Taylor Lundquist is one of the most prolific women in all of skiing being named 2020 Women’s skier of the year as well as being the first women to film an X-Games Real Ski part. In this episode Taylor talks about competitive skiing vs. filming in the streets, having a troubled childhood, coming out, pride month, her up coming pro model boot and more! Taylor is pushing the limits in women skiing, more specifically pushing the limitations in women’s free skiing in the streets and it’s great to see. Jed discusses his journey as a childhood contest kid to street snowboarder that dominated the scene. Stefi talks competitive snowboarding, health, fitness, the Olympics, catching a case, naming cars, her brother being born on a plane, grandfather being born on a boat, growing up in New Zealand, winning the green card lottery and much more. Stefi Luxton fell in love with snowboarding at a young age and realized the only way to pursue her dream would be though competitive snowboarding. She worked hard to get a spot on the New Zealand snowboard team and even made it to the Olympics. She made her way to Mammoth California and was traveling around snowboarding and competing in contests. She fell in love with Mammoth and the lifestyle that surrounds snowboarding, the only problem was she was just not really a competitive person. Through some luck she won the Green Card Lottery which meant for her she did not have to keep up with being on the New Zealand team and get a sports visa to stay in Mammoth and live the life she loved. Spencer Whiting AKA Gimbal God talks about following the riders off of huge jumps, being a human drone, an 11 day stay at the mental hospital, dealing with bipolar disorder, making his film shots look like a video game, paving your own lane, being more open about mental health and so much more. Spenny started out like most guest on this show, he was just a young kid who wanted to become a pro snowboarder. After spending time taking turns filming each other he started to realize that some of his friends were much better at riding then him and he might be smarter to continue filming. He was really good at doing follow cams and maybe this was something he could pursue. He started hitting the jumps with the riders showing viewers a fully new perspective. This new technique earned him the nick name Gimbal God. He decided he was going to make a go at filming but after an incident at the Denver Airport he found himself stuck at the mental hospital on what turned out to be an 11 day hold. He had just learned he was Bipolar and this would be a whole new challenge for him to conquer. Against the Odds Gimbal got a handle on this situation and dove head first into being the best filmer he could be. He started releasing edits that were unlike everything people have seen and the rest is history. Scotty James talks going to the olympic’s at a young age, being called the next Shaun White, how 22 foot half pipes are scary as hell, learning to be your self and not caring what other’s think, the competitive mind set, life in Australia, the modified half pipe, training to be a champion and much more. Lucas talk’s winning $100,000+ in contests, a traumatic head injury and coma, having a near death experience, he teaches us how to play Cee-lo, talks Sasquatch sighting’s, the Rutland Strong arm, quitting alcohol, fatherhood, Goon Gear and so much more! Lucas Magoon is one of Snowboarding’s National Treasures who influenced an entire generation with his style, gear and attitude. At the top of his career he suffered a near death head injury being pulled by a car while skateboarding. The doctors induced a coma that lasted two and a half weeks giving him a 50-50 chance of survival and said he would most likely never snowboard again. It was a long recovery that had many up’s and down’s but there is no holding someone like Lucas back and he was on a board and filming well before anyone thought possible. He is now 5 years off of Alcohol running his brand Goon Gear with his wife Tonya raising their daughter Winter in the east coast. The Dingo talks about the rise and fall of Grenade Gloves, dealing with depression, attempted suicide, sprayingchampagne on people with Lil Jon, working for Monster Energy, helping kid’s with his Find Your Grind project and so much more. Luke “The Dingo” Trembath came from Australia to America to pursue snowboarding at the age of 16. One of the most influential skiers of his generation talks stem cell injections, pain pills, big wave skiing, his quick rise to fame in the ski world, a decent into dark times, sobriety, glacier camping, comparing ski and snowboard cultures and so much more. A true Icon of snowboarding Russell Winfield talks about preserving snowboard culture, being the first and only black snowboarder to have a pro model, the rockstar era of snowboarding, why reverse camber sucks, ice hockey, tweaking grabs in the 90’s, inclusivity, barrier to entry and so much more. There is really only a handful of snowboarders in the world that have accomplished what he has in the realm of video part driven snowboarding. After a life changing injury he had to pick him self up and basically re learn what for him used to be basic tricks. His drive and determination is something that we find amazing at the Bomb Hole. His love for the sport pushed him to get back on the snow even though the doctors told him he might not ride again. He has a deep love for hand rails and even states that as long as he can walk he will be riding the steel at the rail gardens or the local snowboard park. Tyler Bereman is a third generation dirt biker who went from chasing down first place in motocross races to building his own custom courses and becoming a freerider in the dirt bike world. He is known for his whips that basically look like he has the ability to bend a dirt bike in the air and this move has won him gold medals in best whip contests and x-games as well as prominent video parts. His most recent exploit Red Bull Imagination just dropped last month where he built the super park of the dirt bike world and sessioned it with a hand picked crew of the worlds best talent showcasing the top level of in this genre. With three unique Red Bull projects under his belt in one year there is no telling what he will do next but its obvious the sky is the limit, literally. Tyler is the most chill down to earth guy you will meet and when asked by Grenier how he approaches these huge air’s he simply says “Don’t think, just go!!”. Life after being a Pro Snowboarder, filming with Mack Dawg, X-Games Real Snow, what went down on the day Jeremy Jones broke both legs in an avalanche, filming, riding BMX trails, fatherhood and working as Volcom Snow’s global team and marketing manager.
