<p>After two decades, the GRK signs a historic plea deal where he offers to confess his horrific crimes in exchange for sparing his life. The secret, five-month confession would test the will of the seasoned detectives who had worked the case for decades before the GRK, a pathological liar and remorseless killer, would finally share the details of how he murdered 49 teens and young women.</p> <p> </p>

<p>7,638 days—or  20 years, 10 months, and 29 days—after Wendy Coffield’s body was found snagged beneath Peck Bridge, the suspected GRK is arrested for murder. But will investigators have enough for a conviction?</p> <p> </p>

<p>A DNA match links a suspect to several GRK victims, and detectives reopen the case in secret, watching and waiting for the killer to slip. But when an undercover cop unwittingly arrests the suspect, the task force is jolted into action.</p> <p> </p>

<p>After the investigation into the “Truck Painter” grows cold, the Green River Task Force is presented with a new opportunity. Can an '80s version of a reality TV show and detectives opening up the task force vault to an anxious public help lead them to the killer?</p> <p> </p>

<p>A new computer database helps detectives see a viable suspect in all the shoe leather investigative work. The suspect will become known as the “Truck Painter,” and over the next six months, detectives will dig into his background. Did they finally find the GRK?</p> <p> </p>

<p>Desperate for answers and willing to consider “outside the box” thinking, Detective Dave Reichert gets a letter from an unlikely source offering his assistance: Theodore Bundy.<br><br>Will the charismatic, duplicitous, and utterly diabolical serial killer help the Green River Task Force find the GRK?</p> <p> </p>

<p>A new victim, Gisele Lovvorn, is found on land a few miles away from the Green River in September of 1982. But Giselle’s murder has all the hallmarks of the river victims. Green River Task Force Detectives are convinced that a serial killer is on the loose in the county. And as the growing list of missing girls and young women continues to mount, investigators burn the midnight oil trying to find the killer. </p> <p> </p>

<p>The biggest true crime scoop since Ted Bundy stirs up a media frenzy. At the same time, the profile of the killer and his victims begins to take shape, with many of the victims referred to as prostituted people — A distinction that would plague an already complicated investigation taking place in an era before mainstream computers. </p> <p> </p>

<p>The first detective on scene where Wendy’s body is found describes what he saw. Retired Sheriff Dave Reichert says while there, he discovered a second body. Three more victims were found in three days, stunning the community and kicking off the reign of terror of a faceless killer.</p> <p> </p>

<p>On the banks of the Green River, the body of Wendy Lee Coffield is discovered in July of 1982, the first of many attributed to the GRK. Wendy at age 15 was seeking connection, desperate for love and safety, but instead encountered a remorseless serial killer. </p> <p> </p>

<p>Episode 9 - After 50 years, the cold case unit is still adding details to the butcher paper roll that Detective Mike Davidson tacked on the wall of the Clark County Sheriff's Office back in 1976. A timeline of crimes, Warren Forrest has both been convicted of and suspected of. Including the disappearance of Diane Gilchrist and the murder of Gloria Knudson. Both young women matched his type and modus operandi. Could forensic sweepings collected back in the 1970s from Warren Forrest's van connect him to more cases? And possibly another murder charge? Or push him into a confession. After more than five decades, the eyewitness who claimed to have seen a woman tied to a tree in Dole Valley around the time Jamie Grissim went missing has been found. Could he help a K9 team narrow down the search for Jamie Grissim if her remains are in Dole Valley? </p> <p> </p>

<p>Episode 8 - A forgotten serial killer means forgotten victims. With the support of survivors, family members, law enforcement, and DNA, Warren Forrest is successfully convicted of another murder. After 50 years, he is officially branded a serial killer. But the family members of his other suspected victims are left twisting in the wind when the cold case unit investigating Warren Forrest is disbanded.</p> <p> </p>

<p>Episode 7 - Convicted once, Warren Forrest, is suspected of being a serial killer - and yet, all the unsolved cases of missing and murdered young women whose crimes investigators attribute to him, go cold. But after decades with no answers about her missing sister, Jamie Grissim, Starr wants answers. And what Starr and investigative reporter, Dan Tilkin, dig up would change everything. And just in time. After three decades in prison, Warren Forrest is up for parole.</p> <p> </p>

<p>Episode 6 - After just a couple of years at Western State, Warren Forrest convinces hospital employees to sign off on his release, but a judge must approve. While Forrest waits for the judge, the body of another missing young woman named Krista Blake is found. She was recovered just feet from where Norma Jean Countryman was hog tied. The detective investigating Krista’s homicide is the first person to see the pattern of missing and murdered young women in Clark County: could Warren Forrest be a serial killer? </p> <p> </p>

<p>Episode 5 - In a shocking turn of events, Warren Forrest isn’t charged for his crimes against Norma, and he is found not guilty by reason of insanity for his crimes against "Susan." Forrest is committed to Western State Mental Hospital in January 1975. A few weeks after his arrival, a fellow Western State patient, Karen Wiles, is found murdered nearby. Despite her murder matching Warren Forrest’s MO, he isn't investigated as a person of interest.  </p> <p> </p>

<p>Episode 4 - Because investigators didn’t believe Norma, the charismatic stranger is free to kidnap another young woman. He took “Susan” to another Clark County park, sexually assaulted her, tortured her and left her for dead in a shallow grave. She crawled to a roadside and flagged down a car for help. Unlike with Norma, investigators believed Susan. The good-looking stranger is arrested. About a week later, the bodies of two unidentified women are found in Dole Valley just a few feet from each other. Their remains are near where the student ID and purse of Jamie Grissom were found.</p> <p> </p>

<p>Episode 3 - A 15-year-old girl is approached by a good looking stranger who offers her a ride. Norma Jean Countryman would get in the van, but instead of taking her home, the stranger drove her to the nearby woods in a Clark County park. He tied her between two trees, blindfolded her, punched her in the face, and left. Norma chewed through her bonds to escape before he came back. But when she recounted her harrowing night of survival and gave a detailed description of her abductor and his blue van, she was not believed.</p> <p> </p>

<p>Episode 2 - The body of a missing young woman is found at the bottom of an abandoned silo at the old Grist Mill in Clark County. 18-year-old Barbara Derry had been killed, stabbed in the heart. The investigation of her murder wouldn’t lead to an arrest. The following spring, five months after Jamie Grissim’s disappearance, the still missing teenager’s student ID card and other belongings are found on the side of the road in Dole Valley, roughly 30 minutes away from her home.</p> <p> </p>
