At this point in time…BBQ TV was at its highest level. In this segment we talk about the, then, 2nd season of BBQ Pitmasters…this was the year that the show went from “reality show” to “game show”...and it never switched back after that. We talked about the comments he was seeing on social media…how that pays into future iterations of the show and all that stuff.I would like to say this…first…John is a beauty…one of my favorite BBQ people ever…PERIOD…and for a myriad of reasons…not the least of which is…he is just a great human man…I have been very critical of shows that are “game show style” shows…but it has taken this long for me to realize…that it’s easier to continue to do a show in that format…then it is doing any other format…and it took Michael Symon to tell me that for me to finalize realize and accept it…so I do now.
