Daytona SX Recap on the Pro Taper Kickstart Podcast
Presented by PRO TAPER The Monster Energy Supercross Series passed the halfway point this weekend in Daytona, Florida, and the 450 Championship appears to be a two, possibly three-man battle, while the 250 West Coast Championship got a lot more interesting with Cameron McAdoo scoring his first career win and taking over the red plate from Justin Cooper. We cover these developments, and a whole lot more, on this week's Pro Taper Kickstart Podcast!
Pete Fox on the SML Show
Audio version of the SML Show with Renen USA's Pete Fox.
Justin Cooper on the Swapmoto Podcast
Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha's Justin Cooper suffered a setback only a few weeks before the start of the Western Regional 250 Supercross Series when he crashed in a corner and suffered a broken right foot from the bike landing on it. Cooper waited a few weeks before having a special brace made for the inside of his Alpinestar Tech 10 boots and returning to the track. All told, he had four days of riding before the gate dropped at the Orlando Two series kickoff, but the New Yorker made quite a statement by setting the fastest qualifying time and winning the first West Coast 250 main of the season in dominant fashion. We caught up with Cooper this past Saturday to get his take on the race, the rest of the season, and more!
Jeremy McGrath on Supercross, Fite Klub, Knucklehead Racers and more on the Pro Taper Kickstart Podcast
Presented by Pro Taper With Alex Ray in NorCal training with his old HEP teammates, we recruited Jeremy McGrath to help us with today's Pro Taper Kickstart Podcast. The King filled us in on his MotoCar Fite Klub win last week, and we also picked his brain and shot the shit about this year's Supercross Championship. As always, conversing with McGrath is an absolute joy.

Orlando Two Supercross Recap on the Pro Taper Kickstart Podcast
Presented by Pro Taper Man what a night we had inside Camping World Stadium for the Orlando Two Supercross! There was no shortage of thrills or chills on the track, and last weekend Maeda and Antonovich got to witness a lot of it, first hand. Today's Pro Taper Kickstart Podcast covers the crashes, injuries, mechanicals, and victories in detail with swap, Anton, Chase and ARay. Enjoy.
Ryan Dungey on the Swapmoto Podcast
Did you hear the news? Ryan Dungey is racing next week! Hold your horses...it's inside a dirt track car not the Daytona Supercross. Still, it was fantastic to catch up with the legend this morning. We chatted about the brief GEICO Honda ownership, his possible return to Supercross only, the upcoming Fite Klub car race with guys like Carmichael, McGrath, Reed, and more, as well as what led him to launch RD Coffee.
Orlando One Supercross Recap and More on the Pro Taper Kickstart Podcast
Presented by Pro Taper Round seven of the Monster Energy Supercross Series visited Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, last weekend, and we saw two second-time winners this season in Cooper Webb and Jett Lawrence. Rain hammered the area in the hours prior to the race, but the Dirt Wurx crew did a phenomenal job of keeping the track dry and although the racing surface was slippery, it was far from the quagmire that many feared it would be. Freshly cleared with a negative COVID-19 test result, Alex Ray rejoined Chase Curts and Donn Maeda in the SML HQ, while Michael Antonovich phoned in from Orlando to recap the weekend's events and more!
Jo Shimoda on the SML Show
Presented by OGIO Powersports and FMF Racing This is the audio from last weekend's SML Show, featuring Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider Jo Shimoda of Suzuka, Japan.

Indianapolis Three Recap and COVID-19 Reveal on the Pro Taper Kickstart Podcast
Presented by Pro Taper Sorry for the late installment of the Pro Taper Kickstart Podcast, but our Monday was a hectic one filled with SML Show tapings, photoshoots, doctor's visits and more. We recap the wild and crazy Indy 3 SX, discuss the unfortunate Barcia/Friese incident, provide some insight about the upcoming West Coast 250 opener, and more. A 450 main event racer has also been struck down by Coronavirus and will miss the opening Orlando SX round, and we go over that, too!
Indianapolis One Supercross Recap on the Pro Taper Kickstart Podcast
Presented by Pro Taper The 2021 Monster Energy Supercross Championship Series rolled into Indianapolis, Indiana, last weekend for the first of three rounds inside Lucas Oil Stadium, and the racing was just as amazing as it was in Houston. Our very own Alex Ray had the most spectacular crash of the night, and it wasn't even his fault! Hear about that, plus about all of the behind-the-scenes happenings at the track and in the pit that you won't catch on the race broadcast. It's cold, snowy, and windy in the Racing Capital of the World this week, so there was a lot to talk about. Enjoy!
Shane McElrath on the SML Show

Jordon Smith on the Fox Moto Podcast
Presented by Fox Racing Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's Jordon Smith will be kicking off his Western Regional 250 Supercross campaign on February 20 in Orlando, Florida, and that should give the three-time 250 Supercross winner more than enough time to get up to speed following a broken thumb suffered last month in a practice crash. We got together with Smith on the phone today to bench race about the Houston One and Houston Two action, talk about his Pro Circuit teammates, and reflect on what some of the highs and lows of his career have felt like. Smith is one of the easiest guys to hold a conversation with, and we think you'll enjoy this installment of the Fox Moto Podcast.
Justin Brayton on the SML Show
Presented by OGIO Powersports and FMF Racing We've been asked by multiple fans to upload the audio tracks from the SML Show (video property) to our podcast server, as many people have time to listen, but not watch. This is the Justin Brayton show that aired yesterday, Sunday, January 17.
Houston One Supercross Recap and More on the Pro Taper Kickstart Podcast
Presented by Pro Taper What a time to be alive! The Houston One Supercross went off last weekend and we were treated to some great racing action, emotional victories, and result sheet surprises! We're still in H-Town so we gathered at a distance to do this morning's show, and also called in SmarTop/Bullfrog Spas/Honda's Broc Tickle to join in on the fun. We recap the race and also get great insight from Tick and ARay about how gnarly the track was and just how stacked the field is for 2021. Enjoy!
Jeremy Coker on the Swapmoto Podcast
Jeremy Coker is the Team Manager of the new Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha 450 squad, but it's not a role he is unfamiliar with. Technically, Coker has been the Engine Technician for the team for a few years now, but in reality, he has been assisting Brad Hoffman and Wil Hahn for quite some time. Coker's experience in racing is extensive and dates all the way back to the Troy Lee Designs Honda team, and there is no better person to lead the squad of Dylan Ferrandis, Aaron Plessinger, and Malcolm Stewart into the Houston Supercross kickoff. We caught up with Coker to talk about his expectations, the challenges he's faced along the way, the machines, the riders, and even about what he expects from his brother, Christian Craig in 2021. Enjoy!

Chaparral Honda's Michael Lindsay on the Swapmoto Podcast
Michael Lindsay On The Swapmoto PodcastFXR/Chaparral/Honda made it through 2020 intact. Despite a mid-season lineup change and ongoing pandemic, Michael Lindsay's independently-funded effort fulfilled the year one obligations of putting more red bikes on the track and scoring points in both AMA championships. Recent changes to Honda's 250 Class efforts earned the FXR/Chaparral/Honda team increased support for 2021 and beyond, something that is reflected in the personnel (Carson Mumford and Coty Schock as racers, Richard "Pedro" Sterling and Tony Archer as mechanics) and the technical programs (part budgets, new sponsors, refined engine and chassis). Michael Antonovich discussed the recent changes and offseason work with Lindsay in this episode of the Swapmoto Podcast.
Christmas Hangover on the Pro Taper Kickstart Podcast
Presented by Pro Taper Can you believe that Christmas has already come and gone? It seems like just the other day that we were answering the door for our neighborhood trick or treaters, and here we are already only a few days away from the New Year. Today's Kickstart Podcast covers a variety of subjects, including Alex Ray's recovery from last week's concussion scare. ARay actually called in today from Center Hill, Florida, where he is finalizing some bike settings with the team and shooting poster photos at Tyla Rattray's new compound. Chase got out with Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's Jo Shimoda to film last week, and he offers some insight about the Japanese rider and his progress on the new green machine. All in all, a great time on today's show! Thanks for listening.
Mitchell Oldenburg On The FLY Racing Swapmoto Podcast
Presented by FLY RacingMitchell Oldenburg has been off the radar this offseason. That's what happens when you leave the SoCal SX hotbed for Texas and its far-removed race tracks. But that's not necessarily a bad thing, because it's allowed Oldenburg to quietly recover from a knee injury and get back on his Penrite Honda CRF250R in preparation for the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross Series. With the start of the 250 West Coast region about a month away, we gave Freckle a call for this episode of the FLY Racing Swapmoto Podcast.
ARay KOd on the Pro Taper Kickstart Podcast
Presented by Pro Taper Last week, the biggest news among our staff was Alex Ray taking a trip to Endonesia and sleeping in the middle of the track for a few minutes at the State Fair SX track. We hear all about our poor little buddy's misadventures, plus cover a lot of other fun stuff and eve some legitimate news on today's show.
Florida SX, Bad (Ass) Gas, Cut Throats, and Aussie SX Teams on the Pro Taper Kickstart Podcast

We're deep into the off-season and the SML crew covers a ton of things in today's show. swap and Chase spent Monday and Tuesday at the Baker's Factory in Florida, so that's why this week's pod is a Wednesday edition. 450 MX Champion Zach Osborne on the Fly Racing Swapmoto Podcast
Presented by FLY Racing It's been a minute since we caught up with our friend Zach Osborne. We phoned him up early this Saturday morning to recap the emotions of wrapping up his first 450 championship and talk about the upcoming 2021 Supercross season. As always, Zacho was a great conversationalist and he even hinted at something new in his program, come January. We tried to pry it out of him but had no luck...maybe we need to go on a spy mission to Florida to find out!
The Truth About Drilling Holes in Your Frame and More, on the Pro Taper Kickstart Podcast
Presented by Pro Taper This week's edition of the Kickstart Podcast is a doozie! In addition to the usual bench racing, we delved into what is inadvertently a hot topic on the Vital message board and amongst Pulp Nation soldiers...the Ride-Gate drill scandal! But really, beyond that nonsense, we cover a lot of the happenings in the sport and have a ton of laughs!
Carson Mumford on the FLY Racing Swapmoto Podcast
Presented by FLY Racing Carson Mumford made his professional debut this summer in the 250 MX Nationals and finished a respectable 12th overall aboard his GEICO Honda CRF250R. A long-time member of the GEICO Honda squad, Mumford made his mark in the mini classes aboard a very special CRF150R, winning several Amateur National Championships along the way. When the team announced that it was closing its doors, Mumford was left without a ride, even though he had two years remaining on his contract. Recently, news has broken that he has joined the Chaparral Honda squad, which is now in its second year of operation. We checked in with Mumford this afternoon to see how the new team, machine, and personnel are suiting him.
Hunter Lawrence on the FLY Racing Swapmoto Podcast

Lots of laughter and good times...enjoy!
Jay Reynolds on the FLY Racing Swapmoto Podcast
Presented by FLY Racing We're caught the opening rounds of the Hoosier Tires Arenacross Series a few weeks ago in Oklahoma and were introduced to Jay Reynolds, the organizer and the promoter of the 15-round race series. It's cool to see hundreds of amateur riders and a few Nationally-ranked pros on the starting line in the same night, and Reynolds has big plans to make the series even more appealing. If you're a pro-level racer or a very good amateur, then you should really have an eye on the Hoosier Arenacross series. Their purse payout and sponsorship contingency package is solid, but the broadcast plans that MAVTV and FloRacing have announced are excellent opportunities to get your name and results out to the worldBut if you're a back of the pack rider or a beginner, the Hoosier Tires Arenacross series will have something to offer you. It's tough to get a race in during the winter months and you'll have that chance at venues around the Midwest and Southeast over the next few months.
Supercross Madness on the Pro Taper Kickstart Podcast
Presented by Pro Taper SoCal is abuzz with activity at the public and private Supercross tracks as racers are starting to prepare for the upcoming 2021 Monster Energy Supercross Championship. We spent the morning at Lake Elsinore's recently opened Supercross track, and the course was as packed as the 91 freeway at 4:00 p.m. Our co-host Alex Ray was among the riders circulating the track, but he was nearly lost amongst the Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha and SmarTop/Bullfrog Spas/Moptoconcepts/Honda teams, who made up a large portion of the attendees. There were no races to bench race about today, but it was one heck of a fun show. Enjoy!

Presented by FLY Racing Our 2021 250 Motocross Shootout comparison has come to a close, and after our final day of comparison testing at Cahuilla Creek MX Park, our testing staff gathered at Blackmore Ranch in Murietta, California, to relax and do some bench racing about all five of the machines we spent the day riding. While the official shootout results are yet to be determined (lots and lots of data and test rider feedback must be processed), the PNG Happy Hour conversation offers a ton of insight about each of the machines. Which bike will win? Draw your own conclusions and see if you were correct when we drop the official results next week! Use the code SML20 for 20% off all PNG products at pinnaclenutritiongroup.com

Presented by FLY RacingAfter a whirlwind year, we're well into the offseason and already looking towards 2021. Fox Raceway Recap on the Pro Taper Kickstart Podcast

Last weekend's Fox Raceway MX National went off without a hitch and both classes saw first-time National Champions crowned in dramatic fashion. We also had first-time winners, first-time competitors, and new rivalries spark up out of nowhere. We covered it all in this week's Pro Taper Kickstart Podcast. Enjoy!
Jordan Jarvis on the Fox Feature Podcast
Presented by Fox Racing This week, Fox Racing released the newest installment of its excellent UNPLUGGED series, featuring five-time AMA National Champion Jordan Jarvis. Intrigued by the video, we decided to track the 19-year-old down and find out a little more about her in this episode of the Fox Feature Podcast. Says Fox Racing: North Carolina native Jordan Jarvis has been spending time at a motocross track since she was a few months old. The daughter of a former racer, Jordan was raised around the sport and eventually chose to pursue racing full time as her interest in team sports like tee ball and soccer started to fade when it they took away from her time at the track. Around the age of 8 or 9, Jordan's speed had progressed quite a bit and she started lining up against the boys to test her skills. Fast forward and 4 Loretta Lynn's titles later, she's taking on a new goal. To qualify for an AMA Pro Motocross national in the 250 Class. If anyone can do it, JJ can.

Lots of funny stuff in today's show...big thanks to Randy and the guys at Pro Taper for making it all possible.

We phoned up the New York native to get his take on the big win and also to ask about the social media drama that unfolded afterward!.
