critically and objectively about what's best for someone else, can actually be one of the most damaging beliefs passed on to clients.
Ep 130Episode #130 - Why The Top 1% Do What Others Won't
The top 1% of people make going the extra mile the default standard. If you're claiming you want what many others can't achieve but following the same average outputs, you're wasting a resource that you can't get back.
Ep 129Episode #129 - How To Immediately Improve Your Content
Coaches never take this aspect of their business into consideration. Arguably, the most crucial part. If you can have high agency in this area, you'll win the game.
Ep 128Episode #128 - From The Oil Rigs To Record Months In Business
In today's episode I interview one of our Built For Coaches clients Aiden who joined us after a previous mentorship experience never lived up to scratch. We talk about Aiden's former role working offshore and how many of the behaviours that he developed their in leadership roles have helped him apply himself to business in a way that's took him from strength to strength. Ep 127Episode #127 - Which Type of Coach Are You?
Are you aware of the dynamic you're creating inside your coaching relationships either with clients or your own coach? Most coaches don't realise that they are the root of their problem based on the way they unconsciously create dynamics that aren't that of a coaching relationship and it's impacting everyone's ability to achieve the outcome you want effectively.
