"Baila, Baila, Baila"...Tamarindo's Music Episode!

On this special musical episode of Tamarindo, we have not one, but two very talented #WOC artists that are blending genres, while honoring their R & B roots to create some beautiful sounds. Before we get to our interviews with our special guests Abrina and Malia, we reflect on the #Urban Latinx music takeover that is fully entrenching itself in mainstream American culture at the moment. We also throw a few Latinx songs in the basura that we think are a little tooo played out. Let us know if you agree with us or what you would put in the basura instead!About our guests: Abrina is a singer-songwriter, originally from San Diego, who’s upcoming EP “Sunset Cliff” opens with a Latin trap single and is followed by nostalgic tracks that bring together the influences of SoCal R&B, Hip hop, and Latin music. Her last project ‘Late Bloomer’ has amassed millions of streams and has been featured on the Fox show “Star” with Queen Latifah and the upcoming ‘Truth be Told’ starring Octavia Spencer.
