So WHO do you call and HOW do you get their numbers? Well, let's say you have 500 optins. All you know is their first name and email. Well, you first take out the people who already bought the product. That's 20 people. Down to 480. Then you take out the people who never clicked to the sales page. That gets us down to 300 or so. Then take out the people who only clicked once. That eliminates another 150-ish. Down to about 30% of optins, or 150 people. Target THEM! How do you get the phone numbers? 1. If buyers and you use a CRM, boom. 2. WhitePages.com - reverse lookup by email, etc. 3. ASK THEM! Jennie from Little Girl Designs asked me about segmenting her list to better target content and promotions. Here is my answer. Jennie asked: So, question about segmenting my list. I do it but I don't necessarily sent out content per each segment on a weekly basis. One of the biggest challenges for new online marketers is knowing how many emails they can send to their list. This is especially true when it involves asking them to buy something.
