Here’s TBC executive director, Tom McMahon.</p><p><br></p><p>Tom: Thanks, Gary. Well, this is the second part of our program in which we’re discussing—really, remembering a man who I call my best friend in the Lord. I’ve been working with Dave, taught by him, encouraged by him, for 35 years–20 years with The Berean Call, and…</p><p><br></p><p>Well, anyway, as we mentioned last week, that’s the bitter part of it in a bittersweet thing. The sweet part is, well, Dave is with the Lord. He’s in glory. And that’s not just some kind of “positive mental attitude” thing. That’s what the Scriptures teach, and that’s what we know. So we’re thrilled. Dave in his last couple of years had physical issues, and certainly, the warrior, God’s watchman on the wall, fought the good fight, but that took its toll on him physically in his last years.</p><p><br></p>

It has that mix because we’re going to talk about my best friend in the Lord, Dave Hunt, who went home to be with the Lord a week ago, that is, from the time we’re recording this program.</p>

Last week, Mark Dinsmore, a staff member here and a good friend in the Lord—as I said last week, Mark, I could spend the whole day talking about just what you contribute here, which I greatly appreciate. Last week, we discussed and we will discuss this week a movement in the church called the New Apostolic Reformation, which is…maybe some of you haven’t heard of it, but it is basically influencing millions…</p>

<p>JUDE 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.</p><p><br></p><p>REVELATION 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins [minds] and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.</p><p><br></p><p>REVELATION 18:4-6 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. <p>Our topic for today, as Gary mentioned, is the New Apostolic Reformation. Now, the title sounds impressive with terms like “apostolic” and “reformation,” but what does it all mean? Here to discuss that with me is TBC staff member, Mark Dinsmore, who does so many things here in the ministry that I could spend the entire program on his contributions to our publishing efforts, his design work for our book covers, newsletters, and of course his writing.</p><p><br></p>

He has a radio—weekly radio ministry, which is devoted to educating Catholics in biblical doctrine.</p><p><br></p><p>Greg, we’ve been dealing with dogmas, issues, thoughts, on the basis of what Catholics think. Does it conform, well, first of all to their own church—how does it compare with what the Bible teaches? And, Greg, last week we mentioned the fact that many Catholics don’t believe many of the dogmas of the Catholic Church. Now, how does that work out?</p>

<p>One of the most common expressions one hears in Christian circles, especially for reassurance when things aren’t going well, is that “God is in control, He’s still on the throne.” Christians comfort themselves with these words—but what do they mean? Was God not “in control” when Satan rebelled and when Adam and Eve disobeyed, but now He is? Does God’s being in control mean that all the rape, murder, war and multiplied evil is exactly what He planned and desires?</p>

<p>GALATIANS 5:16-18 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. Our guest is Dave James, the author of The Harbinger: Fact or Fiction?, which in fact takes issue with Jonathan Cahn’s best seller, a book that is obviously growing in its influence among Christians and non-Christians alike.</p>
