Compatibility is a critical component of successful, sustainable relationships, but in this episode, relationship expert, Roy Biancalana, explains that in one important sense, intimacy is actually better WITHOUT compatibility.
We all know that "opposites attract," and on the surface, that seems like life is playing some sick joke on us. Wouldn't it be better to be instinctively attracted to someone who is a lot like us?
To that question, Roy offers an emphatic "NO!" In fact, he says it's far better for your relationship and for your individual growth to be with your psychological, financial, emotional and relational opposite. Life, in its brilliance, has made opposites attract—for a reason!
