We also discuss the title of Queen of Heaven, and the various biblical texts that support the Catholic position. It is an enlightening interview, and as always, Steve provides great evidence backed by scripture and history. Does the OT foreshadow the entire history of the church? with Dominic Cagesso
The entire history of the Catholic Church is prefigured by the entire history of the Israelites in the Old Testament. The parallels are "event by event" and even in the same chronological order. These parallels take us past Vatican II and even to our present day. A special emphasis on the parallels between the books of the Machabees and the events surrounding Vatican Il, and how those parallels seem to unravel prophecies in the Book of Daniel about the "abomination of desolation."

S1 Ep 218The Luke Haskell show- Why God established a church of authority.
I want to talk about the authority God established in the Catholic Church today but I want to start by setting the stage with some simple reasoning so people have a clear understanding of why there has to be authority. We will then begin to show the authority God established. So, people come from all different environmental influences including different churches which include the origins of those churches, all accept the Catholic Church being a creation of man. Every church which calls itself Christian that is not Catholic, finds itself as originally in schism from the Catholic Church, in schism from an original schismatic church or something completely separated from the original schismatic’s. So every one of them in their process of being created, to some level or another, developed an image through new interpretations of scripture or a process of elimination of certain texts by calling them metaphorical, in the goal of separation from the Catholic Church.

S1 Ep 210William Hemsworth- Burnt toast and Coffee
Today Steve Ray joins me to talk about what it means to be born again. We discuss what we meant by it when we were both evangelicals, but he digs deep into scripture. Starting with the Old Testament Steve works forward to get the proper context of John Chapter 3 and what it means to be born again the Bible way. He has a great article on his website www.catholicconvert.com where he goes into detail on everything we discuss. You can read the article here: https://catholicconvert.com/blog/2020/11/20/are-you-born-again/ #areyoubornagain #bornagain #saved #areyousaved #whatdoiesitmeantobebornagain #baptism #bornagainthebibleway #steveray #catholicconvert

S1 Ep 187The sickening plague of school shootings in our country with a focus on Parkland
I recently read two books that came about in the aftermath the horrific February 14th, Saint Valentine's day / Ash Wednesday shooting at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas high school in Parkland, Florida in 2018. In the first half hour, we will speak with Thomas Gabor an esteemed criminologist with more than 30 years of experience. Mr. Gabor has done extensive research on these types of attrocities and will speak very frankly about what makes guns like the AR 15 a weapon of mass murder. Mr. Gabor co-wrote the book "American carnage" with Fred Guttenberg whose 14 year old daughter Jaime was shot and killed as she fled into a stairwell to escape the gunman. After our interview with Mr. Gabor, we will play part of a chapter from "Why Meadow died". This book was written by Max Eden and Andrew Pollack. Mr. Pollack's 18 year old daughter Meadow was shot and killed on the same floor as Jaime. 15 other students and faculty died that day. 17 more were injured. After the excerpt, we will talk about what needs to change so that no family will suffer this again. We attempted to get Mr. Pollack, Mr. Eden and Mr. Guttenberg on but were unsuccesful.
