S1 Ep 9Live Notes App Poetry With Leonora Pitts

This week's guest is mega dream boat- actress, producer, writer, community organizer and filmmaker- Leonora Pitts. Together, everyone agreed that ADHD + Anxiety makes you productive AF! Or is it that Leonora can actually bend time? Cristina and Ilana get back into the slow leak of Ilana's plant medicine adventure at Rythmia Life Advancement Center in Costa Rica while aspiring to live in a Tibetan cave. In the meantime: more rage dancing, family dance parties, and new on the scene - soup parties!Leonora will share poetic readings that include chutney, Dormy McDougal, and can anyone help solve the mystery of who the hell is Ozz Bodkins?! She also enlightened our depressive cuties on consciousness based learning and a masters in screenwriting program that Cristina and Ilana would love to apply to, but will forget about in days. If only they could find that list...Other topics include mentorship, loving the small moments and slowing the fuck down.Things Ilana forgot - the word prodromal labor (trying to block that out?) and the fact that she already talked about eating mushrooms TOO young.Shoutouts: Mark Duplass, David Lynch and Maggie Kiley.Endorsements: Reading, Walking, Dancing, Napping and Loving our Animals.Places to Donate, Volunteer and Help those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires:GOFUNDME, List of GOFUNDME'sLos Angeles Fire Department FoundationProject Camp Leonora produced and co-stars in I Hate Myself and Want to Die, currently in the festival circuit and screening at the upcoming 2025 Santa Barbara International Film Festival @hatemyselffilm.Click to Follow on IG: That's So Mental , Ilana Cohn Sullivan, Cristina Fernandez and our guest Leonora Pitts and her podcast Mothering HeightsThat's So Mental FBWe'd love to hear about your mental health journey, DM us or email at [email protected] you to our producer Elizabeth Baquet, sound engineer Kevin Luu, and everyone at Ninth Planet Audio. S1 Ep 8Roommates Are Right With Isa Medina

Straight from New York, comedian Isa Medina is a delight. This may turn into a destination wedding podcast toward the end, so if you're doing that, listen up! What happens when bisexual awareness week meets latino heritage month meets suicide awareness month? Isa explains that here. Cristina and Ilana agree, just make the thing that makes you laugh! Is your drug stand up comedy? Is it podcasts? Or just straight drugs? We want to know! What are the things that curb Isa's anxiety? Sleep, exercise, and Prozac. Ilana gives her hot take of being a 15-year-old pharmaceutical technician, but really she would love to have a pharmaceutical chemist come on the pod - taking recommendations. Cristina wants to know, do 80-year-olds wear contacts? And just fyi, you can not actually explode from the feelings you have when you are a parent, even though it does feel that way. S1 Ep 5Unhinged - Showing off Your Junk in Public

Ilana and Cristina are unhinged and they WILL forgive themselves! In this episode of "That's So Mental," they tackle some of humanity's most challenging life questions: Who the hell wants to measure a room before they paint it? What is the perfect handwriting for a list? Would you eat a Kurt Cobain protein bar? They also (attempt to) discuss the first original story structures that are the foundation for all stories, mom time travel and how there is nothing super about a super-bill. Does Ilana have Borderline Personality disorder or was it mentioned on episode 4, with Dr. Alisa Angelone and her phone started feeding her videos of people with BPD. . . her therapist says it's the latter. And let's not forget the big reveal: The rebrand of the podcast from "Totally Mental" to "That's So Mental," which you may not have even known about! But now we mention it even though we had already corrected it prior to launch....are you confused yet?The lesson these two land on is that everything has been done before and yet everyone should just continue to push forward.Mentions:What Future Podcast, Bad Monkey, Fox News (jk) and Robert Irvine's Fit Crunch Protein BarsThank you to our producer Elizabeth Baquet, sound engineer Kevin Luu, and everyone at Ninth Planet Audio.
