Show Notes

Is there a link between business as usual and society?  This is the first in a four part series about 'Business as Usual.'

In this episode, we look at the impact of 'business as usual' practices on society. Through three lenses --

-industry consolidation and democratization,

-the housing crisis and

-the whirlpool known as wages.

It is clear that sticking to the status quo is not sustainable for those who want a decent life.  The repercussions of neglecting the broader societal context in which businesses operate, from environmental degradation to social unrest, are all around us.

It's time for a paradigm shift, where businesses don't just aim for profit but consider their entire footprint on the world.
