The other day the discussion about Tyvis Powell's critical interception on Michigan's 2 pt conversion attempt in the 2013 42-41 win got him thinking. He told us that reminded him of what would be his biggest regret as an Ohio State athlete. I mean, does he need an introduction? One of the most famous sportsmen to walk to globe joins us for Golf Week here on the podcast. One of the greatest Buckeyes in the history of the athletics department. The Golden Bear. Jack Nicklaus. We did this last year when he stopped in town for The Memorial Legends Luncheon, and he was kind enough to talk Ohio State with us once again. He talks about memories of campus and being back in town, to playing golf at Ohio State and what that meant, and of course some Buckeye football. I've got so many friends who are great Fan personalities in the building and I rarely get to do shows with them. One of those guys is my good friend Eric Rieser. And when he was first starting here at the station he did a lot of shows with us on The Buckeye Show before settling nicely into his role with Bishop & Friends. So we reminisce about meeting in the middle of a pandemic and doing the show that way before talking extensively about our mutual friend Tyvis Powell and his new opportunity. Happy Monday everyone. The Ohio State football team had a pretty busy weekend with Student Appreciation Day on Saturday and the continuation of spring football practice but it was also mega busy on the recruiting trail. So we say hello to 2024 RB James Peoples out of San Antonio. We'll go over all the particulars and why I have an especially good feeling about this one. I also update you on my sad and pathetic battle with old age. I can't even jog on a treadmill without my hip feeling like it's going to fall off. But I've got some advice for you if you're about to venture into you're upper 30s and aren't finding time for the gym. Enjoy this one friends!

We love talking to the best that Ohio State has to offer on this show. And we are pleased that Coach Muz joined us even after the disappointing 1-0 loss to Wisconsin in the National Championship game. I think there's something here to why she's built up this program so well. She got to the title game and played it to a one goal game, and the competitor in her is struggling to get past it. Make no mistake, she's one of the best coaches on campus and she's forced administration to handle the facility issues for her team. Congrats to Coach Muz and the entire OSU women's hockey team on their 33-6-2 season and second straight trip to the Frozen Four. It's incredible.

They are the No. 1 team in college tennis, and a big part of that is what they get from the money man himself, Robert Cash. He's a senior from New Albany and he loves being a Buckeye more than anything. He's a doubles specialist which is really cool when you think about how this individualized sport becomes a team aspect in the college game. I think you'll enjoy getting to know this dude and what he brings to the game, and why he loves it so much.

This isn't even so much an interview, it's Adam (Columbus Dispatch Buckeye hoops reporter) and I bouncing Buckeye hoops and CBB things off one another. We discuss the last time out against Maryland, the Bucks in late game situations, the makeup of the roster, the team's expectations and this mega month of January packed with road games. In honor of Ohio State left tackle Paris Johnson Jr. getting his degree and declaring for the 2023 NFL Draft we decided to go back to the day where he paid us a visit during the Buckeyes' bye week in October. He's already got his own foundation. He's an awesome guy and an awesome player and look for him early on your 2023 NFL Draft boards.
