The Terrible Podcast — Steelers-Bengals Recap, Aaron Rodgers Injury, Spitgate Takes & More

November 17, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 51 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into our overarching thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 11 Sunday afternoon home win against the Cincinnati Bengals. In our weekly housekeeping portion of this Monday show, which is sponsored by the fine folks at TouringPlans.com, Alex and I talk about the Sunday afternoon inactive list and the few transactions the team has made since our Friday show. Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers sustained a left wrist injury late in the first half of the Sunday game against the Bengals and it resulted in him leaving the contest at halftime. Alex and I discuss the latest reports concerning that injury and whether Rodgers will ultimately miss a game or more as a result of it. Sunday's game included Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase spitting on Steelers S Jalen Ramsey, and it resulted in the former being ejected from that contest due to him throwing a punch. We discuss how Chase lied after the game about spitting on Ramsey and whether he or Ramsey will be suspended for any future games. We talk about Ramsey's reaction to getting spit on and how such an act is unforgivable. After going through the newsy items related to Sunday's game, Alex and I look at what all transpired at Acrisure Stadium. We talk first about the play of the Steelers defense on Sunday and that includes us discussing the individual performances of several players. We talk about Chase being limited in the passing game, Bengals QB Joe Flacco holding the football longer, and obviously the two key takeaways for scores that were registered during the second half. Steelers CB James Pierre continues to play well on Sunday, so we discuss how he deserves to play ahead of CB Darius Slay moving forward. We also discuss the bad penalty called on Steelers OLB T.J. Watt on Sunday. After discussing the play of the Steelers defense against the Bengals, Alex and I then do the same when it comes to Pittsburgh's offense. We talk a lot about how QB Mason Rudolph played in the second half and how RB Kenneth Gainwell and TE Darnell Washington made a few game-changing plays during the contest as well. We discuss the role yards after the catch played in Pittsburg's win over the Bengals and we make sure to hit on a few snap counts from that contest on that side of the football. The Steelers converted a few key third downs on offense on Sunday so we make sure to talk about that. We make sure to point out that the Steelers offense really only had two offensive possessions in the second half of Sunday's game. Alex and I provide a few thoughts on Pittsburgh's special teams play on Sunday and that includes us focusing in on one punt return that WR Calvin Austin III had in that contest. This 114-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we wrap things up by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. The Terrible Podcast — Steelers Vs Bengals Preview, Injury Reports, Coordinator Pressers, Week 11 Picks & More

November 14, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 50 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers as they prepare to play the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday afternoon at Acrisure Stadium Alex and I start this show off by looking at the Thursday injury report released by the Steelers. We discuss the few players to watch closely on the Friday report and whether CB Darius Slay will be able to play on Sunday due to him being in concussion protocol this week. Will WR Ke'Shawn Williams be active again this weekend as a returner? If he isn’t, will rookie RB Kaleb Johnson be given another chance to return kickoffs? We address both of those questions early in this show. Alex and I also discuss the possibilities of both WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling and CB Asante Samuel Jr. being elevated from the practice squad on Saturday. On Thursday, we once again heard from two of the Steelers' coordinators, Arthur Smith and Teryl Austin, so Alex and I recap the main talking points to come out of those media sessions. While not a lot of pertinent information came out of those two media sessions, we address a few of the things both of the coordinators said. We welcome Jay Morrison of Sports Illustrated back to the show on Friday, and he helps us preview the Steelers-Bengals game. Morrison has covered the Bengals for many seasons, and nobody knows that team better than he does. I get his thoughts on several things related to the Sunday afternoon game in Pittsburgh. Jay fills us in on the Bengals’ injuries, how QB Joe Flacco has fit in on offense the last several weeks, and the state of the Cincinnati locker room on the heels of their last two losses prior to bye week. Jay talks about the Bengals’ offense and defense quite a bit in this interview, and we get his score prediction for the Sunday game at the end of the interview. If not already doing so, make sure to follow Jay on X/Twitter at @ByJayMorrison and make sure to read his work here: https://www.bengalstalk.com. After finishing with Morrison, Alex and I provide our own preview of the Steelers-Bengals game. We break down what we are looking for out of each team on both sides of the football Sunday afternoon. Alex and I then give our picks against the spread for the remainder of the Week 11 NFL games provided by show sponsor MyBookie.ag. We also give our final score predictions for the Steelers-Bengals game. This 108-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted above and we end this episode by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. Nov. 6 – Ep. 80: For this episode of The Depot Dive, Ross McCorkle and Joe Clark recap the disastrous game against the Los Angeles Chargers on primetime. They start by discussing Aaron Rodgers' bad game, and how he had very little help on offense around him to make up for it. We also talk about the defense looking good, but the other two phases letting them down. Next we talk we do a deep dive into the offense and try to answer the question of whether or not the offense can turn things around after a few bad games in a row. Can Marquez Valdes-Scantling help, and will he even play this weekend? For the final topic, we preview the Bengals game, including both teams' injury reports. The Terrible Podcast — Talking Steelers Signing Asante Samuel Jr., Tomlin Tuesday, Chargers All-22 Final Notes & More

November 12, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 49 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers making several transactions since our last show with one of those being the signing of CB Asante Samuel Jr. to the team's practice squad. After going over all of the recent transactions, that also includes rookie QB Will Howard being activated to the 53-man roster from the Reserve/Injured list, Alex and I talk about what kind of player the Steelers are getting in Samuel. We also discuss the possibility of Samuel making his Steelers debut as early as Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers will have several notable injured players worth tracking these next few days, so Alex and I run through that list based on the information that HC Mike Tomlin provided on Tuesday during his weekly press conference. As usual, Alex and I parse all of the notable talking points that came out of Tomlin Tuesday. We discuss what Tomlin had to say about S Jalen Ramsey, the Week 10 usage of RB Jaylen Warren, the possibility of WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling getting elevated sooner rather than later, and much more. Tomlin gave us several things to discuss on this Wednesday, so we spend quite a bit of time doing so. With the All-22 tape from the Steelers' Sunday night road loss to the Los Angeles Chargers now fully digested by us, Alex and I discuss the good, bad and ugly that we uncovered from that. We start with the offense and that includes a discussion about how poorly QB Aaron Rodgers played, the explosive plays he missed, the running game output, third down failures, and much more. Should WR Roman Wilson start receiving more playing time than WR Calvin Austin III moving forward? Alex and I discuss that topic as well as whether we are concerned about Rodgers coming off his poor showing on Sunday night. Alex and I make sure to discuss the play of the Steelers' defense against the Chargers and how that unit started to wear down in the second half. We look at the first half running success the Chargers' offense had in the first half related to the second half. Alex and I mix in quite a few tape observations during this show and we make sure to discuss the recent play of several different players as well. This 110-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we wrap things up by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. The Terrible Podcast — Steelers-Chargers Recap, Offensive Sunday Night Offense, Transactions & More

November 10, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 48 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into our overarching thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 10 Sunday night road loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. In our weekly housekeeping portion of this Monday show, which is sponsored by the fine folks at TouringPlans.com, Alex and I talk about the Sunday night inactive list, the few injuries sustained by the Steelers in their 25-10 loss to the Chargers, and the few transactions the team has made since our Friday show. The Steelers played very poorly on offense against the Chargers and QB Aaron Rodgers had a big hand in that. We discuss the offensive woes the Steelers had against the Chargers and that includes the unit’s ineffectiveness on third downs and the inability to produce explosive plays. We discuss a few huge misses that Rodgers had down the field and the running game only had just a few bright spots on Sunday night. The two interceptions are discussed in addition to the failed fourth and goal play. Overall, we struggle to produce very many positive things to say about Pittsburgh's offensive effort on Sunday night other than to conclude it was very offensive to watch. While the Steelers’ defensive play wasnt awful against the Chargers, the unit still failed to register any takeaways to go along with their five sacks of QB Justin Herbert. We discuss the good, bad, and the ugly when it comes to the Sunday night play of that side of the football. We discuss the quick snap to throw time of Herbert. The few big plays the Chargers offense registered, and much more. The Steelers weren’t great when it came to special teams play on Sunday night, so we go over that phase of the game from the Sunday night loss as well. Should the Steelers be heavy favorites in Week 11 against the Cincinnati Bengals? Is this more than just a middling 2025 Steelers team we are all watching? Are at least five more wins this season for the Steelers a lock? We discuss those several questions later on in this show. Will we soon see WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling get playing time on offense? Should such a thing happen in the coming weeks? Alex and I address those few questions late in this show as well. This 88-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we wrap things up by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. The Terrible Podcast — Steelers Vs Chargers Preview, Injury Reports, Coordinator Pressers, Week 10 Picks & More

November 7, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 47 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers as they prepare to play the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night. The Steelers made a few more transactions since our Wednesday show so Alex and I go over the Addition of DT Brodric Martin-Rhodes and the waiving of OLB DeMarvin Leal. We also go over the fact that the Steelers now enter Friday with just a 52-man roster. Will Martin-Rhodes see action on Sunday night against the Chargers and how does he fit with the Steelers? Alex and I attempt to answer those two questions early in this show. We also discuss whether the Steelers will activate QB Will Howard from the Reserve/Injured list prior to the Sunday night game. Alex and I go over the injury report released by the Steelers on Thursday as we attempt to get a better handle on who might be out this week. On Thursday, we once again heard from two of the Steelers' coordinators, Arthur Smith and Teryl Austin, so Alex and I recap the main talking points to come out of those media sessions. As part of this conversation, Alex and I discuss how QB Aaron Rodgers has fit in with the Steelers so far and how it looks like he has a great relationship with Smith. Will the Steelers ultimately sign free agent CB Assante Samuel Jr.? We talk about the visits that he has taking this next week and his potential fit in Pittsburgh should he ultimately sign with the Steelers. With no opposing team beat writer to talk to this week, Alex and I provide our own preview of the Steelers-Chargers Sunday night game. We break down what we are looking for out of each team on both sides of the football Sunday night. We start by looking at the Chargers offense before talking in-depth about their defense. Several key stats and rankings for both the Steelers and the Chargers are mixed in throughout this preview as well. Alex and I then give our picks against the spread for all of the Week 10 NFL games against the spreads using the lines provided by show sponsor MyBookie.ag. Nov. 6 – Ep. 79: For this episode of The Depot Dive, Ross McCorkle and Joe Clark start off the episode recapping the Steelers' big win over the Colts. How did the defense stop their skid against the league's best offense, and what changes can they learn from moving forward? We discuss all of that and more. Next we talk about the Steelers' inaction at the trade deadline and why that may have made the most sense given the inflated trade market. Pittsburgh also has an opportunity to keep adding to their roster with CB Asante Samuel Jr. We dive into how important another addition to the secondary is given the thin depth chart. The Terrible Podcast — Talking Steelers At Trade Deadline, Tomlin Tuesday, Colts All-22 Final Notes & More

November 5, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 46 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers not making any deals to acquire additional players on Tuesday, the final day of the NFL's 2025 trade deadline. We go over how hard the Steelers likely tried to trade for a wide receiver on Tuesday and the players they reportedly attempted to deal for. We also talk about the price that a few players ultimately went for in other trades. Overall, Alex and I let it be known that we weren’t surprised that the Steelers didn’t make any trades on Tuesday. Alex and I talk about several of the trades that were made by other teams on Tuesday. The Steelers made a few practice squad transactions on Tuesday, so Alex and I make sure to recap those moves. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin held his weekly press conference on Tuesday and as usual, Alex and I parse all of the notable talking points that came out of that session. We discuss what Tomlin had to say about Jalen Ramsey being moved to safety and the play on Sunday of new S Kyle Dugger. We also discuss Tomlin's thoughts on WR Roman Wilson and the running game on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. Tomlin commented briefly on Tuesday on the signing of WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling to the practice squad, so we recap what he said about him. Tomlin ran down the health of the team on Tuesday so Alex and I go over that recap and what it might mean when it comes to the team's injury report for Week 10. With the All-22 tape from the Steelers' Sunday afternoon home win against the Colts now fully digested by us, Alex and I discuss the good, bad and ugly that we uncovered. We start with the offensive play on Sunday and that includes a discussion about lack of explosive plays the unit has produced so far this season. We also have another healthy discussion about the solid play turned in by the Steelers defense on Sunday. Should there be concern when it comes to the Steelers relying heavily on takeaways from the team's defense? Alex and I discuss that question that seems to be a popular one to start this week. Alex and I mix in quite a few stats during this show and we make sure to discuss the recent play of several different players as well. This 103-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we wrap things up by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. The Terrible Podcast — Steelers Vs Colts Game Recap, Defensive Rebound, Trade Deadline & More

November 3, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 45 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into our overarching thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 9 Sunday home win against the Indianapolis Colts. In our weekly housekeeping portion of this Monday show, which is sponsored by the fine folks at TouringPlans.com, Alex and I talk about the Sunday inactive list, the few injuries sustained by the Steelers in their 27-20 win against the Colts, and the several transactions the team has made since our Friday show. The Steelers defense played extremely well on Sunday against the Colts as they rebounded following the unit's poor Week 8 showing against the Green Bay Packers. Because of that stellar performance by that unit against the Colts, Alex and I start on that side of the football. Alex and I go over the schematic and personnel changes the Steelers made on defense on Sunday against the Colts that resulted in the unit registering numerous takeaways and five sacks of Colts QB Daniel Jones. We discuss the several big plays made by the defense on Sunday and go over some key stats when it comes to the scheme used. While the Steelers defense was far from perfect on Sunday, the good clearly made a difference in the game. Will the Steelers continue to use Jalen Ramsey and Kyle Dugger as their two starting safeties? We discuss that possibility and go over several snap counts on that side of the football. After thoroughly breaking down the play of the Steelers’ defense on Sunday, Alex and I then discuss the good, bad, and ugly from the offense against the Colts. That unit was able to produce 24 points off of turnovers and even without registering any explosive plays of 20 yards or longer. We talk about how the offense was clunky overall on Sunday but managed to produce three touchdowns just the same. WR Roman Wilson fumbled away the football late in Sunday's game, so we discuss that play. We also discuss some key metrics related to the play of Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers against the Colts. We make sure to highlight the play of TE Darnell Washington, WR Calvin Austin III , and RB Kenneth Gainwell during this show. The Steelers special team units performed well on Sunday, so Alex and I discuss the contributions in that phase of the game. We also break down the brilliant decision that special teams coordinator Danny Smith made in the second half as part of a kickoff. Ramsey held court with the team on Saturday night, according to Rodgers, so we discuss that little tidbit later in this show. With the annual NFL trade deadline now upon us, Alex and I look at the possibility and probability related to the Steelers trading for a wide receiver. Could Washington Commanders WR Deebo Samuel be an underrated trade option for the Steelers? What other positions might the Steelers consider trading for other than wide receiver? We attempt to answer those questions later in this show. Did the Steelers win convincing enough on Sunday? Alex and I discuss that flawed question and narrative making the rounds on Monday morning. This 103-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we wrap things up by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. October 31, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 44 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers as they prepare to play the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night. We discuss the Steelers' injury situation heading into Friday and other miscellaneous items related to the team that have happened since Wednesday. On Thursday, we once again heard from two of the Steelers' coordinators, Arthur Smith and Teryl Austin, so Alex and I recap the main talking points to come out of those media sessions. We discuss Austin on talking about how he mostly does the play calling on defense and how HC Mike Tomlin has the liberty to call some plays as well. We go over several key stats related to the Steelers defense as the team enters Week 9. We also talk about the Steelers moving two players to the Reserve/Injured list on Friday and if the offense will stay committed to using a sixth offensive lineman on Sunday should G Isaac Seumalo miss the Week 9 contest with his pectoral injury. We welcome the Indianapolis Star's Joel A. Erickson to the show on Friday, and he helps us get started with a preview of the Steelers-Colts game. Erickson has covered the Colts for many seasons, and nobody knows that team better than he does. We get his thoughts on several things related to the Sunday game in Pittsburgh against the Colts. Joel fills us in on the play so far of the 2025 Colts based on what his preseason predictions for the team were. October 30 – Ep. 78: For this episode of The Depot Dive, Ross McCorkle and Joe Clark start off the episode discussing how disappointing the Steelers' defense has been with several stats to back it up. We recap Sunday night's loss to the Packers and where the blame falls. Why did they abandon the run and does the offense share in the blame for the second half collapse? Next, we talk about next Tuesday's trade deadline and the Steelers' first deal for Patriots S Kyle Dugger. Who else should they add and is it even worth it at this point given their 4-3 record? For the final topic, we preview the Colts game, go over the injury reports for both teams, and discuss a few notable matchups to watch. The Terrible Podcast — Talking Steelers Trading For Dugger, Tomlin Tuesday, Packers All-22 Final Notes & More

October 29, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 43 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers acquiring S Kyle Dugger from the New England Patriots via a Tuesday trade. Alex and I discuss why the Patriots likely traded Dugger, why the Steelers wanted to trade for him, and how the new safety will likely fit in the defense moving forward. Alex and I go over what the tape says about Dugger and much more. The Steelers have made quite a few transactions since our Monday show, so Alex and I recap the recent cuts and additions. We also discuss the recent injuries the Steelers sustained that will result in at least two defensive players, S DeShon Elliott and DL Daniel Ekuale, being placed on the Reserve/Injured list this week. We also discuss the possibility of Elliott returning from his knee injury later on in the season. Will the Steelers ultimately sign free agent WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling? Will the team ultimately trade for a wide receiver prior to next week’s deadline? Alex and I address those two questions in the middle of this show. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin held his weekly press conference on Tuesday and as usual, Alex and I parse all of the notable talking points that came out of that media session. With the all-22 tape from the Steelers Sunday night home loss to the Green Bay Packers now fully digested by us, Alex and I discuss the good, bad and ugly that we uncovered. We go over several of the offensive and defensive deficiencies the Steelers have as they are now getting ready to play the Indianapolis Colts at home on Sunday. Alex and I mix in quite a few stats during this show and we make sure to discuss the recent play of several different players as well. This 116-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we wrap things up by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. The Terrible Podcast — Steelers Vs Packers Game Recap, Injuries, More Defensive Woes, MVS Visit & More

October 27, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 42 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into our overarching thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 8 Sunday night home loss to the Green Bay Packers. In our weekly housekeeping portion of this Monday show, which is sponsored by the fine folks at TouringPlans.com, Alex and I talk about the Sunday night inactive list, the several injuries sustained by the Steelers during the game against the Packers, and the report that the team is bringing in free agent WR Marquez Valdes-Scandling in for a visit this coming week. The Steelers’ defense registered another poor showing on Sunday night against the Packers and particularly in the second half. Alex and I spend quite a bit of time breaking down the defensive play against the Packers and how that unit couldn’t get it done against the pass in either man or zone. We talk about the several big plays the defense gave up to the Packers, the quick game used by Green Bay QB Jordan Love, and how TE Tucker Kraft dominated with his yards after the catch. The Steelers defense turned in another poor tackling effort Sunday night against the Packers, so we discuss that subject. We also discuss how the defense’s ability to mostly bottled up the Packers running game certainly wasnt enough. The outlook for the Steelers’ defense moving forward isn’t great, in our opinion, and we explain why. We also go over a few comments made by Steelers DT Cameron Heyward and ILB Patrick Queen after the Sunday night home loss. After tearing up the play of the Steelers defense, Alex and I move over to discussing the play of the Steelers’ offense on Sunday night. We discuss that unit going 1 of 10 on third downs. We talk about the limited success the Steelers had with their running game in the first half and that side of the football just couldn’t finish drives with touchdowns. We go over some of the missed penalties from Sunday night and how several called penalties against the Steelers in the second half certainly did not help matters. The play of the Steelers special teams units was fine on Sunday night and we make sure to highlight that briefly during this show. We discuss the tough next three games that the Steelers have on their schedule and how they are once again early home underdogs in Week 9. This 102-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we wrap things up by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. The Terrible Podcast — Steelers Vs Packers Preview, Injury Reports, Coordinator Pressers, Week 8 Picks & More

October 24, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 41 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers as they prepare to play the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night. We discuss the Steelers' injury report heading into Friday and other miscellaneous items related to the team that have happened since Wednesday. On Thursday, we heard from two of the Steelers' coordinators, Arthur Smith and Teryl Austin, so Alex and I recap the main talking points to come out of those media sessions on this longer week. There is a lot of talk from us in this segment about what transpired in Week 7 against the Cincinnati Bengals and how the team is preparing for the Packers. We welcome Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel back to the show on Friday, and he helps us get started with a preview of the Steelers-Packers game. Silverstein has covered the Packers for many seasons, and nobody knows that team better than he does. We get his thoughts on several things related to Sunday's night game in Pittsburgh against the Packers. Tom fills us in on the Packers' trade for OLB Micah Parsons and how he has played for Green Bay since arriving. We also talk to Tom a lot about Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers as he prepares to play his former team. Tom talks about the Packers' offense and defense quite a bit, and we get his score prediction for the Sunday night game at the end of the interview. If not already doing so, make sure to follow Tom on X/Twitter at @tomsilverstein and make sure to read his work here: https://www.jsonline.com/staff/4804382002/tom-silverstein/ After finishing with Silverstein, Alex and I provide our own preview of the Steelers-Packers game. Ep 77The Depot Dive - Episode 77 - October 23, 2025

October 23 – Ep. 77: For this episode of The Depot Dive, Ross McCorkle and Joe Clark recap what went wrong in the Steelers' 33-31 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. We talk about the struggling defense, the flourishing offense, and what needs to change on both sides moving forward. Next, we talk about the approaching trade deadline and the names that have loosely been connected to the Steelers so far. Could Aaron Rodgers' success change the calculus at the deadline? For the final topic, we preview the Packers game and discuss injuries for both teams. Will the offensive line be able to slow down Micah Parsons? Is Aaron Rodgers full of it when he claims this isn't a revenge game? We talk about this and a lot more. To wrap up the show, we answer a listener question about Spencer Anderson. The Terrible Podcast — Talking Steelers Transactions, Injury Updates, Tomlin Tuesday, Defense Against Bengals & More

October 22, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 40 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers making a practice squad transaction on Tuesday and how the team might now open a 21-day practice window for one of their two quarterbacks that are currently on the Reserve/Injured list. Alex and I briefly discuss whether or third quarterback is needed on the 53-man active roster these next few weeks and what the Steelers would do during a game if both Aaron Rodgers and Mason Rudolph were to go down injured. Will the Steelers also open the 21-day practice window of CB Cory Trice Jr. this week? Alex and I address the possibility of that happening. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin held his weekly press conference on Tuesday, so Alex and I go over all of the notable things that he had to say. We go over what Tomlin said about WR Calvin Austin III possibly returning from his shoulder injury this week. Is Steelers OC Arthur Smith likely to become an NFL head coach in 2026? Alex and I once again address that possibility on the heels of a few things Tomlin said about Smith on Tuesday. We also go over what Tomlin had to see about the lack of defensive snaps that OLB Nick Herbig had on Thursday night against the Cincinnati Bengals. Is it plausible that Rodgers could return for one more season in 2026? Alex and I attempt to answer that question during this show. After even further review of the defensive all-22 tape from the Week 7 game against the Bengals, Alex and I dive deeper into how that side of the ball played in coverage and most notably when it came to types and how WR Ja'Marr Chase was defended. We speculate and suggest how the Steelers might want to defend Chase in the upcoming rematch against the Bengals. The Terrible Podcast — Talking Steelers Exiting Mini Bye, Bengals All-22 Final Notes, WR Trade Plausibility & More

October 20, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 39 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into talking about where the Pittsburgh Steelers stand as the team exits their mini bye week. As part of our weekly Monday morning housekeeping portion of the show, which is sponsored by Touringplans.com, Alex and I look at where the Steelers now stand in the AFC North and how the team has four very tough games coming up. We discuss the possibility of the Steelers getting injured WR Calvin Austin III back for the team's Sunday night home game against the Green Bay Packers. There continues to be rumblings about the Steelers trading for a wide receiver at some point in the coming weeks, so Alex and I again address that topic. While it's plausible that the Steelers could wind up trading for a wide receiver before this year's deadline, we are not overly convinced that any such deal will come to fruition. Now that Alex and I have completed our individual looks at the all-22 tape from the Steelers Thursday night loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, we each give extended thoughts on what transpired in that contest. We start off with the positives that we saw from the Steelers offense against the Bengals and then go over the several negatives that transpired on defense. We discuss the quick snap-to-throw time that Bengals QB Joe Flacco had on Thursday night and how the Cincinnati running game gave the Steelers defense fits. Missed tackles played a huge role in the Thursday night loss so we go over that element from the contest. We also discuss once again the limited playing time that Steelers OLB Nick Herbig had in Cincinnati. Alex and I both agree that we will learn quite a bit more about the Steelers defense in the next two weeks as that unit will face quality offenses in the form of the Green Bay Packers and the Indianapolis Colts This 98-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we wrap things up by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices.
