We go over what kind of player Parham is and his chances of making the Steelers' 53-man roster this offseason. We also discuss the details related to his one-year contract as well. There's been a lot of buzz concerning Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford the last several weeks, so Alex and I discuss the possibility of him landing in Pittsburgh via a trade in the next few weeks. We discuss how intriguing it would be to see Stafford in a Steelers' uniform and if we both ultimately think he winds up being traded by the Rams. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers recent hiring of Scott McCurley to be the team’s new coach for the inside linebackers. Alex recaps why it is that he’s a bit underwhelmed by the hiring and much more. We also discuss how it looks like the Steelers' 2025 coaching staff is now set. The Steelers recently terminated the contract of OLB Preston Smith so Alex and I go over that expected transaction. We briefly discuss the salary cap savings the move produced, what is likely next for Smith, and if he could possibly return to Pittsburgh later in the offseason. On the heels of Smith being jettisoned, Alex and I go over the Steelers 2025 salary cap situation as of Tuesday night. We also discuss the effective salary cap space the Steelers have based on forthcoming costs as well as a cash spending outlook for the team. The Steelers will need to decide if DT Larry Ogunjobi will stay on the roster by March 15 as that is when he is due a $3 million roster bonus. With that big decision forthcoming, Alex and I discuss the pros and cons of releasing Ogunjobi and everything that should go into that decision-making process. The Steelers are likely to give a restricted free agent tender to RB Jaylen Warren in the next three weeks, so Alex and I go over the two main options related to that forthcoming decision. We discuss the pros and cons of giving Warren just a right-of-first-refusal restricted tender and the possibility of the team signing the running back to a contract extension at any point during the offseason. We also discuss key dates related to restricted tendering during the offseason. On Tuesday, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that Steelers OC Arthur Smith did not want QB Russell Wilson changing plays at the line of scrimmage during the latter portion of the 2024 regular season and how that supposedly caused some friction between the two. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers having two more players, G Isaac Seumalo and QB Russell Wilson, added to the annual Pro Bowl Games this week as alternates. We discuss whether being added as a Pro Bowl alternate should count for anything when it comes to a player's career resume. Steelers team president Art Rooney II is making his annul media rounds this week to give his thoughts on the 2024 season as well as the future of the organization moving into the 2025 season. As usual, Rooney gave us quite a few talking points to parse. Alex and I go over what Rooney had to say about the quarterback position heading into the offseason. Is QB Justin Fields the apple of Rooney's eye this offseason? What about the possibility of the Steelers drafting a quarterback this year? We discuss everything related to that position based on comments Rooney recently made. We also discuss the positional needs for the offseason that Rooney hit on as well as his thoughts on his continued trust in HC Mike Tomlin. Rooney also discussed the size of the coaching staff, potential changes to the staff and how he thought OC Arthur Smith did in his first season in Pittsburgh. Rooney made it sound like OLB T.J. Watt will be extended this offseason, so we discuss that topic. We also discuss what Rooney said about WR George Pickens moving forward. We also go over it sounding like RB Najee Harris won't be back in 2025 and if the Steelers would dare think about drafting another running back in the first round again. We go over Rooney saying the team really didn’t learn anything from the drafting and subsequently failing of QB Kenny Pickett now that he's gone from the organization. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing the two NFL Conference Championship games that took place on Sunday that resulted in the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles set to play in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans. We spend some time talking about what we learned from the final four teams in the 2024-2025 playoffs as it relates to the Pittsburgh Steelers moving forward and especially when it comes to the quarterback position. After discussing the several former Steelers players that will be on the two teams playing for this year's Super Bowl, Alex and I discuss the Steelers' process of attempting to land their next franchise quarterback at some point during a draft. Should the Steelers seriously consider trading S Minkah Fitzpatrick this offseason?
