Toni Collier has a conversation with Jo Saxton, someone who has been like a mentor to her. Jo talks about the dysfunction in her previous church and healing from pain in the church experience. Toni and Jo discuss what it looks like to be in a church that is supposed to be worshiping God, that has a vertical posture to Him, but that’s also absolutely broken with crazy human beings. What do we do after we’ve been hurt by the very place that we’re supposed to be receiving healing and miracles? How do we get back up? How do we grieve really well, and what are the next steps to inviting Jesus to meet us right where we are?
